Had another play with the Stillare today.

Tried a few different O-rings until I found one that would still let the atty connect to the positive power supply, but not leak on the Reo. So it's now leak free, but the Stillare logo is now sideways - but it's better without the leaks. Moved the coils down so their only 1mm above the top level of the juice deck, much cooler vape now. Plus I redid the wicks, leaving a longer tail where the wick touches the deck and lifting the other side, so it stays off the deck.

Result - superb. I'm having to squonk twice to fully saturate the wicks, but I can vape on it for 5 minutes before having to squonk again :D

I'm a happy vaper again.

There you go, you can even speak Chinese translation! It made little sense to me.

Is that CP without a little extra for upgraded airmail? Nice fast delivery.

I had a BVC pouring out last week, just as I was reading a thread on those coils, and someone said not to put the base on too tight - I dried mine off, put it back on but not as tight and it's fine!

Registered Airmail via China Post, the one I put the arrows against, that was the same price as the recommended one, I normally make my orders up to over $20 to take advantage of the free shipping.

You can't beat a good squonk mate

My original Reo is working great now it's been upgraded too. Before I had to push the button all the way, now it just needs a gentle touch to work. Plus I've got the piece of mind of all upgraded contacts.

I'll be interested to try the juices mate. It will give me an idea of the flavour strength, you know how I like strong flavours. So thanks again. I'll sort those tubes out for you too this week, I'll pop a couple of liquids in for you too :D

I thought I said I'd send you the 18500 tubes, so you could use 18350's with a kick ??

I'll send you some quality USA juices - Epic juice and some Alice in Vapeland stuff - their all nice ones, but I've got a bit bored off them to be honest. There's a couple of apple type juices and some berry ones. If you don't like them, just bin them mate :)

I think I said I'd send you the Caravela and Poldiac 18500 tubes. I've got a couple of spare nemmy top caps you're welcome to have (cos mine are all hybrid now). Or there's the place on ebay that I ordered the switches and top cap sets from :

Nemesis Mod Clone Spare Parts, Magnets upgrade kit, button top cap kick lock ring | eBay

Cheers i could definitely use the caravella mate, but i dunno about the poldiac  Yeah send it anyway ian, cos i may be able to juggle things about and get to use it. :)

EDIT: don`t bother with the liquids mate, i have got loads to be going on with, but thanks anyway.

I had the same problem with google adwords when I had the website (as part of the business). Paid for a few months and didn't notice any difference at all in sales. So sometimes advertising can be a waste of time. Good CS always seems to be the best way to increase business :D
First gallery I worked with, the owner had a background in PR, so she knew how to make the best magazines take notice - she used to do a press preview complete with images so that all the arts editor had to do was fit it to available page space ...made their job so easy, she got me a lot of good coverage in exchange for a small ad take later in the year in some cases.
As for anything else, I won't be advertising again- it's a waste of money.

Your set up sounds much more advanced than mine. I can use the zoom on mine and that's about it
I've only learned how to do what is necessary - it's not my favourite job by a long way! But, the images are needed for both my own and the gallery websites plus the catalogues and any advertising the gallery does, so they need to be decent photographs. I take them in RAW & jpeg so that there's always a large image that can be adjusted without any loss to original quality. I'm not good at hand-held photography, so the tripod is a must.
With the best ones, I can get great cards done of them from Moonpig, and canvas prints from another company.
The other photography I do is the items I paint - sometimes single by themselves, other times in a set-up - they're very useful and I often take them in low light at long exposures, so the tripod is even more important and the remote shutter control I use.

if you are only after the Mini then yes, otherwise the rest of the range have a 510 connector instead.
Kanger site just said 'Ego' fitting - thought they were all the same.
They aren't too expensive though so I think I might try the standard size one.
Looing at various tanks etc., I came across this battery on the Kanger site and also here: Kanger Ipow 2 Batteries - Coming soon - Batteries - Accessories

That's is a proper DRIP tip, used for dripping...
Ah! Didn't realise that - obviously what POM means!- it was just amongst the 510 drip tips and I didn't think about that. It does work though, just a bit chunky for me - it's this one: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1777303

Yes, I keep forgetting about the $20! I'll remember the CP next time! :)

When I read that, I almost hear a sort of squeaky, squelching noise!

