Maybe they have taken on board the vid review, which was also the Rev 2.1 although I still think they may be quoting the voltages as shown on the dial rather than the actual voltage, do you have one of those in-line testers that you fit onto the 510 connector to be able to test it when it arrives.

No inline meter, just a regular Digital Voltage Meter, and I will just check it with that. Really never needed an inline, but guess I should get one of them.

The voltages on the dial are 4.0v to 5.5v like the original Billet Box, so not sure on the output, but I will find out next week. :)
If it is not what they say it is I can bust there chops about it, they say in the listing 2.4 to 5.0, so they are correct, or they are lying, which is not good on an Ebay listing.

I've been 'conversing' with a long time painter colleague in LA tonight - he makes custom blend colours for me and we've been trying to find a file between us that has images of combination colour mixes to get a new tube of a dusty blue UI use!!! Can't find the file but looks like we're getting there with the right colour/shade! ...so, not been able to do my usual forum gossip tonight!.

my order from MBV arrived today, With a 15 ml freebie, called razzled tea or sommat.
Hope your freebie was the right strength etc. As you know, mine was a PG mix!!! I'll get around to sending it to you. Did you get anything new in today's order apart from the free one?
I hadn't expected any free samples because they say they don't send them international because of the shipping charges. Must weigh the package now and decide if one will go for the same charge! (be nice if they sent what can be used! :()

So just to sum up, i got an ipv, with a dodgy usb connector, and an I-Stick, with a dodgy usb adaptor, both from grey haze. Hmmm
Aw! didn't know you had a dodgy iStick usb adapter. Good thing we have more than one! ;)

First of all a big apology

My Wi-Fi went AWOL last night, so I wasn't doing a disappearing act, I just had to stop myself throwing the router out the window
Thought you disappeared suddenly! No doubt it's OK now?

I've not used the Vienna cream on its own Trisha. I've always used it as an addition to my DIY mixes. I think the highest I've mixed it at is 3%, that was in a strawberry cream mix. Used 15% Totally Wicked strawberry and 3% Vienna cream. Even at that level the Flavour Art Vienna Cream was very strong. Now I just use 0.5 - 1% in my mixes, so more of a background note.
Yes, I did mean as an additive to make something creamy such as a simple/plain fruit or coffee so around 1-2%? Fruit & cream or coffee & cream is the idea.

I'm the same about leaving a charger unattended. If I leave the room even for 5 minutes, I switch off the charger.
I've always been very careful with charging stuff, especially these things.
I do use my desktop ports to charge stuff now and then: MVP's for instance, and they charge fairly quickly. computer never seems to falter when charging either, but it is a fairly powerful one for the number of heavy programmes I use at times. It'll be 4 years old in spring ..probably be time to get a new one ...it's a Chillblast Photo Fusion and it's the best PC I've ever had ..very nice company too for after sales!

Must admit it looks nice that george. If you like desert vapes though, This is the place to go, everyone on this thread will agree :)
Yes, Chefs are ace!

You're as bad as the Wife, she's still got all the plastic on her laptop. Sometimes, she'll pull the stuff off and re-align it when it looks crooked
Reminds me of husbands sister ..no children, but they kept the transparent covers on their 3 pce. suite for decades!!! I used to be a bit precious with things like that - I remember a mobile phone and me getting annoyed because the screen started looking iffy after only a couple of weeks ...yes, it still had the screen protection on it!

Don't forget the QOP (Queen of Puddings) and Fluffy Nuts, their bloody lovely too :D
I can't resist QOP so I ordered another 10ml and left the 30ml untouched for now: I wondered if it had been a PG mix by mistake. I've only used a couple of ml out of the new 10ml so far but had no bad reactions...yet. I'll treat it with respect though because I wouldn't be surprised if blackcurrant isn't as bad as blackberry for me!

Ive gone and took it off now with you bloody mithering

@ Trish, from my time making fishing bait I know that most of the

flavour concentrates available to juice makers are just a mix of chemicals

with nothing at all of the natural product that they mimic in them

the processes for obtaining most flavours are by extraction which

involves crushing and pressing, heating or steeping which produces

essences and a process which involves breaking a natural element into its'

chemical components then reproducing those flavours by mixing those chemicals

together in a lab, the flavours thus produced are referred to as nature identical

and it is most likely these (NI being the most cost effective) that are used in

e juices. So it is likely that if you have a reaction to one flavour you will have

a reaction to all flavours with the same signature, so if you react to say

blackberry I think you should be wary of things like blueberry, blackcurrant

raspberry etc

If the flavour concentrate business has changed significantly and concentrates are

produced by more natural methods then please disregard the foregoing, and I've

just wasted 10 minutes

I think Moe's Potions are the only ones that use 1 natural flavour in each of theirs, and the only one I and many others liked was the Necromancer (P-Vapes does them)

That does make sense in some ways - from what I know of natural vs synthetic pigments, many from the same family behave in similar ways in use, but it does with both.
Flavouring seems odd, and along with some other issues with base liquids, it's been very hit and miss for me.
With citrus, I do know that lime causes me problems, but Chefs Vapour have three lemon ones that cause me no problem at all. I've never found an orange one that's nice enough for me to find out yet! :)
Some strawberry can give me definite problems, yet their Strawberry Vapetto is OK as long as I don't use it too much.
I had one Blackberry, and that gave definite problems, and it seems that blueberry and blackcurrant can be slightly problematic, so again, can only be used sparingly.
I get problems with cinnamon too, and some vanillas/custard, but not all.

