Been busy today.

I had a Kayfun 3.1 with a leaky base, another Kayfun with a dodgy 510 pin and a Kayfun Nano that wasn't feeding juice properly. So after cleaning and rewicking a couple of my other Kayfuns, decided to do a bit of modifying.

First up, got out the Dremmel and opened up the juice channels on the Nano. Then completely disassembled the leaky 3.1 base. Finally took apart the Kayfun with the dodgy 510.

Then I fitted the chimney, tank and top cap from the leaky 3.1 to the Nano - never really liked the small liquid volume of the Nano. Atty number 1 modified.

Then I took the insulator from the 3.1's centre pin, gave it a bit of a file down, fitted it to the Kayfun with the dodgy 510. Atty number 2 modified.

Finally bagged up the re-usable parts from the 3.1 for spares.

Had another look at "Bob" - but it looks like he's a terminal case, so he'll probably end up in my spares bag. Looks like the leak is unfixable, without an Act of God. I know where it's coming from, but there's no way to fix it :(

It's one of the reasons I buy drippers but very few tanks from FT, prefer to buy from UK vendors, that way if something goes wrong I can complain, the main problem is that FT don't normally say who the clone makers are, so you don't know if you are getting one from a reputable cloner like Wotofo (A-Mod ones), I'm hoping they will be cloning the KF 4

Wouldn't do to all be the same! You'd probably like a designated sweet one: Sweet Red Wine | Gallo Family Vineyards, or a sweet white such as chardonnay, moscato, reisling etc. If you want to find one or two, watch out for wine merchants doing wine tasting days/evenings ...and don't drive home

That's the sort of thing I'd probably try, thanks for that Trisha. It's funny, when we have a family Xmas dinner we always have a bottle of Reisling  I think part of the problem I have with red wine is, I expect it to taste like Ribena and it never does  I'll watch out for the wine tasting sessions.

As far as I could tell, FA are the only one to do Bilberry. I must use some more of my Bilberry and cookie (I got some ready made to try) - not too sure if I'll have a problem with the bilberries after my recent sad affair with QOP! It's certainly a very nice flavour! If I'm OK with it, there's a number of possibilities such as mixing it with plain cake and cream or custard, cheesecake, just custard, vanilla ....not thinking any more 'cos I'll be mad if I can't use it!
Have you ever tried a black tea one?

The mix I did tastes mostly of the lemon, the bilberry is really only a background note. I do tend to get more of the bilberry on the exhale. The only tea flavour I tried was one from Alice in Vapeland, it was a bit too mild for me - you know how I like the stronger flavours Hope the bilberry works out ok for you.

I placed a repeat order for LCCC and Doughnut today and added two flavourings: Strawberry shortcake and Meringue. I may see what that meringue tastes like and with cream, pastry and something like a strawberry/raspberry mix may get something akin to the QOP ...or not! :)

With a bit of trial and error, you never know. If not just use the force

I think it'll be perfect for an out and about device.
I saw a number of people using the MOW tanks as well as the Nautilus, and I ordered a SS MOW Mega from MyEPack last night (2.8ml), and it's been despatched today. Very slight overhang as it's 19mm, but not enough to bother me. I'm forever refilling the two with Doughnut and LCCC. Oddly though, I've taken to using the LCCC on an iPow 2 at 6.5-7W as it can taste a bit burnt on the iStick. (I sort of know why now!).
I just hope the MOW Mega isn't like all the other full size tanks I've tried after being happy with the mini versions: they've all gurgled, spat or leaked!

As long as it doesn't leak in my light blue shirt pocket, I really don't mind  A slight overlap in size doesn't bother me much either. Some people get really OCD about those things, but as long as it works that's the main thing - function over form.

Got a reply from them today (after three days - do they not work weekends in a big company like that!) They couldn't see the attachment re the postage charges to return the pesky Hana. So, I related it in a reply and also added the attachment again ...I can see it in the reply! ;)

They've always been slow on replying to open tickets Trisha. A lot of people think they're doing it on purpose, but it's just the way they've always been. And you're right, they don't work on weekends, does seem a bit strange I know.

The leaky 3.1 I've had for about 12 months now Bob, so I've had a pretty good run with it. But the "Bob" atty, I think it's a manufacturing flaw to be honest. Others don't seem to be having the same problem, so I can't even say it's a design fault. I probably could fix it, but at the moment I'm just basking in my other successes

Thinking back to Terry an his 'angelic slimies sorry smilies' ...he may be good for invoking a divine intervention

 Terry, the hand of God. Has a real ring to it

Hi Terry
Do you have a Kayfun nano kit?Ifso, have you tried the fit on your Orchids.Or have you tried any of the bits for changeability?

No i don`t have a nano kit george ! And from what i can see the only parts what i could change would be the topcap, and the clear tank section. If i am honest though i have just been enjoying it as it is :)

When i do a refill tomorrow, i am going to try filling with a syringe from the fill screw, to see if that solves the filling issue !

Do I get a round of applause

Looks like I've finally cracked the multi-quote gizmo

Ah, but be careful if you keep the window open and try to do another quote, whether it be a multiple or single, you might have the other quotes added on at the beginning, that's happened to me before now

They are absolutely fantastic mate, i remember you mentioning a few pages ago about still tasting the vape 10 minutes later, it is just that ian, a real full on flavour. :)

Oh look..A multi quote  Yes i have thought about that george, but to be truthfull, in over two years of vaping i have only ever cracked one tank using the lemon bar, replaced it with another pc one and it`s fine. :)

Thanks Bob! Never been electrically minded! I know how a fuse works and what to use, how to wire a plug, and which light bulb works best, but little else with electricity. ...oh - I know it hurts if you touch it

You've not lived until you've had 750v DC singe your hair & beard, we used to pull the fuses without cutting the current on our trains

By the way - not heard back from Chefs Karl re the doughnut - if I hear nothing in the next day or so, I'll send it to you anyway :) Just preferred to ask first.

Do you need my details, or did you copy it from the piccy

I think I'm the same as you, don't mind the odd drop of sweet white or rose, but all the reds I have tasted just have too much tanning and draw the mouth out - YUCK
although nowadays we tend to drink ours with a drop of lemonade (sweet spritzer). I rarely drink at all these days, a couple when I go to watch Dulwich Hamlet at home, the odd vape meet and when I go abroad.
