I'm going to get myself something to have a try at this direct dripping malarkey next week. I'm probably gonna call in at vape escape one day so was thinking of getting one or two of these to try it out...

510 Low Resistance Atomiser [VE192] - £4.49 : Vape Escape

I need to get some XL cartos too so i can start using my smok carto tank, and I cant decide between getting another Vivi Nova STV or a kanger protank 2. I have the protank mini (1st version) and whilst i think it's ok, the draw is a little airy for my liking, and i cant help but feel as though i'm getting a bit of a metallic taste with it too (i guess i just prefer non-metal drip tips). I like the tighter draw on the vivi nova (i was looking at the innokin iclear 30, but im guessing the tank isnt pyrex as it doesnt mention the material, so really dont want anything that may crack.

If you guys really think it's worth getting a protank 2 then I'll give one a try (dont worry, i would use it loads anyway, i do like my mini, just prefer the vivi nova, so wouldnt be wasting my money).

I'm hoping i will like the carto tank when i start using it as i am planning to get a big boaby too pending what i think of the smok. I'm going to leave off getting anything from fast tech for a while to see A) how long it takes my liqua to get here and B) if the situation improves with everyone else's orders.

I need to get a spare battery or two for my evic, so i think i will go with the unprotected 3400mah panasonics on amazon (£19 for 2, free P+P). They are £15 each plus £2 p+p on TW

More bad news for my wallet- I was just checking out some stuff on uk ecig store and really fancy getting this mech and tank...

iSmoka Magoo-S Kit RBA Atomizer New
KTS PLUS

With a charger and an 18350 battery its still under £100 and reviews of them both seem good. Does anyone have them, or know if they are worth getting?

Save your wallet mate.
The magoo is the same as the FT ithaka and the KTS PLUS is the same as the FT KTS+

I've got the ithaka and the KTS+ as you know. $35 for the ithaka and I think $20 or $27 for the KTS+

There you go mate, I've saved you money as well ;)

Ahh yes... i missed the KTS+ in your signature.

I'm so impatient though, and every man and his dog seems to be complaining about fast tech!

First it was that there is a long wait anyway, then it's the problem with customs cracking down on everything, i know absolutely nothing about my order from 9 days ago, now China is getting hit by a hurricane and by the end of next week fast tech are pretty much closed for 6 days for national day.

I think it's a cover up and Godzilla is on the rampage over there.

You could be right Cody. I can just see Godzilla trying out all the mods

The ithaka is quite a complicated set up, you need the no-res legged coils for it and it does take a bit of getting used to with the adjustments. To be honest the KFL is easier to work with. If you're looking for a good rebuildable to start with, that's pretty easy to set up and is well priced (plus available in the uk), I'd recommend an aga t2. It also has a glass tank. You can use mesh, silica or cotton on it. Single or twin coils. Plus you can have a u-shaped wick (using silica or cotton), or a single vertical wick (using mesh or cotton).

I've had the same vertical cotton wick in mine for a couple of weeks now, still works great. That's my recommendation, for an itchy buying finger

I'm glad you mentioned that it is the same as the ithaka. I remember reading about the more complex coil wraps needed for that and i would rather get a bit of experience with something simpler first :)

Be careful with the KTS. I had that one exactly.. and the trigger can get VERY HOT to the point that it can burn you!

I'll be avoiding it now i know you can get it cheaper from fast tech, but cheers for the info.

I remember Lisa mentioning the button gets hot on one of her mods too but cant remember which? Is this a common thing with mech mods? or just the clones / cheaper ones maybe? I understand that if you are hitting it a lot then it's always likely to heat up and you are more reliant on your own common sense than you are with an e-mod.

Think you're doing right mate. Best to work your way up with coil builds. Like I said the aga t2 is a good starter for building or even the RSST. There's plenty of video reviews on you-tube to help you out also. I started off re-wicking novas, then evods, protanks, then onto the aga and everything else from there :)

I've had a bit of heat from the KTS, but because I swap my mods around a lot. I don't tend to get massive heat from any of the switches. If you're chain vaping on one device, it would cause heat build up though.

Lol its already in the post mate,

so the aga t2 tank ??? any clones out there ?

Not seen any clones mate. There's plenty of devices that are similar, but most have plastic tanks. To be honest though the genuine aga t2 is pretty cheap anyway - less than £20 from UK sites.

I'm waiting on 2 orders and 1 warranty.

Killing me. Especially my nemesis order

That nemesis does look sexy. I see FT have got the Atom on the site now. I'm gonna wait for the reviews first though, it's hard to tell if the top cap has the proper airflow channels or not.

They'll be cloning my GP Paps next
