Well my two orchid V4 were shipped today, like the slug was supposed to be. Buggers have put it back till tomorrow. Ian, have yoy you seen the orchids mate, looks like they blow the kayfuns outta the water. Dual coil, with post holes, so you can use really thick wire. :toast:

I'd like to know how you get on with them, heard good things, I'm sure I also read something adverse, but cannot find it now, may have been one of the earlier versions though.

Looking at the discussions though, I think that one will be the better of the two mate :)

Been watching the news about the probe landing on that comet ?? Like something out of the film Armageddon

Back in work tomorrow, but for only 3 days, then I'm off next week :D The Wife has started her job list already

Tell her if it's too long (more than 1 item ) she'll have to do them herself.

I wasn't avoiding you honestly Trisha
As if!

I had something similar years ago. Used to install the ducting for air conditioning systems and we worked at Euro Disney in Paris in the months before it first opened. We were installing a system up in the roof space in one of the restaurants. Started to climb the ladder to get up in the workspace, just as I was about the lay my hand on the ducting, I heard "STOP". Apparently the Italian electricians had left a live cable touching the metal ducting that I was about to lay my hand on. No warning signs or anything like that, could have been a real shocker
How careless people can be! :(

Let us know how you get on with the coffee mix :)
Will do! :)

One of the reasons why I got out of retail. Too much back stabbing, undercutting, dodgy dealing etc. People only looking out for no.1, it's not nice to see.
No, the ruthlessness of people can be quite unpleasant to see ..and the richer that type are, the more dangerous!

Yep, their both really quick on delivery, so it won't be long before I can finish off my e-juice masterpieces
I've got the FA Vienna cream myself, a little goes a long way with that one. I added a new flavouring to my order from CV too - Beach Fruit from the Rebranded range. It looked interesting, but not much in the description to be honest. I was going to get some Fluffy Nuts too, but there was no stock.
How would you describe the Vienna Cream? - I have a few TPA cream ones, especially the ones with no Diketones.
I got the Cherry Delight from the Rebranded Range last week - smells of cherries, almonds and cream! I almost got the Café Mocha too! I'll try the Mom & Pop one first. There's so much that a good espresso or black coffee can be added to - must find one! It'll be great with custard/caramel, tobacco, chocolate.... :) Perhaps I should play around with adding some cream flavours to Lews Brew!

Just watching a programme about it now Ian on nat geo ! :)
Just the facts on the news were a bit incomprehensible: the 10 years it took to get there, the distance, the speeds involved ...unbelievable! Some numbers are just that: numbers
It's fascinating enough just to see the space station going over :)

Just found the Facebook page for MyEpack and they're requesting they be returned to them for reimbursement and exchange:

anyone who bought this kit from us should stop using the USB wall adapter with immediate effect.
please return the USB wall adapter back to ,

MYEPACK LTD
UNIT 65.3 SIENNA PARK
WHITE HART AVENUE

please return using royal mail first class post

we will reimburse the postage costs and a replacement adapter will be sent.

Perhaps Grey Haze is doing the same, but I can see nothing on their FB page!

Ian/Bob, Have either of you charged your IPV via the usb cable ?? I plugged mine in before, and all what seemed to happen was the watts just went up to 50 ! There was no indication of it actually charging !

On the bottom just above the USB port there are 3 small lights, that light up Red when you put the put the lead in and the power is turned on, when fully charged the lights go out, sure you didn't accidentally press the + button whilst inserting the lead, I've done that before now.

Going back to the PC thing, I received this in my email today from another retired ex-workmate, it is an old advert for WD-40 and totally UN-PC:

I wish the experts would make their minds up about how we should charge our batteries

so far I've been warned off charging from my computer, from wall adapters, and my phone charger

FTR I;ve used my phone charger for the best part of a year without issue, although of course

I would not recommend this method to anyone else

Ha nice one Bob.

Was going to finally get round to ordering the rDNA 40 but that discount code for grey haze has expired it seems. Drat.

edit: also, where did you order your Lemos from?

That's the problem with discount codes.

The first one I got from Innovapours, I would have linked to the actual page but the age checker always takes you back to their home page, just put Lemo in the search box. The ones that arrived yesterday I got from Ali_Express and they took nearly 2 weeks to arrive from the date I ordered them.

ECF won't allow the address of the last one correctly so copy it and paste it into your browser then delete the underscore after the ali bit

As far as I am concerned and a few people on different forums have agreed with me.

1. Make sure you get a reputable charger:

For 18xxx type batteries that is XTAR or Intellicharger, don't know the XTAR but it does come highly recommended, the Intellicharger uses a normal figure of 8 connection lead, which is useful if you travel abroad, you only have to get a different lead.

For eGo style, the Wall Adaptor output should read at least 500mA and no more than 2A per USB-A outlet, and make sure you use the Charger cable or small Charger that came with the eGo or get one from a reputable e-cig vendor because that is what will control the amount of mA drawn from the Wall Adaptor, on those it should read Input 5v DC 500mA Output 4..2V DC 420mA, if you got any direct from China I would throw them and buy one from an e-cig vendor

2. A good twin USB Wall Adaptor is this one, This will output a Maximum of 2A on one outlet or 2 x 1A if both outlets are used.

3. Never leave them unattended whilst charging and remove them once fully charged, with 18xxx chargers if I am charging 4 batteries I will just pull them out as each one finishes it's charge.

I personally would only use the outlets on a full size desktop computer, not a laptop - but that's just me

With a bit of luck I should get my rda before I forget why I ordered it

and I was wondering if there is a general consensus of which would produce

better results for a given resistance, would that be a larger dia mandrel with fewer

wraps or a smaller dia mandrel with more wraps TIA

It depends on a few things, space on the deck, silica or cotton/rayon, no good using a mandrel with silica, best wrapped directly round it.
for cotton/rayon builds I normally prefer thicker wire round a 3mm mandrel, easier to work with and you can get the coils nice and tight together and you can easily thread the wick through, thinner wire can be harder to work with unless you torch it first to take the springiness out of it.

I think the best answer is to experiment and see what you like.

I generally use a 2mm screwdriver. It's small enough that it'll heat up slightly quicker than a 3mm coil but it's not so small than it's a pain to thread cotton/rayon through.

I'm not sure of the maths but I reckon you get more surface area touching the cotton/rayon that way as well. It's a balance though I get less dry hits with a 3mm coil I reckon, whether that's because it's a little cooler or whether the increased amount of cotton wicks better I dunno.

Have a play around.

Thanks Bob. So you would vouch for using ali express? $36 for an authentic looks pretty tasty. I'd been thinking about getting a lemo for a while and as it happens rip trippers reviewed it today. Says it is like a kayfun but with an airier draw and therefore better. I like the sound of it, have you had any leaks with yours? I'm a bit wary of the press fitting glass into flat o-rings...
