The last couple of years in the business I changed my Accountants. All they were doing was basically checking my figures and charging me £1200 + VAT per year for the privilege. When it got to the stage they wanted to charge me extra for checking the figures when I had my garage, I decided to look elsewhere. Found a smaller local company that charged me £150 per year instead - big difference. I was doing 99% of the work for them anyway
I have the same basic feelings about mine - but, the senior partners include ex tax inspectors and VAT, and can enter dialogue with their former counterparts at a level the average accountant likely couldn't. There's nothing complex or underhand with my tax affairs, but it's nice to know they have that expertise.
For all my work is on a simpler level, they did work out the best time of year and best way to prepare invoices for me, and they have been very much worth the £900 it costs me each year. That includes my tax return too, and they tell me to the penny how much to pay every 6 months - never been wrong either.
Still, since the recession, I have wondered if I should change. Been with them for 20 years now, so the original team aren't there any more ..they used to take me out to lunch when I took my accounts through to them in those days - I send them digitally now!
Think I'll see how things go in the coming year.

I do wish though that our tax system was as simple as in the US - my friend in LA has the accountant come each year end, looks through the ins and the outs for the year just ended, and they usually get a rebate there and then.
With ours, I'm having tax assessed on the previous year accounts (2013 in the current case) but paying actual tax based on what they think I'll earn in 2015! How mad is that! No wonder no-one understands it properly.

In short, I honestly don't think there's a "snowball in hell's" chance of them regulating anything. Any rulings will get challenged in the high court and eventually quashed. vaping has now reached the point where any laws won't be pushed through under the radar, there'd be riots in the streets :D
I'd like to think so! ..and I hope you're right.
I'm just not too sure the British population is that practiced at standing up to be counted. With younger people, once something elevates to violence and vandalism, the cause is lost, whilst on the other hand, with the more mature we're not exactly the most vocal of countries when it comes to our rights.
I really don't see how they can even think of what is proposed ...but why propose it? Too many rumblings rather than rejoicing that millions have stopped smoking, and instead merely making sure that what is on the market is good quality and as safe as the average kettle and tea bags are!

Does the Wife count, she chases me a lot
Confucius would say that your nightmares can take on many forms ;)

That sounds awful Trisha :(

I never eat any chicken or fish cold at all. I always nuke it to the point of oblivion  The Wife loves cold prawns, not for me though - they either have to be well cooked in a curry or paella.
This was a fresh chicken and vegetable ready to cook meal, and it was cooked thoroughly too. We use one of those combination ovens that can use convection oven and microwave at the same time, so everything gets very well cooked right through. A hint of pink on chicken and we'd not even think of eating it. I prefer hot food to cold. Needless to say, it's rare that I eat any poultry.

I bet there's a lot of cases that go un-noticed with food poisoning. Most people tend to have a bad stomach for a day or so, then forget about it. I definitely wouldn't want to go through what you did though.
In my time I've been through killer flu epidemics, got mumps in my twenties, had a terrifying event in hospital that was so bad it literally made me mistrust the medical profession for life, but never have I been so seriously ill as when I had that - poor husband was convinced I was going to die that weekend.
I had my most expensive painting sold over that weekend at the opening of a solo exhibition in Scotland, and not only did we miss it, I thought it had been a delirious dream and didn't even think about it again until it was mentioned the following week.

I've now settled at much more manageable 9 watts  The iStick is still amazing me with how well it works :D
Even with my less sophisticated tanks, I miss the iSticks when using any other battery.

I think I'll redo it when I get chance, but so far it's working great.

I just made up a couple ( fit em tomorrow ) 10 wraps of 30 for 1.2 ohms. Really just so i can use it on a stick till my other Hana arrives. Then i will go sub ohm with all 3 of them :) Having said that, one of them already is sub @ 0.8, and vapes fantastically.

A quick question, what advantage would 10 wraps of 30

have over say 6/7 wraps of 32 guage ?

Looks like my 3 Lemo`s from ali express, are now on a flight :) My craptech order is still sat at the bloody post office over there, been there since The 8th :(
I have a small order for BVC & V2 coils that was despatched from FT on 3rd but didn't leave for here until 11th. Suppose it'll get here ...eventually

My Indigo order still seems to think it's in New Zealand though!

I had a query about a couple of things in my Cloudhouse order so emailed Nathan at 5 - got a really helpful reply just a couple of hours later. I'll certainly be ordering from there again!

10 wraps of 30 would give you around 2.3 ohms vinnie. 7 wraps of 32 about 2.5 ohms. I think the only difference would be the 32 would heat up quicker, but 30 a lot easier to work with :) That would be 2 mm dia.

Wouldn't the thinner wire get just as hot with less power and extend your battery

uses per charge cycle ?

All of the following assumes that you're talking about a similar resistance, thicker wire will give you a greater surface area, so is in contact with more cotton = more vapour in theory.

Also personally I find thicker wire will take a little longer to heat up, and I find that makes your vape smoother. Thin wire heats up really quickly and can get too hot I reckon, whereas thicker wire heats up more gradually.

Also thicker wire is so much easier to work with and make coils with. 28ga or lower is nice and easy to work with. I think 30 or 28ga is ideal to start with.

Anyway hope that might help.

Also unrelated, my latest FT order has been in the air for ages if you believe the tracking. "Sent abroad" by singapore post on the 5th and still hasn't shown up in the UK :glare:

Today I cleaned and re-wicked my kayfun and my veritas and thought I'd try out the japanese cotton I got with my Ni200 wire. Pretty sure I've been overzealous and stuffed too much through the coil because I don't find I get as much vapour as with rayon. I'm probably just used to rayon now that I know how much to thread through. Taste is clean though and haven't had any dry hits on the kayfun yet.

Also after weeks of tinkering I think some of my more complex DIY recipes are pretty good.

I've got one I'm calling "raspberrycolada" which is pinacolada with extra pineapple and some raspberry :)

Still struggling to get exactly what I want in terms of a caramel chocolate with the inawera concentrates I'm using. I think the caramel might just be not what I was looking for, not creamy and sweet enough. I've tried adding sweetener and cream but they overpower the caramel.

how is everyone i havn't posted for a while been to busy corrupting the local b&m
thats when i could get there as i broke a toe at work and couldn't drive for 2 weeks.
whilst of work i purchased a nautilus because i couldn't be bothered re-coiling
and it gets lots of use really liking it on the a-mod zna30.
then i thought i would try the mutation x v1 picked up some .5 nicrome all i can say is wow huge clouds
this is my best dripper i have for sub ohm builds and the veritas is great for flavour.
sold one of my patriots at the local vape hq to the lad who works there. he is just getting into dripping. coiled it up for him whilst at the shop.
after he had a go on my mutation x and fogging up the shop he now wants one:vapor:
on the ft front i have a orchid v2 coming and a chuff style drip tip.
also been looking at the replacement base for the fogger v4 as mine has a brass positive post thats plated and now peeling off and i don't like the idea of that. but if the orchid is good it might replace the fogger
juice wise i have been using a few of the t-juice range and liking them
also ecig wizard strawberry jam and mrs b's custard i have some nuclear plusion but can't make my mind up if i like it or not it's a strange one
finally vape hq do a really nice apple pie and orange burst
my local have also started to sell nic base and the other local sells vg and pg so might i get into diy again

I have been using the ... cotton myself for a couple of weeks now adam. Like yourself, i find it a very clean vape, with no sign of any dry hits, It is certainly on par with the rayon :) But unlike rayon you need less resistance when threading your wick, and i don`t roll mine up. like with the cotton balls, just take them outer layers off, and sort of pat it together into shape, just so it is slightly touching the coils when you thread it. :)

Alright Daz, good to know you have been terrorizing your b&m mate  I can`t speak for the orchid V2, but the V4 is up there with the best IMO :)

Yes i had a .3 build on the mutation x there was a group vaping on standard aspire kits at the other end of the counter.
You should of seen the look on their faces one of them said mine doesn't do that:)
Looking forward to trying the orchid looks easier to build than the fogger and better airflow.
