I have been looking for sites to get cheap batteries and accessories. So I know about fasttech and focalecig. And I have been reading all the posts about them. It seems kind of hit or miss about how reliable they are. I seem to be getting a 50/50 on it. Some people love the sites some hate them. I came across another couple sites tonight while searching around and was wondering if anyone here heard of them or has ordered from them.
The first one is focalcigarettes.com. Not to be confused with focalecig. I don't think they are related at least which is why I was asking on here. I couldn't seem to turn up any information about them at all. Their prices are pretty low but so is their selection. So I was wondering if they were new? Or if it might be a scam site looking to cash in on people trying to find cheap ecig stuff? It makes me wonder when the only references to a site you can find are the site itself and a lone youtube video with no sound of someone looking over a starter kit they got from there, but then when you look into the video you find out that it was posted 4 months ago by the website itself. Seems kind of suspect. But could also be explained that they are just that new to the scene.

The other website is vaporworld.biz Apparently a usa based wholesaler. They claim their products are authentic, but who knows. The prices are about the same as some of the clones except for certain things which are still 1/3 to 1/2 the price of retail.

My thing is that I am wanting to upgrade my battery because swapping back and forth between two 650mah ego style batteries, (both are clones I'm sure because i got them cheap from generic smoke shops not an actual vapor product specific retailer). And I like the look of the vision spinner 2, but I can't afford to pay close to 60 bucks like some of these places are selling them for just because it'c claimed to be authentic and might not be anyway. I honestly have no problem with "clones" my first one got partially burned when I was burning leaves and still works fine even thought the button is melted. So just because it;s a clone doesn't necessarily mean it's a cheaply made piece of crap. So to me if I can get a clone of the same style battery that works just as well for 1/3 of the cost i have no problem with that. I just would prefer not get burned by a website that is just a front to take your money and then dissapear once people start to figure out it;s a scam.

yeah i may have exagerated a little but they are close to 50 on some sites once you include shipping. But that is a nice crawler site. i will be using that.

As far as clones go. I have been wondering lately about something. So to be clear everyone understands that even the authentic stuff is still manufactured in china right. So what if some of the stuff we think of as clones aren't really clones? but instead product that didn't meet certain quality control standards so they couldn't go to the "authentic" company. But rather than loose money on those sub par products they sell them wholesale to sites like FT who then sells them to us. That would explain why sometimes the only difference in the clones and originals are some minor cosmetic flaw but over all they function the same. And sometimes even an authentic flawed unit slips through the quality checks and quit working the first time you drop them. I have read about the same type of flaws with authentic stuff and the clones going on in some reviews. So that's what got me wondering if some clones were actual back engeneered clones and some are authentic that didn't pass quality control and so they got sold as a clone to another company. But heck even with name brand stuff once in a while you get a defective unit. As long as you can get it replaced or refunded it;s no big deal.

Well a good 1:1 clone vs authentic are very close, altho most clone orings are kinda junky. I still buy clone RDA's here and there to get a base to see if I like it or not then if I do I'll buy the authentic version. I wouldn't really suggest buying a clone of a ego/spinner battery/box mod. Like isticks there cheap and built pretty good from 20-100w devices that go for around 20-50$ if you want a budget mod.
