I just got my 350 from element vape, I've bought quite a bit of gear from them and never had a problem. After unboxing and hooking upmy tfv8 it worked like a charm for a few hours until a demon possessed the damnmod. I was vaping and while it was in my hand it started to fire on its own, I had to quickly unscrew my atty and then it stopped. I did notice like a beeping sound; almost like an alarm of sorts before and while I was unscrewing the atty, and then I pulled thebatteries (just to clarify they were purple brand new imrens that I also bought with the mod). After I pulled the cells to check them I saw they were okay and put them back in. The mod started fine and could fire my atty. After that I noticed that when I remove the atty and push the fire button it doesn't say check atomizer like all other mods, butinstead when I push the button it acts like there is an atty, it reads just as if there was an atty on, and I repeat this happenswithout the tank on the mod. I also tried a different tank on it and it didn't ask if it was a new coil to reset the ohms. The mod fires fine and the wattage can be adjustednormally. It hasn't done the beeping and self firing anymore, but I'm concerned that itdoesn't recognize when there is no tankattached and you can just fire it, not that it does anything when you do but it meansthat safety feature is disabled. I hope we can get an update that fixes the issue.

Mine does the same... Any updates?

I just had the same thing happen to mine. Fine one minute, then possessed the next. I was discussing this on another forum and was suggested to try and dry out the mod with rice in case juice got on the chip. Sat for two days, just tried it again tonight and same issues. Other folks are having this issue as well. Since I'm within the warranty period hoping I can get a replacement but upsetting this appears to be a more common issue the longer they have been on the market. Would be nice if a firmware update would fix this but it may just be poor chip manufacturing.

I almost bought one of these mods but didn't like the feel of it in the end and got the alien instead. I went in for a marshal 320 but the guy in the store didn't recommend them said the battery door wasn't very good. Glad I got the alien . Nice bit of kit. Hope you get it sorted.
I'm a HUGE fan of the alien as well. Wanted the GX 350 for the battery life. I don't typically vape over 100 watts and the 4 cells was giving easily more than a day without having to change them out. But glad I had the Alien when the GX350 went out.... Otherwise I would have broke out my IPV3 dinosaur (which really could be called IPV3 Fallout edition as it looks like it's seen nuclear war).

Mines doing the same but it goes a step further and worse I found a .... ton of secret settings in the mod that it started scrolling through, there was contrast screen, brightness, color, etc.. that were not available at any other time then it just started locking and freezing up randomly.

sir, i also have this issue. I spammed the buttons and tried taking on and off the batteries and now it tells me when I turn the device on it tells me to reset settings? and the only thing I can do is yes because the wattage buttons are in no function at all. and my fire button locks and unlocks my device. is there anyway to reset the firmware of gx 350 manually? I tried to plug it in the computer but it has no effects at all it doesnt even charge the freakin batteries. Mine is 2 months old by the way. and I really love how it conserves batteries up until issue.

I'd say since there are similar occurrences among different users, it's likely to be the mod. I would return it immediately, given that smok has been having QM issues (I assume, I doubt they're doing this purposefully). Don't wait it out or void the warranty, ask for a replacement or warrantied repairs. I'd be very nervous even turning on a mod that was doing some of those things....

Just my opinion, of course.
