I use an 18490 in my ba gua, although it's the only one that fits so not sure if yours would be the same (when i ordered they had the option of 18350, 18490 or 18650 tubes but they were not interchangeable)

I got my 18490 from vape escape - i prefer going with AW over efest, they are a little more expensive but the general consensus seems to be that they are better. I got my 18350 for the provari from LF, but that's an Efest and i dont think it would last me through a full day without charging.

I dont know if vape Escape are the cheapest though - to be honest i didnt shop around for battery prices, just stuck with Vape Escape as they have always been quick delivery.

Yeah, mine is 18350 so i think the 18490 will be too big. I didn`t Think you could get different length tubes though.

I think the original ba gua was a 16500 or something, then the newer 22mm ones are available as 18350, 490 or 650. I dont think you can actually get the tubes as a seperate item, although it may be something that becomes available in the future as i would have thought everything else about them is exactly the same, save for the differences in tube length.

18650 size does make for a big mod, but i do like the fact that my evic still has the original samsung battery in (prob a little under 3 months old now) and after a full charge it lasts me a full 48hours before i need to plug it in again. I thought the battery had degraded a little, because at one point it was only getting up to a max of 8.5 watts, but now it's reaching 11 again, so must have been something to do with the carto i had in the tank at the time.

I would stay away from the 601 pipe. I have 2 of them, you CAN'T replace or clean the atomizers, mine are currently useless. The 618 looks promising, just wonder why they don't list replacement atomizers, search turned up nothing. Wonder what the threading is, 510? or something strange. Deserves more research before ordering. But it did give me an idea of modding one of my 601's with a 510 connector so I could attach a tank and get some use out of it.

Well you lot have been busy again I see

Just got settled at home now, fed and watered after doing a 14 hour stint instead of the original 12 hours - I'm knackered.

But for all the nay-sayers that want to see pictures, I've downloaded tapatalk on my phone. Once I suss out how to use it, I'll be polishing up my tubes and snapping away :p

Only problem with today was, I missed out on a co-op buy that hit the order limit in just over an hour. It's my own fault for being a money grabber at work

The bagua tubes you were asking about Terry - I got an extra caravela style tube with my bagua co-op buy (for 18650 batteries). Only problem is, the tube is plain, unlike the highly engraved 18350 tube. So I'm gonna be on the lookout for a switch and topcap in the bagua style to fit the spare 18650 tube. At the moment it's sat there doing nothing and the threads on my other mods are different so won't fit :(

How you getting on with the Reo Ian ?

Still in love with it mate. It stays at home at the moment, cause my PV's tend to get a bit scratched when they come to work with me. Still on the same coil/wick too - vaped at least 10ml on it already :)

Here's a good place for batteries Cody, got some 350's from them a couple of months back, good prices too :

Its no problem ian,

I am very happy with it in 18350 mode. All i was thinking was longer battery life, but i rarely take it out of the house anyway.:p By the way the multimeter is working fine now, you were correct about the lowest setting for reading ohm`s.

When i touch the two probes together, i get 1 ohm. Thats what was confusing me i think. I didn`t know to deduct that 1 :p

As long as you've sussed out the multimeter now that's the main thing. You could also check your reading on the vamo, just to be sure that it's working right when you do the deductions.

My meter normal shows 0.5 or 0.6 ohms when I touch the probes together, so if I get a 2.0 coil on the meter I know it's really 1.4 or 1.5 ohms - hope that made sense ;)

Paul. The only small problem I've found with the Reo is the locking button. Sometimes when I pick it up for a vape I partly turn the button a little so it partially locks, the button rotates that easily. That's the only tiny problem I've found with this perfect mod, so not a big deal at all :)

Yes it makes sense now Ian,

I just checked my V5, and it read 2.5 so i take the 1 off that for a perfect 1.5 coil :toast:

Just one more thing i need to know now mate, in an earlier post you mentioned about running the probes down a length of wire, before building a coil to get the resistance you want.

How do i do that mate ???

If you straighten out a length of wire and hold the end of the wire under the negative probe. Then slide the positive probe along the length of wire away from the neg probe, you will see that the ohm value goes up. It will give you an idea of how much wire to use for a given ohm value. Rough example : 30mm wire length = 2 ohms, 40mm wire length= 3 ohms, 50mm wire length=4 ohms etc.

I do this if I get some new thicker or thinner wire, so I've got a rough idea how much wire I need without wasting too much

Right i got you now thanks,

I will just try that and see if i can do it.

I am just getting readings fluctuating all over the place

You need a steady hand mate to do this, make sure you constantly make a good connection with the wire, or the readings will jump all over. Also, move the pos probe very slowly.

Like I said, I only do this as a guide for wire length, it's not an exact science mate :)
