I wish the experts would make their minds up about how we should charge our batteries
so far I've been warned off charging from my computer, from wall adapters, and my phone charger
FTR I;ve used my phone charger for the best part of a year without issue, although of course
I would not recommend this method to anyone else
As far as I am concerned and a few people on different forums have agreed with me.
1. Make sure you get a reputable charger:
For 18xxx type batteries that is XTAR or Intellicharger, don't know the XTAR but it does come highly recommended, the Intellicharger uses a normal figure of 8 connection lead, which is useful if you travel abroad, you only have to get a different lead.
For eGo style, the Wall Adaptor output should read at least 500mA and no more than 2A per USB-A outlet, and make sure you use the Charger cable or small Charger that came with the eGo or get one from a reputable e-cig vendor because that is what will control the amount of mA drawn from the Wall Adaptor, on those it should read Input 5v DC 500mA Output 4..2V DC 420mA, if you got any direct from China I would throw them and buy one from an
e-cig vendor
2. A good twin USB Wall Adaptor is
this one, This will output a Maximum of 2A on one outlet or 2 x 1A if both outlets are used.
3. Never leave them unattended whilst charging and remove them once fully charged, with 18xxx chargers if I am charging 4 batteries I will just pull them out as each one finishes it's charge.
I personally would only use the outlets on a full size desktop computer, not a laptop - but that's just me
