Heh! I had a youth dragging his heels at a crosswalk the other night, making a show of it for a girl waiting on the sidewalk and urging him to move out of the way :/ I had a line of cars behind me and was waiting for him to shuffle/gyrate across when I just decided to cross from the oncoming lane into my lane, thereby going AROUND him. He was a bit shocked when I did as I came within a few feet of his gyrating body :/ When I heard the siren I was a bit irritated, but I was waved off by the officer, and the youth was called over. I expected to get a ticket or a warning, but instead the idiot may have gotten a reckless endangerment warning himself =] Last year, we had a student cross right into moving traffic and while one car stopped, another went around and struck her, and a second and third car ran over her as well. Stupidity is rampant and accountability is a dream in youths these days :/

I hope you are feeling better! Drinking plenty of liquids? Vitamin C? Eating properly? This is not the time to be getting sick :/

Glad you are enjoying the Chi-You, but watch out for that self-firing! o_O

To be honest kids crossing in front of my bus happens every day. Especially on the routes that go into central Manchester. When I do go into the city centre, I tend to drive with one hand permanently on the horn button :(

Most people just seem to concentrate on their mobile phones or ipods more than crossing the road.

I'm looking after myself, thanks for asking. Might go for a long soak soon, see if that helps. Just wish I wasn't working tomorrow, might take the chi you with me though :)

Your chi chi looks very similar to my KTS+ (just a different top cap design). Do you still get the misfires when the button is locked Lisa ??

Locked? There is a screw at the base, you twist this little ring and then you can vape, you twist it in the other direction and no vape... What is locked? If it is locked in the off position then you can't fire at all o_O Sorry, confused :p

Ahhhhhhhhhh, okay, I have the KTS... it is here =]

Everyone was calling it the China GG or the Chi Chi, so that is what I did :p I thought it was a FT as well :/ I have to check my records but I can't find my head on the FT ones now

well i managed to sort my sentinel out today,

I tried what you suggested ian, but the thin strands of copper wire woudn`t mould around the 510 threads; they kept springing back out.
so i thought well, what about some kanthal wire ?

And hey presto, i have now got my V5 permenantly fixed to my setinel, with no wobbling or movement. Cheers ian, i would never have thought of that.:toast:

Glad you got it sorted mate, sometimes you've got to think outside the box to fix things. It would be a shame to throw such a good looking mod away.

$8.50 Trishula Round Mouth Atomizer (2.0mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have been looking at these as well,

Maybe to top my tvs, they are smart. It looks like the innards are the same as a vivi nova.

Yep it does look good mate. At first I thought it was a dripper til I checked the photos

The only slight concern for me would be the brass of the baseplate being in contact with the juice. You know how brass tarnishes, might affect the juice a bit, I don't know though.

Their all a copy of the Golden Greek Lisa you're right.

What I meant was does the mod still misfire when it's locked with the little twist ring fully out so the button can't be pressed in ;)

Ummmmmmmmm, nope! Nothing happens unless you turn the screw LOL

Got a fix for my Chi Chi =] Found a thread covering the issues.... going to follow these directions when I get home. Jeez, I hope I can SEE these pieces :p

Here's a brief description of what I did.

1. Take off the bottom cap.
2. Get a pair of needle nose pliers and just grab on the the piece inside that touches against the center post when you press the fire button.
3. Unscrew. Be careful not to lose the little spring that will pop out when you unscrew it.
4. LIGHTLY sand the end of the little screw on piece that touches the center post with a very fine grit sandpaper. All you want to do it remove the top silver layer or chrome coating so the brass is visible. I think I used a 2000 grit sandpaper.
5. Do the same for the center post under the spring that connected to the bottom cap.
6. Once you can see the brass on both parts, just reassemble. The tricky part is getting that little screw piece back on with the tiny spring in it while you screw in the fire button.

Did I mention sand lightly? If you sand that little screw on piece too much you'll basically ruin your mod because it won't touch the center post. Be careful, take your time, sand lightly and just pay attention to how it comes apart. You'll do fine. I'll try to get some pics up later on.

Good luck with that Lisa, hope it sorts out the problem for you

If you can post up a link when you get chance I'd appreciate it. Might do the same with my KTS+, it might help increase the conductivity too. Most mods tend to hit better when you sand the chrome plated parts back to brass.

It does look like the baseplate is brass doesn't it. It would probably be fine, maybe I'm just being overcautious. From what I can tell the X9's are chrome plated brass, so if it gets to the stage that the chrome on mine cracks I might have to bin them. My Dad used to have a brass goblet, to me it always made any drink taste a bit funny

yes i will give it a miss Ian,

You can`t even re-build the heads, according to the description; you have to buy replacements so thats a no no as well.

I sanded the contacts down on my kts as soon as i got it, as lisa states it is a bit fiddley, but well worth the effort.

Don't blame you mate, if they ever run out of spare heads you're goosed. I'm gonna sand the contacts down on the KTS, it's made a big difference to the k100. I've not really had a proper look at the set up inside the KTS yet, just been happily vaping away :)

Yeah mate they do give a good vape,

The way i did mine was to take off the bottom cap, then with some pliers unscrew the locking ring, which holds the firing pin to the tube. you have to unscrew it clockwise as it is reverse threading.

Take out the firing pin, sand the end down (as lisa says) then sand the firing post down, the one attatched to the end cap. Job done.:thumb:

Blimey - that's all a bit complicated for me.

Just bought a couple of 306's from Cloud 9 for dripping.

Excellent!

If you can bear to have a 10 ml bottle in your hand all day as an extra finger then these C9V 306 attys are more than good imho. :)

Well, I unscrewed the inner piece, but it was a bugger to get back together :/ Once I DID get it back together I just used an emery board/finger nail file and sanded it in place - I wish I'd tried that first :/ Next I lightly sanded the pin attached to the bottom cap all of the way around.

It hasn't miss-fired yet... I hope it stays that way :p

There is no reason for it not to lisa, good job done (pat on the back) for our lisa.:)
