Is the Nextorch Grease the conductive stuff lisa?

Ummmmmm, I've not got a clue... I've just smeared it on the threads this AM.

Says Not conductive http://www.manafont.com/product_reviews.php/nextorch-silicone-grease-for-flashlights-pr-5355
Says High temperature toleration Amazon.com: NexTORCH Silicone Grease for Flashlight Maintenance(22g): Electronics

Bathing - all of you blokes think you have us fooled, but I know you've got ladies in the house, so... I am quite sure that bathing is taking place =]

Claire - it is very good to have you here =] I get a bit scared when there are only one or two of us posting... I fear they may close the thread. Having another lady in the group means I won't be the only one

ePipe - fasttech has it in various colors as well as the authentic, labelled Smok version =] I used it this AM with a bit of Dekang Turkish juice and it was very pleasant, a nice relaxing morning.

Free spare parts - Odd this, my toppers have been held up for awhile now and they all say in stock :/ Am I getting spare parts? I made a ticket asking for them to carry spare parts and they said they only have spare parts for returns... I hope my topper order is held up for parts and not just because they are so busy :p

I hope the WWF start a campaign about this and take out some TV ads like the ones where the tigers are caught in traps showing the poor dry hippos wandering about and then cutting to a film of the guilty party luxuriating in his wasteful bath

And think of the spiders. Spiders like to live in baths, yet people regularly pour vast quantities of scalding water over them. This makes them either unhappy, ill, or dead - all bad options imho.

If people stopped using the bath for bathing then spiders could create small colonies in them - a sort of arachnid holiday camp - and they would be happy.

It's almost as bad as those fruit-flavoured e-liquids that are specifically made to poison children.

Just to put your mind at ease - it's not a real bath, can't afford one, it's a tin tub in the back garden filled with rain water with old newspapers burning underneath to heat it up a bit :p

Plus the cheap vodka was pilfered from the homeless guys that sleep on the park benches in Rochdale. I wait til their asleep and pinch their booze. What I don't drink, I use to clean out my new tanks

Ok I give in, no more baths for me. Wouldn't want to kill all the spiders, tigers, hippos and indirectly poison children, as well as causing the oceans to rise due to global warming and indirectly cause the beginning of the apocalypse. It's all my fault by having that one extra bath, mankind is on the brink of extinction and it's all my fault

As long as I get all my FT orders before the world ends, I'm not bothered :laugh:

I can tell it's going to be a great day for you gentlemen :/ Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday, I've been waiting for it since I came to work Tuesday :p

BTW, I removed the pipe handles from some 'real' pipes I bought from FT ages ago for the hubby. I tried to fit them over the Boge carto, but the hole is not large enough. I intend to drill out one of the thinner ones that I like to use instead of the wider mouthed pipe handle.

I suppose I should mention this in case someone knows... I got a shock or something from my epipe this AM. It was like when my face touches the airhole on my AGA T2 when I am vaping. *YEOW* Those times I see that my cheek's come into contact with the airhole and I turn it around a tad. But, I couldn't see the airhole on the pipe, and it was near the battery compartment anyway :/ Do you think I've gotten shocked from the grease I put on the threads or there's a short? I used it after that and had no issue...

Is that the yellow vodka? I'd watch out for that if I were you - smells funny and gives you dog breath.

You'll protect me won't you Lisa, when the unruly rabble start picking on me

Wouldn't have thought the grease would cause the problem, were your hands totally dry at the time ?? Any juice on them ?? May have just been a one-off, from a small battery surge or something like that. I know some tubes basically complete the negative part of the battery circuit, so it is possible to get a small shock, but not very likely. Hope it doesn't happen again though.

That's why I usually drink it first mate, if it doesn't poison me I know it's safe for cleaning tanks. Wouldn't want to damage a new tank

The homeless guys drink it first too. That's why you get the "yellow" vodka from their bottles when they're asleep. It's pre-owned.

My hands were definitely wet... I was mixing and wiping everything down with alcohol LOL

Protect you? From this rabble? Pot calling kettle? Hehe! Actually this is a magnificent thread =] Never any rabble rousing here, that's why I cross the ECF pond and spend time chatting with the inhabitants of your little isle =]

We're always glad to have you fly over here in cyberspace Lisa, bringing a touch of sanity to the thread ;)

I'm glad you have finally seen sense ;) now, lets have no more talk of these baths you love so dearly!

In vape related news i took out the dual coils that the trident came with and put in a single coil (one of the FT pre-made ones). It was registering 2.8ohms so i undid a wrap from each end which brought it down to 2.0 as Terry suggested (cheers Terry!) and it vapes lovely now.

I totally agree with what Terry said before i got it as well - extremely easy to use and love the slotted posts, so much easier to slip your wire into the slots and then tighten the nuts down over them. I think half the problem i was having with the aga was trying to get the wire trapped under the screw or between those awkward little nuts. The trident is ideal for me and should get me up and running.

Unfortunately, i think FT have sent me a pack of 50 2.8ohm coils rather than the 1.8 i ordered although its no big deal. Looking at them, and seeing how easy it is to stick one on the trident i'm gonna have another go at making my own coils soon. I think the coils i built before were actually ok(ish) - it was just that with all the faffing about trying to get it lined up and the legs tied down properly on the aga and the KFL my coils were getting all pulled out of shape but with practice on the trident i have renewed confidence to try again :)

I've begun to use different gauge wire as well, Cody, 28 & 32... I really adore the thicker gauge wire because it holds it's shape magnificently =] Pull the wick out and replacing is quite a bit easier when it's not fried/gunked to a thin wire =] I've not done a 'dry burn' on my coil yet to clean it off. Firing up the coil and staring it just makes me a bit nervous LOL I DO check to make sure that it's heating in the right area, but I do it quickly... :p

I'll have to give it a try with some thicker wire, sounds like its what i need :)

I've got all sorts from my starter pack too... all kinds of different thickness of wires and a great selection of wick too. The starter pack i got was really good value looking at the prices of wire and wick on some websites - just a shame im so useless with it at the moment!

Eh, not so useless =] 1st part of coiling is WANTING to do it =] I do have a coiling setup where I can just clip one apart from the rest to use, but when I am watching my Saturday vape shows, just after work, I do enjoy making single coils - now that I have my magnification glasses =] It is very relaxing to make coils and giggle over some shenanigans on the shows :p

Greetings you smelly bunch of bathless vapers :w00t:

Welcome to the mad house Claire

Didn't have a bath last night Terry, my internet went down :p

Anyway, in other news. Checked my chimney last night, no problem at all - no signs of rusting or colour change anywhere, so I think it must be down to the flooding that I mentioned before. My KFL should be fine for years, it is the GENUINE KFL after all
The brown screws on the Rocket are because they're just a cheap generic screw, so I changed them out for a couple of spare stainless screws that I had lying around, so that's fixed that problem  I think the main reason they changed colour is cos I left the Rocket parts soaking in water for too long - when I'm vaping it, the liquid shouldn't really come in to contact with the coil screws.

Terry, I think I know why it was taking so long for your Kayfun to get shipped from FT - from the FT forum:
