I used to hate late turns at the end of the week, not only trouble on the train but trouble trying to get on the bus to go home at 01:00 in the morning

I've been lucky Bob, did the two lates, really quiet, everyone must have been watching the footie  Only problem was I finished last night at gone midnight, then had to be back in work at 9am this morning - I hate these short rest breaks. Getting a minimum of 8.5 hours between shifts is a joke - probably got about 5 hours sleep max last night :(

I have tried 3 new yarns this week ian

1) Stylecraft cotton thread it looks like wool but is to thin double it over and fit it is not to bad tastes like cotton balls but easier to wick so all is good with this one

2) rico this is like tubigrib the medical bandage accident and emergency fit on sprained ankles and fingers this one is only 4mm wide though so wouldn't even go on a doll but is easy to use but has a faint barbecue smoke taste not burnt just smoked might just try boiling this one as is easy to use nice and soft

3) cotton ribbon 6mm wide this one is very stiff and takes forever to absorb enough juice to make it usable might have something on it like a starch or something tasted blooming awful not recommended might benefit from a boil though so I might retry after a boil

I've heard the medical type cottons are supposed to be ok once you've got rid of any treatments. But to be honest, I've never boiled or treated any wicking material so far - if I can't use it "out of the box" I'm not interested - I'm too lazy

I finally landed a dessert flavour from zamplebox (Peoples vape: Kremlin) - I'ts described as Pistachio ice cream with cinnamon swirls, whipped cream and rich cookie crumbles. Certainly sounds & smells nice and the cosmonaut i got last month from peoples vape was nice too. 3 of the other bottles were cream based too - cranberry, peach & pear/coconut (the pear, coconut & cream is snake oil, but from a US vendor, so not sure if its the same as the UK one?)

I was tempted to buy another provari and a kick2, but I cant really see the point in spending another £200+ as my current stuff is keeping me happy. Atty-wise, I've been able to get decent coils on the KFL following your good example ;) and with the sophia, plus my carto tanks which i use all the time, a couple of protank 3s, the nautilus and the trident i cant justify getting any more of them either!

Are you sure its not used bandage ron? the smoky taste might be old scabs :p

Seriously though, might be nice with a bit of haddock flavour or perhaps sausage!

Speaking of daft flavours, i found a site that is selling Roast beef, bacon & chicken flavour eliquid to name but a few! Interestingly, they are also selling provari clones, which i have never seen before. I'm not sure what it is, but something puts me off ordering anything from them though - the website is nice enough... not sure what it is, see what you all think;

Vapemate - Electronic Cigarettes, Eliquid, Starter Kits, eGo Vape Kits & E Cigarette Accessories - UK Supplier

The Kremlin sounds interesting Cody, nice and complex, just the way a vape should be :D

Glad to hear the Kayfun is getting some love now  If you're ever having problems with the coil, just give us a yell Cody - Terry can sort it out for you :p:laugh:

If you're at the point where you fancy something new mod wise - I'd recommend the FT Nemesis clones, once you get some magnets in the switch, their superb mate.

Cheers Ian, looking forward to trying that. Do you just twist the rayon like you do with cotton ?

Rayon is totally different Terry. With cotton less is more, cos it swells up. The Rayon has to be literally packed into the coil, it doesn't expand with juice. It can actually sag when it gets wet. But the flavour, oh my God, the flavour. Remember the first time you did a decent cotton wick and thought this is the best ever - well that's what that first Rayon wick is like :D It's a really, really saturated vape - I've got some of my "Terry's Jungle Juice" in a Russian and the flavour is an explosion. It almost tastes a bit too sweet now. I'll run through the build with you at some point though mate :)

They probably did 0.6mg when I got mine Bob, but I was using 1.2mg at the time.

Hope you like the ones you ordered! Even though it's stronger than I'm using, I'll dig out my Chocolate Custard and see if I still like it!

I just ordered four Steamgunk from Chefs Vapours tonight in VG: Tennessee Tobacco, After Dark Mints, Twilight and Iced Mint Menthol! I had a couple of them from the original site, but got so that I was reluctant to try anything with a definite PG content ...the Tennessee and Twilight do taste rather nice though just from tasting a tiny drop of them!

I love the Twilight, cracking flavour that one :D

Think I may have found a way to use at least two of the Nicoticket flavours: I found that they have just a few flavours available in zero nicotine with max VG! So, I ordered the Grandmas' Cinnamon Danish and Crème Brulee from them.
I just ordered the same two in 18mg nicotine from Spiritus, and that way I'll be able to dilute it 1/3 with 2/3 of the zero and get it down to roughly my usual 0.6mg! Here's hoping I like them both -then I can order some more of the zero from Nicoticket :)

Both Tristan from Spiritus and Clark from Nicoticket have been really helpful. This is the reply I got today from Clark:
Heya Trisha!~ You got the right idea using 18mg to mix with NZ in MAXVG... right now, we only do CLS, CB, and GCD in MAXVG... but... you can mix any of those three with virtually any liquid (especially the CLS) to get various combinations of yummy. All three mix well with our entire line!

Give my best to Tristan from Spiritus Vapes - he's a good egg!
Best regards,
~Clark

Clark is great with Customer Service, I reckon he must spend more time answering questions and chatting to customers, than he does mixing. Or he never sleeps

Well, I just tried SG Lemon Meringue Pie and I can't say I'm too fussed by it! Hope the others are better! :)

Thanks! Always nice to find others if they're good ones! :)

I like the ABC best of the two, but that's just my opinion :) Wait to see what the others say.

