Well it will be my turn tomorrow, the council are upgrading the electrics so that they comply with the new standards, means I will have no juice between 08:00 and 17:00 and seeing as our gas central heating is controlled by an electric switch and pump, it's going to be a blinking awful day, no heat, no TV, no computer.
If it wasn't for them needing access throughout the day, I'd just stay in bed, one consolation I can still make hot drinks as the cooker is GAS, have to light it with matches tho', so I can boil the water. "Do Not Open" notices printed for the Fridge & Freezers to remind the home help & missus, just got to remember to turn off things that I normally just leave on standby as we don't normally get up until 09:00

That's totally wrong of the Council to expect you to go without leccy for that long Bob. What if you needed to use the phone in an emergency and had no mobile - most cordless phones have to be plugged in to the electric as well as the phone line to work. Totally out of order in my opinion, they should provide some sort of back up power if it's off for that long.

Well my hobo rda clone from FT arrived, even though the tracking didn't update. They just must have forgotten to scan it in this country.
Was initially pleased with the quality of it until I built it and realised the AFC barrel doesn't line up as it should.
Anyone ever had an issue like that with an item from FT and if so when you complained did they send you a new one or what happened?
Looking at it I think I might be able to fix it myself by filing down a surface a tiny bit so it threads down a little more but it's not ideal
To be honest Adam, a lot of the stuff I've had from FT has needed some form of modding. Guess that's the price we pay for such cheap stuff.
If it's just a small job, I don't mind too much though.
