Hey Pictor, interesting you also taste spice in the SD&C. I'm not going mad after all, yay! I don't think it's cinnamon or nutmeg, but could be cloves, yea. It is nice though. I just this second bought the 65VG/35PG one in 6mg. £6.50 inc postage for 10ml. Shame there's no discount under a £10 spend.

What kind of yukky taste did u get from PG, in other words, anything like the metallic/bitter taste I get?

No, you aren't going mad It's a definite 'dry' spice taste with the dried fruit and pudding beginning to get more noticeable.
I get spice together with sliced dried apple in the Apple Pie & Irish Cream custard too.

With a PG mix, I got a taste like sour milk sometimes, but I did used to get terrible sinus problems before I stopped smoking, and the PG seemed to make it worse. Sinus problems 95% better than they've been for years now.
I did get a bitter sort of taste too. All went with just VG.

...there's some nice dry spice in the Apple Pie & Irish Cream custard one too I think when they're new, the stronger flavours such as spices will come through first, so that's why I can taste those so easily with the new ones.

I have no Jamaican ginger now I'm thinking of ordering another 10ml bottle and wait until they get back to me.

I accidentally mixed Hawaiian in with my Apple Pie when topping it up and it tastes really nice! Would be around half of each.

I think I know what I need to do now to help figure out my taste issue. I have 4 options really. I need to vape some neat unflavoured PG 0% nic, see if that leaves a bitter taste and how much it dries my mouth, then some neat unflavoured VG 0% nic and see if that leaves a bitter taste and how much it dries my mouth, and then the same again each with 6mg nic and see if either or both leave a bitter taste. I think that's about my only way of properly finding out what's going on, a process of elimination. If none of those 4 options gives me that taste, then it must be something in flavourings that's doing it, like, maybe alcohol?

Hmm, now then, I've never done any basic mixing at all. I can buy 200ml of VG from Boots for the princely sum of £1.29, so that bit's easy. And I can use a calculator called ejuice me up. I guess I need to buy a bottle of nicotine, a bottle of PG and some empty bottles. Any idea of the best place to get those?

I tried putting the Confusion in another clean Evod last night and this morning I can actually taste it rather than a dirty/oily taste!

It tastes like thick fresh clotted cream with a hint of caramel!
I expect it'll 'blossom' more given a bit of time.

It's almost as though you have the cream at the back of your mouth! Quite remarkable and again, not an in your face flavour.

Now that they're coming to life, I really do think it's likely they don't do anything that I would find unpalatable ....and I placed that order last night so that I'll get my Jamaican ginger and all the others in VG! ...and added a few more!

How is the orange cc today, any improvement on hot grilled oily fish?

Must say, I'm vaping more of my hawaiian pud sample at the moment and enjoying it, and though unfortunately I cannot detect or smell any pineapple, coconut or sponge, it tastes pretty nice. To me, it's just custard, but in many ways, nicer than my steamgunk captain custard.

My palate is strange, there's so many juices that have biscuit, sponge and fruits that I don't seem to pick up. Like, chefs vapour V-I-Counts, I can smell the delicious biscuit but only actually taste choc and mint. Alchemists Cupboard Rhubarb Crumble and Custard, several months steeped, I can only taste the Rhubarb, nothing else. I quit smoking in december, is that still too short a time for my tastebuds to have adjusted properly? But then, how come I can taste real food properly? Is it because food has stronger flavour than e juice flavours?

Anyhoo regardless, They are out of stock on the lews brew so i got another 30 ml of RY ....., 30 ml of my fave SD&C, and 10 ml of the jamaican. I will try the confusion in my next order, as i have got loads of new juices to try ATM.

Right, I finished the hawaiian pud, and the last of my SD&C earlier, so i decided to give the two tanks a good clean, dry burn and new wick. I then filled up with 1.trimto 2. treacle sponge and custard, both from trip hammer.

My conclusion is---the trimto is just like really watered down vimto, and i mean really watered down, basically flavourless. The TS&C, hmm all i can taste is bloody treacle, I am getting NONE of the other two ingredients.

Now in fairness and from experience, sometimes a juice will start to shine when the wick gets broken in, usually after a couple of mil, but up to now i am not at all impressed, in fact i would call them absolute crap.

Trisha, how long have you had the new juices for before trying them ?? I'd recommend at least a week before trying a new bottle, if you can resist for longer - better still. I have a minor reaction to high PG juices - my sinuses get a bit irritated, but nothing major. Plus I tend to get a tiny bit of blood spotting up the nose (gross I know )

I've had nic solution from a few different places, theirs is the cheapest around, but still excellent quality. They also have a great range in flavour concentrates too, the Inawera range are highly concentrated - I've started using these flavourings a lot more recently, because a little goes a long way.

Hey dan trouble will help you regarding the pg vg thing as he makes his own yummy juices. As for your tastebuds, mine are pretty much the same mate shag*ed That is why, when i find a liquid i really enjoy it goes on my favourite list, and i will keep going back to it.

So far i have only got a few, and they are---Troubles berry blast/vapology`s cappucinno/cv`s SD&C, RY ....., lews brew, Hawaiian pud. So there is six of my staple juices there, and probably a couple i have forgot about, the only one i have liked from T/H up to now is the fizzy trifle, but as i have posted in the past it`s nothing to shout from the rooftops about (just ok) IMHO.

Would have thought your tastebuds would be back to normal by now. But to be honest, I think some people never seem to fully recover after smoking. There are some juices that I just can't really taste much, that other people rave about. I've been vaping well over a year now. But I do have to have really strong juices that perhaps other people might find too overpowering.
