Thanks! I prefer the wattage range on the iVP, but if this other mini works at true wattage (as I expect it does) I can cope with 7W as I mostly used 6.5-7 on the MVP2, and it's a neater size close to the iStick.Sorry yes...You would be better asking bob trish, as he has the clouper

....I think the colour of the iVP blue one was what I liked a lot, and the 5W start. MyEpack said they weren't sent any gold or blue ones, so perhaps rumours about the colour finishes having problems is correct.I see FT now has iStick copies as well as the Smart-20 - but what I just noticed is that it states 2.0-20.0W ..but that's not so on them - or is there something I'm not understanding?

2nd the Cloupor Mini maybe a bit too much power for you with the 7w starting figure, also be careful with the IPV one : see next comment
IPV Power
Had got some MBV Cinnamon Roll to try, in the dripper it was a bit strong, but nice, so have decided to put it in one of my Lemos along with 20% Whipped Cream to soften it out, and as i had just finished off a clearo on the IPV thought, it's going to look massive on that, so switched a KFL+ with Posset in from the Pyra (DNA30) to the IPV, Pyra had been set at 13w, so set the IPV to 13w, just tried it and UGH a horrible burnt juice taste, have had to turn the IPV down to 11w to get the same as I was getting on the Pyra - so it looks like the IPVs are almost as bad as the iSticks with over power.

I am starting not to trust chinese made so called low power mods, because to get 2w @ 3v your coil would have to be 4.5 ohms or more , it's a bit better on the IPV Mini because at 3V & 5w coil would have to be at least 1.8 ohm
Oh dear, you paid the extra dollar for Swiss (I am the slowest) Post - All of us have never paid VAT on stuff from FT - they tell porkies on the customs form.
Try importing something from the US that's over $30 then you'll get hit

I've been OK with the 7W on the MVP2's and was using mostly 1.8ohm coils ...still, not sure that 7W is what I was getting now!!! All a bit befuddling as to which way they work.
I've got used to using the iSticks as low as they'll go depending on the coils.
If the Cloupor mini does operate at an accurate wattage, I may be OK with that too?
I don't think they're actually on sale yet though, so would need to see a few reviews of them!
Oh! Not good then! I did think that when I read that thread about them, someone said they worked accurately in the right mode ...but I know very little about these things and prefer to rely on the judgement of the three of you!
One thing I don't like on an iStick is LCCC: it doesn't taste as nice, so lives on an iPow set at 6.5 or 7W and tastes fine. Thinking about your nasty tasting Posset, I wonder if lemon ones don't like heat too high if it was giving out more than indicated?
Why do they state it's 2-20W though? is that all rubbish?

Bob, I think that is exactly what happened to me the other night with my IPV, When i got a burnt taste ! I thought i had gone through another tank of juice, but when i went to refill there was plenty left. So i backed off the watts by about 3 or 4 and it has been fine since.
Like bob says george, don`t worry about any duties from FT "swiss post" is just the carrier, and nowt to do with customs