Oh I hope CV haven't changed the mix with Lemon Meringue Pie, that's one of the juices I've repeat ordered from Steamgunk. I really enjoy that one.

grants vanilla custard MMMMMMMMMMMMM

It's lovely Ron :D

I have just been looking on grants site, and there is a notice which states there will be another sale before the end of june. I will be watching very carefully. :D

As soon as it appears buy some Terry, he'll be sold out within a couple of hours ;)

Well, I've not done an update for a while, so here goes :

2 FT orders landed today.

Order 1 - Another brass Nemmy, so I can finish my mix and match Nemmies. Battery magnets and a stainless "vapelyfe" tip.
Order 2 - The D-Eagle RBA and the Aqua RBA, both for running dual coils.

Probably be sunday before I can have a play with them though.

What so is it a case of wrapping the coil around the rayon, as you do with eko wool Ian ?

Nah mate, use a 2mm microcoil and pull the Rayon through, the same way you would do with cotton. But as cotton swells up, the Rayon actually shrinks a little. With cotton there should be hardly any resistance in the coil. With Rayon you want it that thick, that it's almost moving the coil as you pull it through. The Rayon fibres are all in-line, so it wicks ten times better than cotton. You can run it at higher watts, it lasts a lot longer than cotton, plus it doesn't get gunked up as bad as cotton. It's easier to work with too. Cotton pulls apart really easy, with Rayon you could probably lift a bus with a one inch width  It does look like cotton wool though. I'll post up a vid later :D

Cheers Ian i will watch that later as i am catching up on penny dreadfull ATM.

No probs mate. The guy that did the first video did say that he needed more Rayon in the wick, cos it worked great at first but then the wick sagged a little and stopped wicking as well later on. But it's amazing stuff mate :D

I'm gonna shoot off too now, see everyone tomorrow :)

That was the nice thing about the railway, minimum of 12 hours off before a working turn (8.5 if going to a non-working turn such as safety briefings).

Thanks, I don't mind paying for it, if it's not too much, I haven't ordered the Supreme yet, but noticed they have a special offer of it with their new atty and a couple of juices for £20 extra (the atty costs £29 on it's own)

I did try a small amount of the original bottle I got - very nice! I'm just hoping I'm OK with peach and the small amount of strawberry in it! Can but try :)
I had the Tennessee too - I could really taste the Jack Daniels in it! :)

Clark is great with Customer Service, I reckon he must spend more time answering questions and chatting to customers, than he does mixing. Or he never sleeps
Excellent service! I originally put something on my order that I realised afterward was a PG/VG mix of zero nicotine, so I emailed and asked if it were possible for them to change it to something else. He changed it with no problem! He'd been away for a 3 day Fathers Day weekend so had a lot to catch up on, so I was impressed by the service ..despatch fast too!
Tristan at Spiritus is very pleasant and helpful too.

Oh I hope CV haven't changed the mix with Lemon Meringue Pie, that's one of the juices I've repeat ordered from Steamgunk. I really enjoy that one.
I would think that the whole point would be to retain the same recipes on the SG range, so it may be exactly the same, and it could be me just not appreciating it ..or perhaps because it's max VG? I'll try it again next week after it's steeped a while longer.
The ones I ordered were marked as despatched today, but I doubt if I'll see them until Monday.

New items on the CV Site:

Posset: 'A sweet with a slight bitter tasting lemon creamy vape'
Strawberry & Elderflower: 'the perfect summertime vape'

Also, there's a page titled 'Rebranded Range' - there's 28 items on the page and they're flavour concentrates but not yet available to buy.
Not sure what they're rebranded from, but there's some interesting ones there.

And - there's a 'Chefs Vapour Concentrates' page too!

Aw! Sorry Terry - none of that yet.

As you may have guessed though, I did order both of those new ones because I just couldn't resist trying them ...but a lemon cream does definitely appeal to me! :)

Thats ok trish i can wait :D I do like the idea of the posset though and may try 10 ml of it, after all if it`s not to my liking Ian can have it.

To be honest Bob, that's one thing that really pi**es me off about the buses. We do a "safety critical" job like Train Drivers, but we're not getting the same rest breaks and they wonder why there's so many buses lined up to go in the bodyshop at the Depot :(

MMMmmm Jack Daniels, I'll have mine with a bit of coke, two ice cubes and a twist of lime please Trisha

Clark was the same with me the first time I ordered, we had a few e-mails back and forth and he even recommended Spiritus to me because of shipping times. There's not many businesses that would recommend you buy from someone else :D

I've got a full bottle of the LMP at the moment, so it will be a while before I re-order any. I'm still making a bit of space in my juice storage for all these samples that Terry is gonna send me

WOW 800 pages of really good information :toast:
looking forward to the next 800

Cheers Ron, I'll take the credit for 799, Terry can have the other 1 :p:laugh:

Well I hope you have more luck than I did originally :D

I haven't tried the other one yet, it's still in the box. I reckon I could probably get it working ok now, but it's still there as a back-up to my back-ups

Gonna be busy playing with the new toys tomorrow and re-wicking some more toppers with Rayon - I love the popping and gurgling it makes - annoys the Missus a lot

Let us know how you get on with the Rocket mate, I'm off now, see you later.
