Hey guys didn't stop in yesterday as was busy with work (yawn) but catching up now thought I'd add to the IPV2/batteries discussion:

I think those 20A continuous batteries will be fine for the ipv2 whatever you do with it Terry. Looking at other discussions about the issue and the info on the chip in that mod:

SX330 50W Chip

it seems to suggest that 20A is the max input anyway so I think you'll be fine.

I'm not sure exactly what calculations Bob has done about this but I don't get the same numbers when I plug some things in. the IPV 2 is 50W down to 0.2 ohms so pushing it at that I get about 16A output. As bob said you can only go 50W if the coil is 1.4 ohm or lower as the device has a 8.5V limit.

Thanks Adam, i never thought to look for the specs on it. Anyhoo, looking at that and the ohms what i typically vape at, all should be good. :)

Brilliant idea Bob on the battery tests. It seems the more you read, the more you feel there is only 1 safe battery out there ( the vtc5 ). I'm sure not everyone vapes at full speed and needs 30a all the time. A genuine test of test is really needed especially with all the new batteries coming on the market and I would like to see the test include how long the batteries would last ( in ml ) on an average mod.

Just had a reply quote "I don't currently have the knowledge or gear to do a comprehensive test of batteries. But it's certainly something I'm thinking about."

So not for quite some time methinks

At least you got a reply and it shows others are thinking along the same lines as us.
Nice try.

Brain is getting frazzzled, I'm sure it was on here that someone said they don't use it.

I remember saying that I did use it Bob  You've got me doubting myself now, brain fog must be catching

Doesn't work really - if it's too vague "you're not listening" ...."You're using that computer again!" - Heck, just about everything to do with my work in on this computer, and if I'm actually working, I don't always listen intently! ...no, I have to somehow keep half my mind on what he's talking about and half my mind on what I'm supposed to be doing - at the end of the day, I remember nothing!

Well, I'm sorry he had that accident (even if he shouldn't have been off-piste!) - but I always thought him arrogant and with an entitled attitude. He was even unpleasant to his brother in public at times. So sorry, but I didn't much like him as a sportsman.
Don't care for the Williams sisters either, or that dreadful little toad Phil Taylor the darts player. Husband likes darts but kept turning it off when he was playing. I told him the law of averages say he'd start losing, and he actually missed the pleasure of seeing him beaten a few times ...so he watches it now. I hear a positive exclamation now and then, which means he got beaten!

We have a single chap neighbour who developed an uncomfortable habit of turning up at mealtimes, when I was working, or we were watching television etc. - he even brought his Dad sometimes!. Lot more to it, but it went on for 18 months & started impacting my work in a big way after a while because I half expected a knock at the door all the time. Husband didn't quite know how to deal with it, so it was down to me to be firm and make it clear they needed to scarper ..permanently!
Just got back into my proper work routine again, and a few months later stopped smoking and lost my concentration! Drat! Can't win sometimes :(

Been trying a couple more of the FlavourArt ready to use liquids today. I'd had the cocoa/fresh cream in a tank yesterday, so re-filled it with Vienna Cream and put perhaps 5% of NT Strawberry Symphony in it. It was lovely! Vienna Cream is a cream, meringue, sugar one, so that small amount of strawberry together with a tiny bit of cocoa residue made for a very tasty combination! I'll use that again.
I've also tried the Vanilla Tahity ..very light cream & almond flavour at the moment, so perhaps needs to sit for a while!

Normally I just nod when she's talking and I'm replying on here, who says blokes can't multi-task  Problems occur when she stops talking and I'm still nodding

I agree Schuey always struck me as arrogant too. It amused me that he was the head of a safety campaign at one point, yet he forced more drivers off the track than anyone else  I'm still hoping he gets back to pre-accident health though, wouldn't wish that sort of accident on anyone.

I've just taken advantage of the NT coupon code, the 15% off almost covers the UK postage :D Ordered 50ml of Strawnilla (not tried it before, but love the sound of it) and 50ml of Doodle (used the last of mine last week). I would have ordered some more of the f5 Refresh, but I don't think their making any more - shame, it's a lovely juice too :(

There`s a guy who does the pub rounds up here, carries a basket with kippers, cockles, muscles, prawns etc. Everyone calls him ken, and when i call him Darryl, i get some funny looks

The reason is this...Ken who is/was Darryls dad started the business off way back in the 70`s, and believe me when i say there was a transitional period ,when the son took over, and because they looked so so alike no one seemed to notice .

Even i used to call darryl ken, till my younger brother explained to me

Very nice kippers though whatever his name

My Dad absolutely hated fish of any sort, apart from kippers. It was the only thing with fins that he'd eat

Any sign of your new batts yet mate ??

That was sort of the start of my message to Phil, saying that now VTCs are hard to get hold of and eFests showing Pulse rate, also that we are now getting mods that are 150w plus, what are the alternatives to the community and would he be prepared to do a test review of available batteries. When I get a reply I'll let you all know.

Shame he won't review alternatives. Like you say, there'd be a lot of interest in the vaping community.

Great stuff mate.

Did you see my earlier post about the useless screwdriver I got in the IPV2 kit ?? Just wondering if yours is ok for taking the battery door off.

Maybe a treat for chrimbo mate who knows ;) Might wait till the price drops a bit first though.

Or maybe a lottery win

Right off for a shower, need to wash the day's grime away. Loads of coughing, sneezing and wheezing on my bus today and that was just from the engine

Had a swill down, logged back on and my NT order is ready to be shipped already - that's what I call service

Think I might be getting a free sample too. Got a message from NT saying the order was ready to ship and in the middle of the note it said - Free Roundhouse, Neat.
Not tried the Roundhouse yet, but you know me, I love free stuff

---------------------

Just had a sniff at the juices that I mixed up from the samples that Trisha kindly sent me, they smell lovely. Don't know what they'll vape like, probably try them this weekend and report back.

Yep mate, a 18650 Hana Mod in Red, a cheap MP3 player and 4 Sony VTC4 batteries. Their coming by surface post though, so it'll be a long time before I get them.

I've got the Slug in my wishlist for now, waiting on a few reviews first, being a coward

--------------------------------

So that's the FT order, the NT juice order and the Odin from Loki Labs that I'm waiting on now.
