Easier than the fogger mate for sure, but can still be a bit fiddly. It took me over an hour to do two, that includes making the coils, test firing, wicking and filling.

it`s just like anything ron, with practice it does become easier, but they can be a pain at first. Yeah i have seen the replacement circuit boards for the vamo`s, cheap as chips.

Hi, sorry to .... in here, but I'm new to this and am having trouble getting the coils to work properly, 1st 2 tries total failures, 3rd wasn't too bad, yesterday, another failure. I'm using a 2mm bolt to make the coils, the only one that worked was with ekowool, all the failures are with 2mm 7x19 steel rope with a small piece of mesh #300 wrapped around the top, but when I put it on the atty (AGA-T²) instead of it heating up from the middle it ends up burning the positive end and breaking the wire. What am I doing wrong ??

Great pick on trouble time.:D

Damn! I always miss the good bits :(

I hope you are all well :)

I'm still waiting for my berry mix to arrive from FT. Because they got it wrong first time around, it's probably about 6 or 7 weeks since i first ordered it now, although i do have 60ml of liqua vanilla as a freebie out of it, which i havent tried yet. I'm going to allocate myself a day over Easter to do nothing but build coils and get them mounted on the KFL and the AGA until i get them perfect. I'll even go and get a blow torch to make sure i'm doing it all correctly this time.

The Sofia is going great - the only slight downside to it is the size of the slimtank pro it goes in (about 1ml capacity). Saying that, it is better capacity than a dripper, which essentially is what the sofia is. I just need to order myself the normal size carto tank (i have 3 but all XL) and get the slightly larger o-ring so i can use the sophia with the extended body in that instead.

I'm really loving my vaping at the moment, soooo many nice juices out there - I'll be gutted if we get these taken away from us through the legislation next year or the year after.

One piece of very good news (at least for me!) - I finally found myself some GVC after months and months of waiting. 50ml should be here by the end of the week WHOOP WHOOP CANNOT WAIT!! :D

(Cheers to Ian as i think he was the one that told me about the site i got it from ages ago) :toast:

Is your coil popping before you put the wick in place Bob, or is it once you've got the full wick and coil assembled and mounted ??

If it's popping with just the coil in place, maybe the leg on the positive side is too long, or you coil is the wrong distance away from the posts.

Here's what I do with my aga (I've got it running dual coils with SS rope at the moment) :

Build your micro coil - I normally aim for between 1.1 - 1.7 ohms using 30 gauge kanthal. After torching it, put it back on a drillbit (it will go back on a 2mm drillbit easier than a 2mm bolt). Pop the end of the drillbit into the wick hole and mount the coil. Try to use the wick hole that gives your coil legs about a 5mm length. Using the drillbit this way makes sure that your coil is vertical and lined up properly with the wick hole. Cut your length of SS rope, you can use 2mm rope with a 2mm micro coil but I find 1.5mm rope is easier. Take some cotton wool and brush the end of the rope over it to create a cover (instead of using mesh), you don't need a lot of cotton, just use enough so that you can still just see the rope through it. Wet the cotton and make sure it's a tight fit against the rope and slowly twist it down through the coil and into the wick hole. Even with a 2mm micro and 2mm rope you can still just about get the cotton topped wick through, it's a bit fiddly, that's why I suggested the 1.5 mm rope. Prime the cotton with juice, fill tank and vape. This is the method I always use for rope, works like a dream :D

You'll get it sussed out mate, you'll soon be making some serious clouds with the aga :D

If they do legislate the juices, looks like Ian's DIY juice bar will have to step up a gear

Glad to hear the Sophia is working so well for you. With the extension it should be even better. Pretty sure you'll like the GVC, it is a very strong flavour and gets stronger still over time - like a good wine. Just make sure you vape it with a silica wick. I've tried it on cotton, silica, ekowool, rope and in the Vmod atty - it only tastes right on a silica wick. Was it the pink mule website that you ordered it from Cody ??

Ian i couldn`t get to the post office today, had to wait in for my bike :D. so the missus is going to post the kraken tomorrow mate. Oh btw, i did an hpi check on the bike and it is all clear.

So your new mega toy has landed then:

"keep your motor running, head on down the highway ..... born to be wild" - sorry had to start singing

But I can't believe that getting your new bike is more important than posting the Kraken :laugh:

Have you been out on it today mate ?? Glad that you got it HPI checked Terry, for the price it's definitely worth the piece of mind. I've heard too many horror stories, so it's best to be safe than sorry. Bet you're like a kid at Christmas, you been out polishing it yet

Yep when it arrived i just went for a 10 minute ride Ian, just to make sure it was running ok and she is fantastic. had to turn her over a few time for it to start, but i don`t know how long it has been stood for.

The dealer who i bought it off, told me he had bought it off an insurance company, I think the previous owner had dropped it (knob) so the dealer put a new tank, and front mudguard on it. Just cosmetic stuff. Oh and he put a brand new front tyre on before he sent it.

So i will be polishing it tomorrow mate, and there is a couple of rust spots on the pipes. but they will come off easy enough.

Yep I got one lot from them as well. The good thing with DHL, if you're not at home to sign for it, you can have it re-delivered to a pick up point. I had mine forwarded to the Staples store in Oldham and picked it up in my meal break. Did you go for the 18mg juice Cody ?? I got 18mg and 24mg, the 24mg was a fair bit darker at first than the 18mg.

I love the idea of motorbikes and the speed, but they would scare the hell out of me to ride and i wouldnt trust myself to put my foot down (or twist the grip or whatever it is you do on a bike!)

I got 18mg, 24 is too high for me. It has to be 18 or 20 for me. 16 and i dont get enough TH and 24 is too harsh. DHL just texted me to say if i want to pick it up i can get it from whsmith in barrow on furness tomorrow - barrow is a 100 mile round trip so i think i'll pass on that!

It probably took a while for the fuel to go through the system if it's been stood a while. Well the dealer's looking after you mate putting a new tyre on and the other parts too - you got a great deal there. Was it just one previous owner ??

When are you gonna take it out for a decent ride Terry ??

The 18mg still gives a great TH. It's surprising how much taste the juice has on silica. The bit of juice I've got left now is quite a dark brown colour - started off amber. But still tastes as good as the day I got it. I couldn't have it as an ADV though, I prefer to use it sparingly, so it's more of a treat then :D

There's some nice driving routes round Clitheroe too. I used to go through there then on to Blackpool along the A-roads, some nice twists and turns, plus the River Ribble close by. The road from Rochdale to Hebden Bridge is a cracker too, not all that long, but you can stop off and admire the views. Just don't drop down in to Oldham by accident, that would be a let down

If i am brutally honest Ian, when i go out for a ride I just ride LOL. don`t know where i am heading half the time, but it is nearly always over the moors. Just love the fresh air, wind in my face and admire the scenery. I have lost count how many times i have got lost, just by enjoying the ride.

Before I got too busy with work and fuel was a lot cheaper, me and the Wife used to do the same. We'd pick a number at random for how long to drive and pick a random direction and just drive. Come to a cross-roads, toss a coin for left or right and carry on, see where we ended up. At the end I'd get out the Sat Nav to get us home. To be honest, these days I do that much driving, I don't enjoy it like I used to.

Maybe when I win the lottery I'll start enjoying driving again

I'd better pop off now anyway. Got a 12 hour shift for the next 2 days, not looking forward to them at all.

See you later.
