Bloody hell mate, you have been busy  I suppose it makes sense that you would get a denser vape with a wider diameter coil, and i will probably do that next time i have to do some coiling, or get bored. :D How many wraps of 30 gauge would you say for around 1.2 ohms ian ? about 5 ?

Well according to the "Steam Engine" app it's 3 wraps with a 3mm coil mate

Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

From the home page, click on the "coil wrapping" tab at the top. You can change any field to find out what you can change - superb app mate. You'd need either a thicker wire to do more wraps or stay with a 2mm coil for 5 wraps. Do you have any thicker wire mate ??

My 10 month old I2 has been acting wonky, not fully charging batteries, So I ordered the D2.
$20.67 NITECORE D2 2-Slot Digital Battery Charger w/ LCD Display Screen - US plug / compatible w/ Li-Ion / Ni-MH / Ni-Cd batteries
Which they also have with Euro Plug.

Glad your liking it, was a pain in my ... :)

Vape On
Burnie
:vapor:

Their normally pretty bullet proof chargers too Burnie. I got the earlier one too, without the digital screen, I've dropped it, the Wife has accidentally kicked it across the room  and it's still going strong. Your wonky one should still be within the FT warranty, if I remember right. Aren't they warrantied for 12 months ??

Bit of a fiddly build the Fogger, but a cracking vape. I know what you mean though, can be a pain at times :D

Yeah thats a handy calculator to have mate, i just had a go and yes 3 wraps ! Think i will just stay with what i do now though, cos as you say anything thicker than 30 awg, and i would be struggling to trap the coil legs.

Every single coil I've put in has come out exactly as predicted with the app :)

If you want some thicker wire just give me a yell mate - I've got all sizes now 24,26,28,29,30,31 and 32. Got the thinner gauge for making twisted coils up. I can happily pop some 28 in the post, bit easier to trap under the screws than 26.

No problem mate. So far it has been worth it with the bigger diam coil, I'll let you know in a few days if it's still as good ;)

Bit disappointed with the Grappler though, not a fan of bubble gum flavours :( Think I'll try another juice tomorrow instead.

Off to watch some telly now anyway. So catch everyone tomorrow.

I've been rewicking up a storm today.

Tried a couple of spaced micro coils first, loaded up the lemon bar (from Terry) and Get Razzled. I wasn't really impressed. So not knowing whether it was the juice or the new coils - I ripped them apart again :( Both juices tasted really muted, like going back to a Nova on silica wick. I could taste the Raspberry and the Lemon, but nothing special at all.

Anyway, scrapped those 2 builds and decided to try something different again - I know glutton for punishment

Been seeing a lot of talk about 3mm coils with rayon, so took some 26g kanthal and rewicked the RM2, 3 Kayfuns and 2 Russians. An absolute pain to get the coil legs trapped under the screws with 26g kanthal, but managed in the end.

Mixed some of the new MBV coffee that I got today with some of Terry's sweet cream. Did a 75% coffee/25% cream mix. Had about a quarter of bottle of Snickerdoodle left in the Reo, so I just added the coffee mix to that. Absolutely lovely. I reckon the coffee mix on it's own will be even better, but still an amazing vape.

Filled up the other toppers with Blue Moo, Grappler, Betelguese, LMP and the last of my DIY berry blast.

Using the thicker gauge wire and 3mm coils with rayon - WOW

Blue moo tastes creamier and bluer  Betelguese, even more complex and fruitier. LMP has taken on a new depth and Berry Blast seems like it's got 17 flavours in now, rather than 7  The only let down is Grappler, I can taste the grape, but it's a real sort of fake candy and bubble gum flavour - not too impressed so far.

------------------------------------------------

Did all the coils at around the 1.0 - 1.2 ohm mark. 7 or 8 wraps, very tightly wound with the 26g kanthal. I've got more surface area with the coils, so there's more rayon in there - so far, I like them 100% better than my 2mm coils - huge improvement. Plus I think the coils will last longer before a dry burn, another bonus

That's all I do now is 3mm coils tightly wound, but if you think getting 26g round the screws is hard you want to try 22g , I mostly use 8-10 wraps of 28g most of the time, but have tried the 22 and 26, only one I haven't had a go at yet is the 24g, emptied a KFL+ v2 earlier today gave it a good wash, dry burn to clean the coil 1.3ohm and it came up perfect, put some naturevape cotton in and filled it up with some Lemon Bar and it was gorgeous.

I keep the 22g for the drippers that have the holes in the posts, lot easier  4 or 5 wraps to get sub ohm builds, but not too low about 0.3 to 0.7 is what I prefer.

