I'm just looking at that GP PAPS v2.5 lux for £110 on vapist - looks like a quality bit of engineering. Of course, i would need to get that salt and pepper tank to go with it! The problem is i keep justifying all these buys because i was spending £250 - £300 per month on analogs. I guess there are loads of us out there that think the same way too, and to be fair, if it keeps us off the analogs then it's worth it :)

I know exactly what you mean mate, I can't resist anything shiny. I've still spent less than I would on ciggies though.

I've got the Paps Lux 2.5, you only get the serial number on the 18350 tube though, the other tube sizes just have the GP logo. The new Paps X will be out in a few days. So if you want something unique, it will be worth the wait. Vapist is the UK re-seller of the GP range, if you want to have a look at the main GP site it's here :

To be honest, I prefer the Kayfun lite on the GP. Looked at the S&P tank and the spheroid, but a lot of people were raving about the Kayfun on the Paps - so bought that instead.

Anyway, gonna disappear now, got work in the morning. See you later :D

Terry's got the FT bagua. I got mine from a co-op buy on here. Their both slightly different, but both are excellent mods.

To be honest my GP Paps is the best mod I've ever bought. It's tiny but it hits like a train. It did cost about 4 times as much as the bagua, but you can really tell the difference in build quality. If I had only ever bought clones, I'd be happy with them. But having a genuine mod, you can definitely tell the difference.

Nope, not got my hands on it yet ian. :(

Oooops i just checked and it says arrived in the uk on the 12th,

So maybe next week :thumb:

Sorry mate, thought you already had the bagua at home.

I've started using a lower nic juice in my kayfun now. Found using the kayfun on the Paps with 24mg, was a bit too much to chain vape at night. So, I've mixed up some 18mg juice now instead. It still tastes as strong as 24mg in any of my other devices, if that makes sense

Let us know if you push the button on anything mate.

Nothing interesting just yet! Just got one of the crystal nova tanks and a good few 1.8ohm spare heads from Jac vapour. I still use the vgos i got from there months back for when i am out and about and the tanks were a fiver so they should keep me going until Christmas and then I'll get myself something with 510 or ego threads for compatability. The vgos are 808 so a bit of a pain in the ....

I was looking at the nemesis on vaperev, but i think for an item like that i would rather stick with a uk vendor (just because of the potential for it getting lost in the post). I'm going to be patient on the mech mod for now, but vape escape have got a fine selection of provaris back in stock. I really cant decide which colour though - im off work in a couple of weeks so i think i will pop in the shop and get a look at them first.

How long does it take you to build say half a dozen coils? I'm going to give it a try at some point soon, but want to sort out some other stuff first. It is easy enough to do, and would you recommend getting a multimeter or would it be ok just using my evic to check resistances?

Sorry, too many questions there!

....and whilst i'm at the questions, i was looking at that ithaka atomiser too. Have you got the original or the fast tech model? I am very tempted by the fast tech one (I'd love the original, but at £150 or thereabouts it's a wee bit pricey!) as it looks like the fitment of the coils is real easy for someone like me with little experience, although i was reading some reviews saying that you have to wrap the coil with res/no res/res or something like that and they were claiming it's really hard to get correct??

I'd stick with vapist if you're after a UK vendor for a mod. Having said that, Perseas who makes the GP line is on here and is always posting answers to people's questions and issues. Some of the best customer service that I've ever seen to be honest. The guys at vape escape are great too, I've been in their shop about 5 or so times. They are really helpful and always answer any questions you might have. If you want to start coil building, I'd say start off with something simple like a nova head or ego or protank. Once you've got that sorted, move on to something more complicated. I can build a cotton coil for a nova in about 5 minutes. A multimeter is a must have to be honest, there's nothing worse than building a coil, putting it all together on your tank, testing it on an evic/vamo etc and finding out your at 5.0 ohms. You can check just the coil with a multimeter, saves a lot of hassle.

I've got the FT ithaka, wasn't gonna spend all that money on a tank, unless it's a Kayfun

The build is superb though on the clone, in fact a lot of the parts are interchangeable with the genuine model - that's how good it is. It is a very complicated build. When I first got it, took it all apart to clean it, there's about 20 different pieces and had to watch a review so I could remember how to put it all back together. FT do sell wicks with no res/res/no res coils, I bought some myself so I didn't have to join res to no res wire.

Cheers for the answers... always good to get the views of someone who has actually used the same stuff i am looking at :)

I noticed the ready made coils on fast tech for dirt cheap - may have to get a stock of them in if / when i get myself a mech mod and an ithaka. I've got a smok carto tank at the moment, which i havent used and i'm going to order one of those big boaby tanks off alba vapours once i have got all my bigger bottles of eliquid sorted. I didnt want to start using carto tanks whilst i am still at the stage of swapping flavours every refill.

Once I've tried the carto tanks out, I'll have a go at the direct dripping, then get into a bit of coil building and get the ithaka and possibly the kayfun too as so many people rave about them! Gives me something to look forward to vape-wise, which is another big plus point of vaping... cant say as i ever looked forward to my next pack of fags and as far as upgrading goes swapping brands is about as far as you can take it!

Hello Lovlies! At work for two more hours, but glad to be leaving soon and avoiding the masses - we have many out-of-state visitors for a football game today :/

I am really loving the new Protank and wishing that I'd bought more THEN and not ordered more FT RBAs later :/ Those RBAs are still in Hong Kong and I am in a bit of a vape funk... I'll go through my juice and vape something different tonight, because I've been getting so many new juices and tasting them that it's put my taste buds out of whack :/ I am thinking of an Extreme Ice mixed with a Cinnamon Red Hot and then a tobacco :/ Conundrum or Turkish for sure....

I got the silver protank $4.23 X9 Protank Atomizer with Plastic Tank (2.5ml) *SALE* - translucent / 2.5 and like it quite a bit - sold out now, wish I'd gotten more :/ The gold one $9.19 KWX10 Protank E-Cigarette Atomizer (2.8mL) - gold / 2.5ohm / fixed drip tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping had wonky threads so FT said to return it to their Miami location. I really regret the threads being wrong on the gold one since I wanted it for my TVS, but when FT offered to send another, I declined in case they are all 901/808 threads instead of the 510 advertised.

Need to get motivated tomorrow and get a bit of coil building and juice mixing done.

I've got 5 evods, 3 X9's, 2 novas and 1 ithaka all soaking overnight, so re-coiling them should keep me busy for a while.

yes mate,

I have got loads of building to do myself tomorrow. Well my ba-gua arrived today, and i have to say i am well impressed with it. Very well made and the engraving is beautiful.

I have put one of my X9`s on it and it hits real good, well chuffed with it.:toast:
