Yes - it feels as if everything is just not right any more. A kind of edgey feeling - but you can tell.
The ribbon i have got is .5 guage Ian,
If i do a 4/5 wrap it gives me around 1.4 ohm. And what a vape it gives, brilliant.
When you fire it up it creates a nice red hot even mass, if you have all the loops touching.
Very grateful for this info, Terry <3 I got ribbon wire in today with a MVP2 for the hubby =] He passed on the MVP2 and said he's sticking to his cigalikes... it's the most he's vaped since 2009, so I let him be... Every cigarette he avoids by puffing on a cigalike is one less coffin nail :/ He did snatch up & carry off the Ruyan 4 and the Marlboro Mint after taking a whiff of the juices, though. He was not a menthol user before, but he prefers a bit of flavoring to his tobacco juice now.

I think you will get on great with the ribbon. I like to add a bit of flavour to my tobacco juices as well, usually caramel, vanilla or hazelnut.
Anything like that really, as i find a lot of the tobacco`s a bit bland, (although ry 4 ) is quite nice.
I see that FastTech has polycarb carto tanks out now

I received a message from FastTech about a query I posted. I asked them to find out if they could get spare screws and nuts to fit the different RBA/RDAs they carried. They've stated that the only spare parts they have is the o-rings and do not expect to carry the screws and nuts :/ I really need to find someone with calipers to measure them or some machinist that can give me names or sizes of these things to replace what I've lost.

No black holes just yet! Just my ongoing back problems but it does seem to be improving
I went for my 2nd MRI scan in Chorley yesterday afternoon and it's a mobile one which unfortunately meant it was smaller than the one i went to in Lancaster and i couldnt fit in it! I'm 6ft4" and broad shoulders, etc... and i could do with losing a few pounds! so more messing about before my op still.Anyway, in other news my FT order arrived this morning. Coils look really decent (much better than i build!) so will be trying one of them on the aga at some point soon and then hopefully the KFL too. Tonight is reserved for playing with the trident though - looks really nice and seems a decent piece of engineering for a cheap clone so will be giving that a whirl once ive finished work and decided what to juice it up with.

And now we all wait in anticipation for your update cody. When you put one of the premades in mate, you want the coil as close as you can get it to the airhole, without it touching the body.
Then it is just a case of finding which size airhole suits you best, I like one size up from the smallest

I'll probably just use the trident with the dual coils it came with this evening, but might have a go with the aga later on, although if the trident is as good as you say i may just want to stick with that for now!
Just had a little try with the trident - loads of vapour but not as much taste as i thought... it doesnt actually look like its producing that much vapour when i take the top off and have a look though, could be just that i need to have a play with the airhole settings and i dont think the coils that came in it are the best either. From a bit of a play, i think one size up from the smallest suits me too... definitely not the biggest, its way too airy using that.
actually, just swapped the drip tip over and it seems loads better. I'm not keen on the big hefty one it comes with

My new 18500's and "fiesta" style drip tip arrived from cloud9.
18650's and ribbon kanthal came from vapegear.
I'm soaking a rocket, the ithaka and a few other tanks.
Re-coiled the KFL with a cotton micro. Did the Aga with a cotton mini coil. Also the RSST now has a ekowool and ribbon coil.
Finally, re-wicked a few evods - some with cotton, some with ekowool and silica. As well as a nova with cotton. I'm trying a 0.8 ohm coil in the nova, cos I'm using up some 18mg juice that's had extra flavour added, so it's probably more like 14-16mg now.
Plus, my first order from FT (the big one with the Wife's Xmas prezzie) has shipped by Sing Post. Busy day today

Don`t forget cody, if you are running it with duals you need to have the two airholes open; as you need to be getting air flowing over both coils.Cheers Terry
you are lucky that the stock coils work mate, mine wouldn`t even fire. What i also found was that dual coils give a very harsh vape, and you really need low nic to enjoy.

Thats a busy vape related day you have had yourself there ian! I saw your massive long list of goodies on the way from FT too... tut tut!!
Actually, i may have to splash out on a couple of things that i need this month - enjuice have a good cleaning kit for my provari with 99% isopropyl alchohol, which apparently is what you should use because anything lower can still leave grime. Plus i love the toffee apple & blackurrant & licorice from enjuice so may aswell get them all in one
That's a good point about the dual airholes - i didnt think of that. I've just tried one of the FT coils on the aga, worked ok but not great although it was actually 3ohms, not the 1.8 it was supposed to be!
And as for that drip tip, it just doesnt feel right. I like to take a draw similar to how i used to take a drag on an analog, but longer and shallower, whereas with that i feel like i have to get my gob around it and take a big deep inhale rather than a 'puff'.
Are you watching the football Terry? It's one of the most boring matches i have seen for some time :/
I found the same thing Terry with one of the dual coil drippers I got from FT. One of the coils shorted as soon as I tried to fire it - fired for about a second then died. I did a re-coil, before using it. The stock wicks seemed to be way too long too.