I'll be honest Trisha, if you really want the Hana, I'd say go with the one that has removable 18650 batteries - the one that I ordered. Get some decent 18650 batteries from a reputable UK source, or if you're happy ordering from FT - get the Sony VTC batteries like I have. FT also do some superb battery chargers, they do the Nitecore range. I think I paid about $30 for mine and believe me, it gets some serious use. It's just as easy to pop a battery out of the Hana and stick it in the charger. My Nitecore, will charge up 4 batts at once. I can pop 18650, 18350 and even 14500 batteries in all at the same time. It will automatically adjust the charge level for each size of battery. It has an LED system, so you know when their fully charged. When I use mine, I'll typically charge up around 6-10 batteries in a session, so the charger is easily running for over a day. You can get a 2 bay charger too the "Nitecore i2" - mine is the i4 version (4 bays) :)
I was wanting to avoid battery chargers, and although that $43 one has usb charging, it's only 1500mah (which I hadn't noticed until Bob pointed it out to me). The $49 one is also usb but more powerful.$49.00 HANA MODZ Pack DNA 30 Style Mod - 1*18650 / 7W-30W / battery not included at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Still feel undecided today

His other party trick was lighting farts

According to the calculator 4 wraps round a 3mm using 30g will give you about 1.13-1.28 ohm depending on which way the legs go return or forward (I think forward is kayfun style and return is dripper style. This is the one I use: Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

Seeing as you have already tried it with the cream, and you are going to try it without, and then the Chefs one, a comparison of all 3 would be great, so far am like the LB without the cream, might wait until the KF is half empty then put some cream in to see.

Yep, i had already tried it on it`s own when i first got it bob, then trish kept mentioning mixing cofusion etc with some of her juices, so i thought i would try some of the cream with it and never looked back  so yeah i can do a comparison on all three !

Have you tried the whipped cream yet bob ? twill be interesting to hear your thoughts :)

I haven't tried either of the creams on their own yet, will give them a go tomorrow in a dripper, as all my on the go mods have full atties on them already.

No rush bob :) I have got 120 ml of the sweet cream, and i only use it in the coffee and lemon bar. So tomorrow when i try chefs, if i find it better than the MBV one i am going to be putting a big order of coffee in next, as i won`t have anything else to add the cream too.

I haven't much idea what the LB tastes like so it's down to you to say which cream one is the best: CV Lemon C Cream Cake or MBV Lemon Bar/Sweet Cream :)

I had to use some medication again for breathing late last night! Then I woke up with a raw throat and uncomfortable teeth/gums today ...seems something I used yesterday had something in it that I don't tolerate well, and I don't think it was anything to do with PG.
Don't think it was either the Lemon Cream Cake or the Doughnut, but I may have an idea what it was ...we'll see! ;)

Been getting the odd decent day with vertigo this past week as long as I don't look straight down. Perhaps - and toes crossed here - it's starting to right itself!
All I need now is for my concentration and focus to get somewhere near it was and I'll be happy. It's definitely something to do with not smoking - the timing and likely cause is pointing towards that.

Just a thought trish, but are you keeping hydrated enough ? You probably already know, but vaping really does dehydrate you. They reckon on drinking 2 litres of water a day just to compensate what we lose with vapour. Don`t get me wrong i am not preaching as i don`t drink that much myself, it`s just a thought, with you waking like that.

I have a bottle of water on my desk all the time - don't always remember to keep drinking it though - but I do get through literally pints of tea each day

The sore throat and gums, painful teeth etc. is something I recognise: a particular type of vanilla! Never able to know what brand of vanilla flavouring(s), but it was the very first flavour to give me this problem: That was one by Mystic: Eldorado. Very nice but it literally shredded my throat and gums and made me very wheezy. It wasn't long after that I found I couldn't use much PG either, but have encountered one or two more vanillas that had a similar effect in VG since!

Just refilled my trusty Nautili with Mint choc Vapetto and Posset ..they don't disagree with me! :)

I reckon you could probably use your Sweet Cream with some others just for a change - things like Spottedick for instance? And if you have any fruit ones, they'd likely be nice with a little bit of cream.

No warranty for me, got it in a contest last Christmas, was free, so can't complain.

Yep, was a Pain for ME, Glad you are getting some use out of it. :)

I've heard the Nitecore Dx is better than the Ix, will probably get a D4 myself if/when one of my I4s packs in.
Heard the same thing, Reviews are good on it, which is why I ordered one.
