The Russian started off as a clone of the kayfun Lite, but they made it better than the kayfun Lite by adding airflow control. It ended up getting better reviews than the KFL, so it's only a little bit cheaper than the KFL. You can't really call it a clone though, cos it looks different to the Kayfun. I've heard that there were 2 guys that originally started producing Kayfuns, but they ended up falling out. One of them carried on making the Kayfuns the other one started making the Russians

Got some vape-mail today. The Fogger from Burnie arrived today

speaking of the fogger, mine isn`t performing to it`s true potential. Last time i re-coiled it i did a 2 mm micro, and when i last changed the wick i displaced a couple of wraps.
So tonight i am going to put a nice new 1.5 mm micro in her to get her up and running properly.
EDIT: Done. 9 wraps of 30 awg wire 1.5 mm micro coil, 1.2 ohms (perfect) hitting like a train now. I had almost forgot how bloody awkward the fogger is to re-coil, took me a good 30 minutes of fiddling and faffing but well worth it.

The Kayfun clone from Desire Ecig arrived, with a free lucky coin
Not sure how good it will perform cos it's got a very short chimney section and the base looks similar to the Rocket - hopefully it will surprise me though.Finally the Russians from Viper vape arrived too. The jury is out on these too at the moment. Their different from the ones I've seen on other sites, but I'll wait and see - hopefully I'll be surprised again.

Did put in an order for some DIY stuff though - nicotine and a few flavours. Decided to try LT Ecigs this time instead of Totally Wicked. Even though TW had a sale on LT were still cheaper. I'm gonna try some of the Inawera flavourings from LT.

I am in the process of trying the LT juices mate, but only tobacco ones. So far i have tried kent and winston which are both ok but i woudn`t get them again. I have got two more to try out (need to set up the trident).
I believe the moors is supposed to be very good, so when i have finished these i am going to try that.
I've just ordered nic solution, sweetener, smooth masking agent, blackcurrant, pineapple and strawberry flavour concentrates. I've run out of nic solution and blackurrant and strawberry. I normally get them from TW, but LT are a lot cheaper.
The other thing with TW flavourings is I normally have to use 20% in my DIY, so it doesn't last very long. The LT stuff should last me twice as long - you only need about 10% in a mix.

Oh i forgot to mention ian - I am sure you can use cotton on the s/s rope, i read it somewhere or saw a video. I think it is just a case of wrapping some around the top of the rope instead of using a sleeve.

At the moment, I'm really happy with the eko sleeve. It's still vaping like a champ, great flavour
I might try the cotton sleeve in another RSST though, see if I can spot any difference. I bet the cotton will need swapping pretty often though, cos of the extra heat from the rope. Good tip though mate

Well here's todays update. Cleaned a few tanks out today, but gave the Kayfun clone and a Russian a damn good clean out - cos I wanted to set them up.
So first impressions, I was a bit dubious about both of them to be honest. The Russians came with all the extra bits (wick, clear tank, tools and all the spare seals) and the Kayfun has more logos than the original - it's more of a Kayfun Lite clone. But the Russians came in a different box from the ones I've seen elsewhere, plus the "Russian 91%" logos look different too. The KFL clone has the cheaper white silicone seals, but when it's all together you can't even see the joints. Both seem to have small coil screws, so their a bit fiddly to set up (like the Rocket). Also there was tons of crap inside the mouthpiece of the Russian, so I used a different tip.
Anyway, after cleaning, built a couple of nano coils and put some cotton in them - 1.8 ohms on the Russian and 1.4 ohms on the Kayfun. Filled up the Russian with Banilla and the Kayfun with Strawberry/choco/caramel.
Tried the Russian first, no air at all - opened the airflow fully - superb, great flavour and vapour.
Next the Kayfun - just as good as my FT Kayfun - again great flavour and vapour.
So despite the fact that I was a bit worried about them, they both work just as good as any other atty I've got
As long as they don't leak or give dry hits, I'll be very happy indeed.

So you have had a good day then mate ? I`ve done nowt today, a real lazy one. My intentions were to pet a new micro coil in my trident, but i just couldn`t be arsed.