No probs mate. If you can use either of them, I'll be happy knowing they're getting some use :)

I'm going to thin out my liquids, next long weekend I get off work.

Better keeping the ad money in your bank account :D

When I had the website, I used to spend hours setting up the pictures. A white sheet carefully draped over a chair, to give nice folds. A bit of glitter or flower petals carefully added. Camera sat on a stool to get rid of camera shake. For me, it was all about the background and how the items were displayed. But that's about as technical as it got for me

Another ECF'er coined the phrase "to squonk" - they said that's what the noise sounded like - and the phrase has been used ever since :D

I'm wishing I'd kept last years! The recession was a killer with the galleries ..everything was OK, a little less in sales, but not bad at all, until early 2012 ...and then it seemed to screech to a halt - all the galleries noticed it.
I did some really good paintings for last autumns solo exhibition, but that gallery still has 8 of the new ones left and hasn't sold one this year. The other gallery has sold a few this year, but if I'd been working at full steam, they'd have had more and likely sold more - can only hope the exhibition works well in October and that I can somehow get enough done to keep things happy for both me and the gallery! (She won't be happy when she knows it's not the normal number that she'll get!)

One way or another, I'll have to get back on form ...it'll be no more new 'stuff' for me if I don't!

That applies when I'm photographing items and set-ups and it's worth the effort - I have a library of hundreds of photos I can go to for inspiration and reference. I'm currently painting a Georgian champagne glass that glassblowers made for me a year ago, and I photographed it against a black background with some flat champagne in it! - good enough for me to get the right light, reflections etc.
With the paintings, the hard part is not getting any reflections which is hard with most of them having dark backgrounds - I have to hang a large sheet of black foam core with a hole in it over the lens, and prop up various black photo studio screens to stop the light walls reflecting back into it. It's a pain but at least I get to adjust the colours & light in my own paintings photos rather than leave it to the galleries who never get it right.

What did you have in your shop that you photographed?

Amazing! I'd never have guessed that. :)

Thanks Terry! :)
I was going to ask how would I know if I need one ...of course, when the tank wouldn't fit on the battery

If it is an ego fitting tank what you are looking at buying trish, and don`t have a battery with an ego connection, then you will need the adaptor. just let me know and i will root one or two out for you.:)

The V2 Kayfun is a good performer Adam, got one myself. I've opened up the airflow to maximum, plenty of clouds and flavour.

I'll be interested to hear what you think about the Magma. I've got a couple in my wishlist, cos I'm thinking about trying to convert one to bottom feeding - the way I've modded the Stillare to fit on the Reo.

Well no doubt I'll post what I think when I've put it to the test.

This evening had a semi successful go with the kayfun. Put a simple 1.5 ohm coil in with rayon, trying to emulate what I'd seen in a video somewhere where the rayon/cotton reaches down onto the deck part but doesn't cover the little gap where juice comes in. Wetted the wick so it should stay in place ish to start.

Screwed everything back together and filled it up using the hole on the base. Had a vape and it seemed quite 'wet'. Was going to have a peek down the chimney to see how the wick was working but forgot to cover the airhole when I unscrewed the top. Juice leaked out of it and then things got a little messy until I remembered I could blow juice out of the airway by blowing in the top. I think i may have overfilled it anyway (I'd read the amount of air left in the tank is important for pressure difference between the main section and where the coil is) or something as once I'd cleaned it up and tried again it did a little better but I haven't got it quite right as I got some dry hits.

Is there a way to have a look at the coil and wick without draining the tank? Anyway how would you best drain the tank?

Thanks :) I may try one of those tanks ...not desperate, just curious!
Also, I'll see what those new batteries look like when they come in stock - seem potentially rather powerful!
