Ordered the starter pack of wire and wick from the site terry posted so it will give me a bit of a chance to see the differences and see whats good and whats not :)

Hopefully, my vape escape order will be here tomorrow and then maybe the wire and wick on saturday so i can have a crack at building a coil. Ba gua arrived today and looks amazing... its so tiny & light compared to my evic, cant wait to get the battery now so i can give it a whirl

It's surprising the difference between a quality mod and a cheaper one when you compare the two. The bagua will hit as good as it looks, I know you'll be pleased with it mate :)

They don't sell the Evod's they sell a clone of the Evod. They don't sell the Joytech C-twist but they sure make it look as if they do. They do sell the Kanger Protank coils, but you can get them cheaper in the USA. They should just be honest and say they are clones.

Normally if it's a genuine article on FT they will state it in the description. A lot of the items on there are clones, so it pays to do a bit of research before buying - check out the reviews from other people and take it from there. The Evods from FT do need a bit of tinkering with to get them to work right, I've had a 10 pack from them myself :)

Here in the UK, the Protank coils are a lot more expensive. You're lucky living in the USA, you seem to have a much better choice of vendors that sell at reasonable prices

Sounds like a pretty funky charger mate.

A multimeter is still a good idea though for coil building, you can use it to check the coil before mounting on your atty. That way if the resistance is out, it's easier to add a coil wrap or take one off - without having to take it off the atty each time

That was the reason for getting a multimeter that i couldnt remember yesterday :)

Yep, the one i got had 1m of ekowool 2mm, 1m of ekowool 3mm, then the same combinations in silica, 10m of .4mm ribbon wire, 10m of .2mm ribbon wire, 10m of no resistance nickel wire and some ss mesh for £10.

I've no idea if thats a good price but seemed enough stuff to get me started and a decent choice :)

there is a cracking peter jackson film on at 10 pm tonight film 4 + 1 the lovely bones, if you haven`t seen it. well worth a look.

You are right there terry, excellent film... a bit sad though.

Good to hear the starter pack is value for money. They had some other more expensive packs too, so may have to look at them again once i have mastered the art of coil wrappery ;)

Honestly cody, once you have done it, it is easy. And the ribbon wire just makes it so simple, as you can have all the loops of the coil touching, making one red hot mass. It is brilliant stuff.

Just a tip for the ekowool Cody. As well as torching the ends to stop fraying. It does expand a bit, so a 2mm section ends up being the same thickness as 3mm silica when you use it. So you need to go down a size when wrapping a coil. You'll see what I mean when you get it and have a play :)

Anyone ordered and reveived liquid from fasttech recently? Just wondered if its getting past HK checks at airport

I've got a small order still outstanding for juices. Ordered almost a month ago, still no sign of it yet.

I'm not too worried though, it's only for about $15 worth. I'll give it another couple of weeks, then get onto FT.

Well how about an update, not done one for a while. Ahem, here goes :

1). Ordered 3 RSST's from a co-op buy on here - they're now in the post.

2). Paid for 3 new Kayfun clone attys (1 silver, 1 red, 1 blue) from another co-op on here.

3). Got my rebate points with FT converted to a gift certificate of $11.03 - so used it to order the new Astro mod from them. With the gift certificate knocked off it's only costing me £8.31. It was a toss up between the Astro and the Nemesis, but the Astro was in stock so went for that :D
