I find that I do get more hungry between meals since I started vaping instead of smoking, but my weight is stable, within 5 lbs of my ideal weight.

I also had to climb 3 flights of stairs 3 times the other night. When I was smoking I would have felt the first flight the first time, but after 40 something days smoke free the total of 9 flights of stairs was no problem!

I too have lost a few pounds (yea!) When I did smoke analogs, I would usually eat something to rid myself of the nasty taste of analogs. If I want something sweet, I grap a sweet liquid (stawberry) and that satisfies my cravings. Also, since I am now vaping, I have more energy to do things.....without gasping or wheezing.

I like the Atkins Diet...it works for me.

I stopped analogs completely around a month ago and I gained like 5lbs that don't seem to be coming off even with exercise, diet pills, and a clean diet. I don't get it because I am still getting nicotine via vapes.... I ate more and a lot of junk food and 0 exercise when I was smoking but now that I quit and started exercising, eating right, and even taking stimulants and appetite suppressants I've gained 5 lbs :(. It's pretty frustrating haha - is there anything else in cigs that helped keep the weight off?

My room mate is convinced that I have developed a pot belly since I quit, but I just dont see it.

This also may have something to do with it, I noticed my taste has changed also. My sweet tooth isn't as severe and salty /spicy food is awesome now that I can really taste it. And my preferences are running toward that kind of food more now instead of sweet-sugary.
LOL, for me its been pretty much the opposite. Take spicy out of the equation... I always have and always will love it! But even a small amount of salt is to much. And along with rich ejuice like my favorites (butterscotch & peanut butter) I'm enjoying sweet food and drink more than I ever did before.

Gashin - Don't you hate it when you tell the world you've gained weight -, and they say ....'oh not me, the pounds are just falling away'.?
Well fellow traveler - I have gained weight tooo. very surprising. I've gone from my usual size 6/8 to size 12 - just since I stopped smoking. Very very distressing. My theory is that it's not the nicotine in cigarettes that causes weight loss but something in the other 4,000 additives that revved up my metabolism. In other words- something that the e-cigs don't have. There's something in the analogues that effects me like speed or amphetamine. When I smoked analogues, I could go all day with a pack of cigarettes, and a big glass of wine for dinner -- what's that 500 calories - a day? Now I'm more relaxed. Find myself draping myself over the open refrigerator door a lot more often.

Yeah there is something in the smoke - I bet also because it destroys your taste receptors so food isn't as appetizing. I've lost the weight I've gained through running and stimulants/appetite suppressants! These aren't THAT bad - on the short term they're harmless for most people... for a cheap stack just use bronkaid, a supplement called syneburn, and green tea (works better than commercial fat burners) but I'm also using one called lipo6x because it has some thyroid stimulating herbs.

I think that I have read here somewhere that trhe PG and VG when inhaled are absorbed into the bloodstream and broken down into sugars or starches. End result being that they can contribute to weight gain. I have gained about 10 pounds or so under my belt that I am not to happy with, but it might be the extra Dr Peppers I drink when vaping to clean my mouth with. At 220 I am not really overweight but do have a little gut now, I have been trying to cut back on my cola intake but vaping makes me really thirsty and water seems to make my mouth dryer, yuk.

I have no clue if the calories are used from inhaling vapour, however what is the worse case?

There are 5.7 calories in one gram of PG, by "furnace" measure, which means "if you eat it, and your metabolism is capable of effectively digesting the entire substance." Density of PG (per Wikipedia) is 1.036g/cm^3. That is 5.28 calories per mL. That is 5.28 calories per mL, maybe .... 4 mL a day? 21 calories a day... It's not significant.