I saw this thread earlier in the year and it does highlight some of the flavours that can be irritant. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-may-contain-diacetyl-there-really-many.html
Seems the common denominator there is diketones/diacetyl - something that is being addressed by a number of the more conscientious flavouring manufacturers. Because of that, I'm starting to think that is why some vanilla/custard for instance does trouble me badly, whilst others don't.
There may be more to it, but gradually, I'm finding what does & doesn't work for me.
I even find that the VG base used by CV for instance, gives me less congestion than others.

This is a very good chart for those of you that have the iStick:

30wrtwp.jpg

As you can see depending on the build (coil ohms) and the level of power left in the battery some wattages are not attainable.

If you look at the 8w level then the 1.0 and 1.1 builds will never reach 8w and even to reach 10w @1.0ohm the battery would have to be drained to 3.2v, if we look at a 2ohm build on full power the lowest you will be vaping at is 9w irrespective of if you have it set lower.

I got a small packet, some NI-200 wire and cotton pads, not sure about the wire now as someone on POTV reckons that Vape Atomiser Mesh wire is not clean and covered in oil residue and tastes vile unless torching it off before use.

I've used them before for kanthal and I have not noticed a funny taste. I sometimes heat 28ga with a lighter a little bit just to get the springyness out but my 25ga I don't bother. I do usually fire the coil and squeeze it quite a bit before wicking it though as I like my coils nice and neat.

Yes 2 things ordered from grey haze, and 2 dodgy items recieved ! needless to say i won`t be shopping there again, i have left my thoughts through a review, but i don`t know if they will put it up or not.

I got the apple strudel, Blackberry, some more coffee and lemon bar. :)

I think the freebie is 50/50 @ 6mg trish :)

Looks like whatever is still available is it for Moe's Potions as they've stopped making it.

Never want to go back anywhere that sends dodgy stuff. I will still use MyEpack though - the prices and delivery are very good, and they have done something about the chargers. Can't be bothered to send mine back ...will just break it and bin it.
Talking about MyEpack, they've got the iStick and mini Nautilus back in stock.

I wouldn't think I could use the blackberry, but it does sound nice! If I ever see a flavouring that states the diketones have been removed, I'll see how it is, but I think I've read that diketones can occur naturally in fruit flavours.
I haven't made a bottle of Lemon Bar yet from my concentrate ..must get that done as it tastes rather good when trying a tiny drop. I'll have to try the coffee again too. I've just washed a mPT2 so will try it in that.

I think the freebie is 50/50 @ 6mg trish :)
Same as the one they sent me in Strudel - must all be the same base & strength perhaps.

It appears the funny taste was on the Nichrome 99.9% that they originally sold and preceeded the NI-200, so hopefully that has been cured now, their was never a problem with their Kanthal.

Not before I kick the bucket Ian :pervy::pervy: unless you spelt it wrong and meant VMods

No spelling mistake mate and watch out for those buckets

I don't normally bother unless it's the very thin wire, to take the springiness out of it, just do the coils install them, and then do a test burn and use the ceramic tweezers to tighten the coils up a few times until I get them glowing nicely.

Some people torch, others don't, guess it's just down to personal preference really :)

Good, cos you`re Not having them Ian.

Night mate.

Working fine now thanks Trisha. Looks like we've both had a good excuse for being AWOL though

I'd maybe go a bit higher with the coffee mix 2%, but 1% with the fruit mixes. It's just trial and error though, as you know, start low and gradually work up. With the FA cream though, I'd go up in very small amounts - like 0.5%.

4 years is a good lifetime for a computer. I think most electronics these days are "engineered" to fail after so long. Or is that just me being cynical

One of my mates, used to have the plastic carpet runners in his hallway to protect the carpet. Plus a range of slippers in the hallway, so that all visitors could take off their shoes at the door and don a pair of slippers. Once the kids arrived, the slippers went in the bin along with the carpet runners

My slug from FT has speeded up and is now ready for shipping :) the the erlkonigin thing is on a go slow and holding things up, been put back 2 days on that.

Sometimes, if it's a large order they will split it and send out the items they already have in stock. Best advice - order from FT and forget about it until it drops through the door. Not that I take any notice of my own advice
