I've been building off atty, using about 38mm of steel rope and 10x30 mm of mesh, oxidising both before I start, I then wrap the mesh around the rope as tight as I can, then thread it through the coil, and attach to the atty, there's probably about 4mm between the top of the mesh and the +pole, tried it with both .2 and .25 kanthal (which I think is 30 and 32 awg). It pops before I put any juice on it, trying to see if it works.

PS I'm ex transport myself only on the iron road.:)

Is your coil popping before you put the wick in place Bob, or is it once you've got the full wick and coil assembled and mounted ??

Nope - Vapourart. I paid the extra for DHL delivery because i didnt want to wait a potential 60 days for the bulgarian postal services to get my juice here!

I recently bought some of their Atmos Labs juice and paid the extra €15 shipping, good stuff, will have to give GVC a try now.

If you're talking about VapourArt, then comparing them with some of the prices I've seen over there for juice, then yes they are cheap, but adding on the shipping actually makes them dearer than what i can buy here in the UK, and so far I have only found 2 suppliers over here that I like, and Atmos Labs are a good manufacturer, based in Greece.

I have to say that I have not ordered from them. I do get the impression that prices are low, but so is quality and speed of delivery. I just listen when others talk about experiences.

I want quality and I want it now! :)

If the set up worked for a while on ekowool but kept popping with mesh, I'd say that you're getting a concentrated hot spot with using mesh and it's popping the coil. To be honest mesh is about the only wicking material I didn't have any success with. Tried numerous times and when it did work, I wasn't happy with the flavour. Give the cotton topped rope a try Bob, it may sort out the problems. Plus if you attach the coil before inserting the wick (using the method I suggested earlier) you'll get a quicker indication of any possible problems without having the hassle of having the wick and coil fully installed. What sort of resistance are you getting with the coils that worked ??

If you could post up a picture too that may help identify the problem :D

Looks like us transport workers are becoming the majority shareholders on this thread now

Think I may join you in giving the mesh a miss as well, I'll try your method next time I have a go at it, which will probably be next Sunday, too much to do during the week even though I'm retired  If I remember right I got about 1.2 on one and 1.8 on another, and talking of this thread, I wish HMRC would get their fingers out an release my 3 parcels so that the postie can deliver them.

Arrrrr, Must Stay AWAY from the Classies. I had decided NOT to spend more money, but did as always, and I looked at the new posts in the classies. Dang, there was this sale on a crap load of tanks and cartos, really cheap, so cheap, that I felt bad and offered him 30% MORE than he was asking for the lot, just wanting to be fair for what he was selling, normally I Jew people down as they are asking too much. Well he took my offer, so that is that much longer until I break even. MUST NOT LOOK AT THE CLASSIES.:facepalm::facepalm:

Not offering 30% more than its worth, just more than he was asking. New it would have been well over triple what I offered, just trying to be fair, and I will make good use of it as all I am using now are carto tanks, I'm addicted to them. Not interested in my rebuildables at the moment, cartos (IMHO) are giving me a much better vape, and no fuss. Vape drops off, burnt taste, not wicking, whatever, just pop in another carto, good to go, quick and easy. Also cost is not bad as I have been stalking the classies the past month and gotten some good deals on cartos and tanks. Most I have had to Jew down on the price, this is the first I have offered more, as I thought he was just selling the lot too cheap. The last lot I just purchased I Jewed them Down 40% from the asking price. I really didn't need it, but it was just too good of a deal to pass up, even though I paid more than the listed price.

I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived yesterday - not bad when it's coming that far. some UK based shops arent that quick.

You will probably have to be quick with the GVC - i waited a long time before i could find anywhere that had it in stock. It will be just my luck to love it and not be able to get any more for months, but i cant really justify getting more than 50ml of a juice i have never tried before. I'll just have to do what Ian does and use it sparingly if it's as nice as i am expecting it to be.

The only thing to be careful of Bob, is make sure you don't use too much cotton and deform the coil when your popping it in place. It can be a little fiddly, but as long as the cotton goes completely through the coil, you shouldn't get any dry hits or shorts. You will need to give the tank a bit of a tilt too, especially for chain vaping. The good thing with this method, once you crack it, it's easy to maintain - pull out the wick, dry burn the coil and rope, new cotton on top and re-insert.

You should move over here Burnie, that would solve your "classy addiction"

With most of the sellers only posting stateside, it would save you a shed load of money. I don't really look in the classies much anymore because of this, shame really.

you always were fair burnie respect mate

I'll second that :D

As long as you use it just as a treat it will last a while Cody. I got 100ml in total and I've still got a bit left. Think I'll have to try and DIY some next.

Terry the Kraken has landed with the fluffy nuts (sounds like a secret code )

Cheers mate, you're a star. I've got tomorrow off, so I'll have a play then. I'm gonna be dripping my new samples tomorrow along with the fluffy nuts, so stay tuned for a review. I'm hoping my taste buds should be back to normal tomorrow, been bunged up and feeling yuck for the last few days, but today has been a lot better. I'm looking forward to the fluffy nuts, it was a nice surprise :D
