I was just reading in a very old thread about how the resistance of atomisers can increase over time... I'd only looked it up because the carto im using in my tank at the moment started out at 1.9 and is now on 2.9. Seems to be quite a hefty increase in the week or so I've been using it - especially in comparison to vivi nova / kanger tanks which i'd only noticed something like a .2 increase in over a much longer period of time. (I have been hammering the carto tank since i stuck it on though.. barely used anything else and i've been turning up the volts far more than on previous tanks)

That is all the gunk building up on the coil cody, so resistance will indeed increase. when i used carto`s i only got a few days out of one before replacing it.

Basically that`s why i stopped using them.

Sometimes the coils can move a bit too if the tank gets shaken up a bit, that can increase the resistance.

Well I've made a discovery today, I don't like sub-ohm vaping. Did a superb micro-coil on a nova just to see what would happen, wicked it with cotton, nearly coughed my lungs up - it came out at 0.7 ohms

Looks like 1.0 ohm and above is my sweet spot.

The sub-ohmer, made massive vapour, but dulled the taste a lot. Won't be going lower than 1.0 in future.

Yeah the sub ohm coils are very very harsh at first till you have run a bit of juice through them. In my evods i usually build coils that are around 2-2.5 ohms, but in my drippers i like the sub ohm coils, purely for the fact they are real smoke machines.

And i like making some nice clouds while i am relaxing.

Bleedin hell,

I better keep my gob shut. 8-o

The tracking for the RSST's hasn't shown any movement in 3 days, so don't hold your breath mate for them coming soon ;)

Last time I ordered from vapage it took about 3 weeks, so it's not any quicker than FT really.

I've not had any vapemail for ages now :(

My drippers are running about 1-1.2 ohms which work great. I've found the sweet spot for me is 1.2 - 1.5, with a few 2.4's in the evods for on a VW device. I ran a full tank on the sub-ohmer in half an hour, had to keep taking short drags though, it was too intense.

There's always a drawback to anything positive :(

I'll see what happens with the next few cartos i try in the tank, but i wont be replacing cartos every few days if thats the case!

Taste is the main thing for me, followed by TH, amount of vapour comes last so sub ohm vaping wouldnt be for me either. I've seen a few vids, but a guy had uploaded one in the new members forum about a week ago with something called a dragon nano coil he had made? Anyway, when he hit the fire button this atomiser was producing 2 big long streams of vapour and then when he vaped it i'm suprised he didnt choke... looked like he had inhaled a bonfire!

I'm the same mate, flavour first, then th, then vapour. That dragon nano coil is supposed to be similar to a carto from what I've seen, with the wick wrapped around the coil, instead of inside it - good for videos, bad for your lungs

Ah i remember now,

I watched the p busardo video re the RSST, and he uses mesh for his wick.

My question is do you think it will work as well with ekowool or perhaps better ??? And where has that bloody paul gone hiding again ?

It will be fine mate, I never use mesh anymore - don't like the taste to be honest.

I use cotton or ekowool in my aga so the RSST will be fine. Must admit I do prefer cotton in that type of atty.

I reckon Paul's fallen out with us. I've been looking at lip-stick holders for my mods, there's quite a few people on here using them for mods, pretty cheap too

I had nowt but trouble with the ss mesh myself mate, so its good to know you can use alternatives. I was just watching one of todds reviews on the russian, is that the same as you have got coming (kayfun clone) ?

Where do they sell them holders Ian, i really need something. Why do you think he has fell out with us ? something we said.

Yeah, if you notice he doesn't try inhaling it. It's just to show off, personally I don't see the point

Naaa, nor me... but some people like producing loads of vapour over anything else. I cant see the attraction myself... maybe we are too old to appreciate this particular trend ;)

I've been asking my dad to make me a mod holder, looking at the price of some of the hand made wooden ones i dont want to shell out that much and it would be nice to have one made for me :)
