Had a quick look at this (although there is no coil installed currently) but it's bleddy tight and when I did manage to screw it one way or the other the top piece with the positive post and airhole rotated round. Does that top bit unscrew and if so should I remove that before I do this?

Yes it does unscrew adam, but you don`t need to do so with it. As i said i have had to loosen a couple of mine, and the block is a tad loose, but at least they fire up. It is the screw which needs to make contact with the 510 connection on your mod if that makes sense.:)

Yeah I think so. So if the pin protrudes too much from the threading it doesn't make good contact as the pin is positive and the threading negative?

Yeah it`s a funny one mate, 2 of my kayfuns i have to have the pin protruding just a tiny bit, about 1 mm, the other kayfuns i have fully tightened down. I think it will depend what mod you are using it on as well. Thats why i said to try both ways, either fully tight or slightly loose.

Let me know how you get on with the quasar, mine isn't from FT but it looks the same. the o-rings inside the top cap drive me up the wall as they keep falling out or small rubber shavings fall into the deck. Also any juice that gets sprayed onto the walls of the top cap during vaping eventually makes its way through the airholes sometimes (whether they are open or closed). It's a shame as even if I tried to get better o-rings for it I don't see how one could fix the slight leaking, and it looks really nice and sits really well on both my devices. It's nice and thick as well which keeps it cooler than my trident.

Until you said that I didn't even realise it had o-rings in the cap, kept thinking it was funny no o-rings on the base, I get the spray problem with my EHPRO Pontus tank RDA if too much juice goes from the tank into the deck, but will watch out for that with the Quasar.

I just looked at the Vapemate one: out of stock  typical ...looks nice! Do you get extra flavour?

looks nice - it was YOU that put me on to it, or have you forgotten  don't think I got extra flavour with the last bottle, but I have just ordered some more MBV juices as my first batch is getting low, including 15ml of Blue Moo that you are all raving about +1 on that and the Bavarian Cream and +2 on the Caramel Coffee, Dulce de Leche & Graham Cracker and Morning Vape

Yes - 4 days today since his last post ...perhaps he'll be around tonight :)

Perhaps he's been overdoing it on the buses, and too tired to join us, either that or he just has nothing to contribute.

Vapemail finally arrived only took 10 days for 1 pkt from Hampshire, and 7 days for the other 2, from Oxford and Glasgow, so I now have 2 more KFLs, 2 Smok M-Core clearos, and the £18 2nd hand VMod (slight dink in the cover, but that will be replaced anyway), the eXpromiser also turned up today from Germany, so a little bit of coiling & wicking to be done over the next day or two, already done one of the KFLs using the premade one that came with it, although had to uncoil it to get the ohms down to 2.2 ! but it is now on my P3 Provari with some Strix Black Honey in it and it tastes luverly

What happened to Ian?? Have not seen him on here for several days. Even when he was on vacation he would pop in, hope he is ok.

Vape On

:vapor:
Yes it`s totally out of character, for him to go under the radar like this ??? Maybe his laptop has broken, or something similar. Hope he is ok though.

Oh yes!!! Their website didn't look familiar, but the company name did! Of course, I remember now! I did like it too. I may try another bottle!

He had been doing overtime, but was due some days off I think.

I wondered that, but doesn't he have a smart phone? Yes, hope all is well!

I appreciate all the concern guys and girls  I'm fine thanks, so no need to worry.

Just got back from a surprise break in Settle (close to Skipton in Yorkshire). It was our 16th wedding anniversary this weekend, so my wonderful Missus decided to book three days there. We had a long weekend there for our 1st anniversary. Went to the Red Lion in the centre of Settle, same place we stayed at for our 1st anniversary. It's recently had a huge renovation programme, so it was great to see all the changes there. Still got the olde worlde feel, wood panelling etc, but now it's even better. The Wife surprised me when I got home, she already had the stuff packed, said come on we're going away for a couple of nights. Started driving, she kept on giving me directions. As we got closer, I had a feeling we were going to the same place, but it was still a lovely surprise. She wouldn't even put the address in the sat nav, so it wouldn't give the game away  She's normally hopeless at map reading, but she had it all written out on a piece of paper

Anyway, I'm back now :D

Brilliant! What a lovely surprise :)

She had forgotten to pack my laptop (probably on purpose)

Plus my phone battery was in the yellow when we set off. Surprisingly, there was no phone charger in the case either
You have a very wise wife! :)

Happy anniversary!

Oh good, did you have a ride on the puffer, one of the best viaducts in the UK on that line, the Ribblehead.

EDIT: You just reminded me, only another 21 days for our 41st

Thanks Trisha. It was a lovely surprise. We really enjoyed it :D

I think she's trying to tell me something

Yep we did Bob. But unfortunately the steam train wasn't running, we missed it the first time round too. We did exactly the same sight-seeing as last time though :

Settle to Carlisle railway - all the lovely stations along the way. In Carlisle, we visited the Cathedral again.

Went back to Aysgarth falls and walked along the river.

Also went back to White Scar caves, it's still dark in there

Plus, had a few drives out, as we did last time. Saw the viaduct again. Only difference, last time I hired a top of the range Mercedes for the break, this time we were in my trusty Mondeo

Got back here about 5pm.

Modded the Cryptex dripper to a bottom feeder, it's working superb on the Reo.

I've cleaned and rewicked some Kayfuns, to try out the other juices from Terry. So far the blood orange is my favourite, tastes really close to the AIV orange creamsickle. The blue moo, comes a close second. Then the dutch apple. I've mixed the pineapple cake with the Bavarian cream, takes away the acidic edge. But I will definitely be getting the blood orange and bloo moo at some point. Their bloody lovely those two :D

Unfortunately, I only drive people up the wall and round the bend, would love to see all those places, but I only go by public transport, so have only done the Settle to Carlisle line once, but it is beautiful up there.

It's a lovely route mate. They really put a lot of effort into the stations, lovely floral displays and gorgeous scenery.

Aysgarth falls, still has an "honesty box" instead of being charged for entry  We just decided to revisit all the places we saw first time around, so nowhere new this time.

Not sure if i told you or not Ian, but their coffee is very nice as well, better than most i have tried. I also got some pina colada which is 10 times better than the cake IMO. The order i am waiting on now, i have got some sweet cream to add to the coffee, and i am guessing that will be a fab vape. Watch this space :) I will send you a sample when i get em mate.
