I'm awaiting my first rda and I have a couple of newbie questions

I'm assuming that a 4 post atty can be built as a single coil

and that a 2 post atty can be built as a dual coil ?

Does a micro coil draw the same battery power as an

open coil of the same resistance ? TIA

Yep you can put a single coil in anything and a dual coil in a 2 post atomiser. It is just the airflow options that might restrict you, a few of them are designed for only dual coils with the airflow.

Which rda is it you're getting? What device are you going to be using it on? :)

The power supplied to your atomiser doesn't care what it's supplying if you follow me. It'll put the voltage/power it's set to (or just the natural battery state if its a mechanical mod) through whatever you have set up. Macro/Micro/Nano etc coil generally refers to the internal diameter of the coil . but I presume you mean a coil wrapped tightly and squeezed together. People generally prefer them because being packed together it'll heat up quicker and provide the heat more evenly than a spaced out coil.

EDIT: This is assuming the coils all in question are of the same resistance. The voltage supplied by the battery will always be the same regardless of the resistance but the CURRENT drawn from the battery will alter depending on the resistance. Ohm's Law :vapor:

Bob,
How do you like your Billet Box? There is a 1:1 clone out I am thinking of getting and was wondering how it vaped.

Let's put it this way, it is still in daily use, but now I have lots of higher powered boxes, it's not as good, but for the way you vape you will probably find it very useful and especially good for taking out and about, you only need to take spare batteries and maybe a bottle of juice for longer trips. If it is a proper 1:1 then I would suggest using LR cartos and making sure the feed holes are big enough, I did hear that they were going to be doing an adaptor thingy to be able to use an atty on top, if that has one then it might be better,

I'm a low watt vapor and like carto's, which is why I was looking at it. Here is the least expensive I have found.
Billet Box Mod VV
But still looking. Was hoping to get it direct from China for a lesser cost, but haven't found it yet.

It does have the adapter to use any 510 atty with it, and I would also order the sophia kit from "By Leo".

Looks good, and I made a mistake above, they should be SR Cartos NOT LR (Standard Resistance 2 ohm)
Sophia is also a good idea for rebuilding your own.
Shame I can't find the adaptor and top screw separately as have just been looking at a vid that compares the clone and original and it says that all parts are interchangeable, and would like to see how it performs with an atty on top, I've actually been having problems getting mine to work with the billet bridge and Aspire heads, but it works fine with the cartos.

I use carto's that range from 2.1Ω to 3.0Ω. One review I looked at said the BB used 34mm carto's and not 35mm, I don't understand that because I thought 35mm was the standard, can you confirm that?

The original BB would not work for me because it only goes down to 4 volts, where the clone goes down to 2.8 volts. But I have seen different listing that vary on the upper limit from 4.2v up to 5.0v, so I am not sure of the high end.

I'm getting an Igo and I'm going to use it on my mvp 2 for now

so I'll be vaping 1.5 to 1.8 ohms at 10/11 watts. I'm currently trying to decide

whether to get in i Stick or wait for the mvp 3 coz I want to try something with

a bit more bant than the single coil attys I'm using at the moment

The vid I looked at said the clone takes 34mm but my Original takes 35mm (the standard size), that was in the vid by Shozza as he actually shows the differences between the 2, he also states that although the markings inside show the same voltages the clone is from 2.8v to 4.2v.

They are meant to be on sale tomorrow morning I believe. I'll probably be getting 1 or 2 with an order of assorted concentrates I've been deciding on for a while.
I ordered some Mount Baker concentrates from CV this morning - got:
Blue Moo
Lemon Bar
Lightning

I also ordered some other brands:
3x One on One: Vanilla custard Cheesecake - Flan (whatever that is-looks nice) - Vanilla Cupcake
1x The Rebranded Range: Cookies & Cream

I read that MBV state their flavours are strong so to be careful ..then they go on to advise 15-40% use! That's potentially quite a lot (I ordered the ready to use with 2 shots)
With the Rebranded Range it's 1-5%, and with One on One 5-15% ...big difference! Especially when every drop of PG counts for me! :)

I also placed another order for 50ml Doughnut King and 50ml of Lemon CCCake ...and just to satisfy my curiosity: 10ml QOP.

Too much pressure ..bad enough trying to stay on my level with what I do! No worrying about a pension though ..I aint got one!

Strawnilla was probably 2 months old here and goodness knows how old it was from Spiritus when I got is - tasted lovely when I did get around to it! If you ever see him do the Strawberry Symphony plain strawberry again, it's worth getting - very good flavour and can be mixed with a lot of things.
I'd ordered a 15ml bottle of it when the Cheesecake was being tried out, and it was my first upgrade: I got 30ml :) They do an upgrade every 5/6 orders.

Let me know how it is - If it's good I'll try some when the concentrates arrive. (They seem to be taking a long while!)

I haven't got a pension either  My house is my pension if it comes to it and I'm desperate.

I'll post my thoughts on it when I try it Trisha, hopefully tomorrow. I might even redo my dripper tomorrow and test all my new juices out.

