I used to have my own aerial, in fact I was the only one in the block of 16 maisonettes that had the aerial on the roof attached to the old chimney stack, but they built a new block next to ours and a lot of the tenants complained about the signal on both Sky and Aerial, (I wasn't affected)) so now we a communal system for both and I sometimes lose the aerial signal in my room because I am the furthest away from it, and it is extended from the box downstairs, and i had to pay for the extra Sky terminals to be put in upstairs, and because of the cable length I get a slightly lower signal than downstairs but at least don't lose the signal.

Cable never really took off in most parts of London, it was too expensive to cut the cable runs etc, so Virgin just gave up.

For us to put up an aerial would be a real pain to be honest. My neighbour had one put up and then changed over to Sky 3 months later  We live in a nature valley, so reception is terrible. We don't have a chimney stack, so the aerial has to be mounted on a special pole at the side of the house. The birds just roost on my neighbour's aerial and leave their deposits down the side of the house  Think I'll just stick with Sky. I did try putting an aerial in the loft at one point, but it was a waste of time - terrible reception. When they built our houses they installed, the aerial sockets in the living room and front bedroom and ran the cables up into the loft. So the cable is already there, but quite frankly useless :(

Well I am off work tomorrow. Plus my Step-son got me a big bottle of coke for my birthday (amongst other things), he keeps on having a cheeky swig though. So I have to use up the coke, before he nicks it all. Be rude not to pop a slug of JD in with the coke.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

Good enough for me mate, i like a few tinnies meself

Yes, can be a problem living in a valley unless you are in direct line of sight with an transmission aerial on a hill, where I am is direct l-o-s from Crystal Palace, so we did get a brilliant signal, but when they put up the communal stuff they took all our dishes and aerials down, which makes us more vulnerable.

Depending on my experience with A express, i probably won`t bother with FT again bob. From what i can see at ali, you get stuff direct from the supplier, and ali is just like a hub, is that correct ?

Yes that is correct and they work in the same sort of way that Paypal do, in that they don't pay the supplier until after we have received the goods and told them of receipt or after the allotted time (can't remember how many days).

FT get some stuff that Ali don't and vv, some things can take longer to ship with Ali, as they are dependant on the supplier.

I just had a quick look, and it is 45 days bob, and i think it is 1-5 days before tracking shows anything . Going off what adam said, his order only took 10 days so we`ll see. :)

Why is it bad to link or mention here Bob?

If you are talking about Ali_Express, the forum will not allow links to their site or even their name .......... that's why you have to put the underscore in, their rules not mine :)
the same applies to other words like SpottedDick see Spotted .... & Custard

Those dots were put in by the system

Must admit, I'd much rather have flavour over clouds any day. Extra clouds are just an added bonus
Too much clouds for my liking ....fogs some of the nearest windows up this cold weather too! :(
....cute hat! ;)

Sounds right up my street that one Trisha, I love a nice dark chocolate too.
Yes, it's very nice, ....and of course the coffee in the Tiramisu. I'll get both of those again:) ......and they have a nice sounding chocolate cake too!

I think you've found a winner there with Highbrow. The extra customisation makes a big difference, all juice suppliers should offer the same level of options :)
They do seem good for some, definitely. I'll try their Vanilla too next time ..they have two, so not sure which yet. A decent vanilla is good to mix with things.

Oh no, not the dreaded Von Trapp family  I really do loathe musicals, why make a perfectly enjoyable film, then spoil it by singing. I'm not saying The Sound of Music is a good film though
I don't like musicals either! West Side Story was perhaps the best I saw, and then a few years later found myself having to perfect 'Tonight' tutored by my voice coach.

You know me well Trisha, I'll soon have those juices knocked into shape
I'm sure you will! :)
I got my 100 + 30mls of Doughnut today and 50ml of Mint choc Vapetto, so I'm happy now they're here! I also got two Mom & Pop concentrates: tobacco Dolce & Blaze (formerly Haze) and a Flavour Art Maple Syrup. Got a bit of 'tinkering around' with tobacco, vanilla tahity, maple type stuff in mind.

NT has Radioactive back - I would have loved to try that but it's 50/50 PG/VG :(

I think Chefs must have had a longer wait than expected for the labels etc. as there's no sign of new ones yet.

We get that sometimes too. Because The Wife or myself have some days off during the week, we'll get the carriers knocking on the door "can you take a parcel for number 10 please". Had one last week, for the house at the end of the road. Was that peed off with having to take parcels around for the neighbours, I said to the Wife, let her come round and pick it up. It stayed on the bureau in the hall for 3 days, before she decided to come round
I didn't mind when it was a fairly rare occurrence, but when it becomes obvious that people are just taking advantage, it's a liberty. I had to tell the delivery men and postman that we didn't want to accept any more of them. The Parcel Force man pulled a face, but the others were fine about it.
I'd like to make the delivery peoples lives easier, but it just became a bit of a farce.

I bet the "stollen" will be nice though, looking forward to that one :)
It'll have a bit of cinnamon in it too! I like the almond centre in Stollen, so hope that's included ..can always add it myself though!

At one time they would have split the order and shipped out the 3 they already had in stock :(
They probably still do if asked - they did that for me a couple of months ago.

I also got a reply from craptech...Then i noticed the tracking now says arrived in the uk !!
One of mine does now, the other still in a black hole.

You can only vape it one day per year though, so it will last a llllooooonnnngggg time
Don't forget to heat it thoroughly before consuming though because of the salmonella & campylobacter bacterias! ;)

We're just stuck with Sky here, no TV aerial so we can't get any digital terrestrial channels. Cable won't be installed on our street either, only 10 houses, so I guess it's not profitable enough for them. Daft thing is, one of my neighbours works for Virgin media
We got a small Sony Bravia TV years ago for the kitchen/dining room and it was great, so we got a larger one for the sitting room - then I got a 22" one for in here. All really good. Last year, the aspect on the small one changed with an update and it was difficult to read text on the bottom when the news was on. So I saw the Bravia 24" smart TV and got one for in here (studio) and moved the 22" to the kitchen - great. All are HD too and have integral Freeview, so we were surprised last night to both be watching Film 4+1 and found mine working perfectly with Freeview and the bigger one not! I reckon with mine being a smart TV, it's done whatever update it needed to do via wi-fi from my router, and the bigger one can't do that/isn't capable of it. Manual update isn't fixing them.
I've got a Sony HDD recorder too but doubt that'll update with this type of thing either!

The Sharks & The Jets - another great musical - "Maria, I once met a girl named Maria" :)

The last Sony I bought was when they still did CRT TVs - blinking tube went a week after the guarantee ran out - never bought another Sony product since, downstairs the wife has a 37" Tosh FV Full HD with a LG SmartBox and we use a Sky box to record anything that she wants to see that clashes and in my room I have a 40" Sammy Smart FV Full HD both bought from Tesco at a ridiculously low price, my system upstairs is set up so that the YouView, Sky and Blu-Ray player are all connected through a Kinivo switch to the HDMI 1 input on the Sammy and everything controlled by a Logitech Harmony 650 remote, I use the YV box to record terrestrial channels and the Sky box for anything else and watch most of my stuff later in the week/month, usually late at night when there is nowt worth watching.

I did ask, and was told they have a list of vendors/words that are banned and not to try and post links to them or get round posting them, in other words you'll get banned if you deviate from their rules - one of the reasons I like AAEC - very few rules and you can post links to virtually anything and they don't have any concerns about clones, same applies to the new one "The Vaping Forum" but that is still getting off the ground.