For anyone on UKV who is interested it's up for sale HERE

Is it worth me joining UKV do you think Bob ?? You seem to be picking up quite a few great items there. Would I have my same hero status on UKV as I do on here ??

-------------------------------------

I'm getting rebate points envy. I've only got just over a dollars worth of gift certificate value on FT :( Having said that, I did cash a GC not so long ago :)

----------------------------------

No vape mail for me today. But there's some movement with 2 of my 3 orders. The FT order will be leaving HK on the 12th. My NT order looks like it's on a plane already, it passed through the ISC at New York, 20 hours ago

have you been playing with your IPV2 today Terry ???

I`m the same with a pension mate, all our money is tied up in the house, though it is paid for now. :toast:

If you are anything like me, and i think you are, you would be banned from UKV in a matter of minutes for posting links to suppliers.

Ian, yes i have been playing with it and what can i say Bloody fantastic, my batteries arrived just before we went out, so i put them on charge and left them

Anyhoo, set it up when we got home, and had a blast with it. ATM i have got a rocket on, with SD&C, 1.5 ohm coil and set at 15.5 watts, jeez these thing are proper cloud makers. :D

I'm amazed at that, you working on the buses, I would've thought they insisted on a pension, I'm living on my Railway pension and some of what was my lump sum, I invested a lot of it, and so far it has increased 3,000 in the last 6 months.

I'm on nearly all of them, AAEC, POTV & UKV - a lot of the items that come up in the classies usually start on UKV, then get posted on POTV and sometimes on AAEC, a lot of the stuff is not worth looking at, but sometimes a few goodies come up, especially the high end mods, there is also a good modders section on there with them offering their mods out like my StiG Helix & Juno v2 and the small wood one that I have by SJP. This forum is more useful for US contacts and things made in the US.

Same here, junk mail today but received news that my T8 is leaving FT today along with the small order that I used my GC for, Reos accessories and MBV that I ordered yesterday have both gone through NY ISC as well, and the Reo I got on UKV was posted this morning, still waiting for a couple of KF tanks from the US that isn't tracking, and a pouch for my Gizmo that has been sitting in LHR since 30/10.

Forgot to mention about that bloody farce of a flash sale last night. I waited up till gone 2 am and pushed the button, so far so good. Then i got an authorization code which i promptly punched in 7063,,,nope it wasn`t having any of it, so put it in again, and no again. Now i was getting pi**ed off. Then i tried 7o63 and it worked ! what a bloody waste of time as they had sold out by then, and i did put the code in as it was shown to me all upper case. So back to FT later to get a slug. Ian, i know there hasn`t been any reviews yet, but the 21 discussions all seem ok. :)

I haven't got a pension either  My house is my pension if it comes to it and I'm desperate.
I saved almost everything I earned until my husband retired and then we put away what we had in savings for any future needs - doubt it would go too far the way things are going, and I'd hate to part with the house - too much hard work went into paying for it! Still, we wouldn't be destitute I suppose. I'd prefer to keep earning even a bit regularly! Don't think my husband has realised how many bills I've taken over since inflation devalued his pension!

I'll post my thoughts on it when I try it Trisha, hopefully tomorrow. I might even redo my dripper tomorrow and test all my new juices out.
Yes, do let me know ..I almost bought some but didn't!
I read some reviews on MBV's site and didn't get the Vanilla cupcake I was going to get ....I got the One on One instead!

My NT order looks like it's on a plane already, it passed through the ISC at New York, 20 hours ago
For some reason, their delivery is fast! I've actually had some get here in 4 days! Mostly it's between 5 and 8 though.

I`m the same with a pension mate, all our money is tied up in the house, though it is paid for now. :toast:
Nice not having a mortgage to worry about! ...I just wish older people got reduced council tax ..we don't use much of anything! It works out at about £50 per week for the bins to be emptied!

If you are anything like me, and i think you are, you would be banned from UKV in a matter of minutes for posting links to suppliers.

We've been using 3yr bonds with our bank since the recession stopped decent easy access rates, but even those are getting abysmal now. I wouldn't want to take any risks with it though ...too hard to come by! I need to reinvest them at the end of December and I'm not too happy with the rates now compared to last time ..and I thought they were bad 3 years ago!

This forum is more useful for US contacts and things made in the US.
Funny seeing the founder is British!

I found another DNA Hana on FT last night in red that is a smaller size! It's just not listed as the mini! ...no, haven't ordered it ...yet ..still thinking about it

Did you all see that link to the company doing iStick plus a mini Nautilus for £42 ..free delivery from £30. The basic iStick is £30. I've never used this site before: https://www.elegantvapour.co.uk/create-your-own/istick-nautilus-bundle.html
Edit: forget the Nautilus - it's a clone! Thanks to DJS :)

Didn't know that, it's just when you join, there are a lot of Americans on here and a lot of the talk is about things American, so you just assume that it is American led.

That's the site that the guy who does reviews for it sounds like he says "Aligavapour", they're based in Cheshire
