Bob I intalled the duals in The orchid i was talking about last night. First coil in no problem, second in, and snapped one of the bleeding legs, by over tightening it
So i made a new coil, and got it all set up nicely ! wouldn`t fire on the stick saying no atomizer, so i put it on my hana, and it reads 1 ohm  I was aiming for 1.2, but hey ho  Anyhoo, test fired it and both coils glowing lovely, from the inside/out. :)

So far so good, wicked her up with rayon, and put a few drops of juice on, test fired again and all is good ! Filled up with SG&C, let it sit for 10 minutes, set the hana to 22 watts, and boy is she running good :toast: I still find it a bit strange that this juice tastes a bit weird, but it will soon be gone with this set up.I will have to get some more at my usual 50/50 and just hope it`s right next time.

Glad it's working, if that is 100% or Max VG then it will taste different from 50/50, the higher VG stuff as far as we are concerned is better in drippers, and for cloud chasing, otherwise stick to 50/50.

At the moment I'm having problems vaping at all, the other half dropped a cold on me yesterday, I've been barking ever since, throat is now sore but the cough has eased a bit, might have some honey & hot lemon, and have an early night, see if I can shift it, either that or give it back to her.

Thanks bob, I`ve only got one more to perfect now  Yes i got this SD&C max vg, but i didn`t think it would alter the flavour as much as it has done ! Lesson learned, and soon be back to 50/50, i will order some shortly :)

A good few hot toddies should help with that bob :) I usually have Australian white wine with hot water, honey and lemon, It doesn`t always shift it straight away, but boy you will sleep good.

Got to say thanks Terry, you've got me stuck on Blue Moo. I haven't used off that sample you gave me yet, I keep going back to it and comparing to what I have in stock and it's very good.
I've found that Chefs Vaper stocks it on their uk web site but can't find the details eg. Pg/vg mix, strength or bottle size. Any ideas how to find this? And is the juice the same as Terry gave me that he got from the USA?

It is a nice vape dave isn`t it :) If i had any spare i would send you some, but i have only got about 6 ml left till i order some more, and i have rationed it  You should just order some direct dave, they are really fast with the shipping, and it`s not too expensive. :)

Well here i am Ian, HANA in hand  Orchid on top, filled with SD&C, and at 22 watts with a 1 ohm coil. As oliver hardy would say Mmm Mmm Mmm. :D

I just put another order in at chefs for 30 ml SD&C 50/50, and i thought i would get 10 ml of their apple and irish cream to try out. I`m off to Mbv now, may as well get well stocked up for chrimbo. :)

Yes I'm looking at putting an order together but was looking to see if I could find some in the uk, thought I'd hit the jackpot at chefs. I go back in hospital for another operation on New Year's Eve so was hoping I'd find some for when I get out. Better put an order in pretty quick.

See what people like me have to put up with! I have no idea what these things taste like in a PG/VG mix ...but as long as I find some that do taste good to me, then I'm happy :)
Interesting that something like QOP was good for us all ...wonder if just some flavours don't work so well with all VG?

Hope you feel better tomorrow! :)

I think the closest to the UK what sells it dave is cloud house, who are based in france i think europe anyway  but they are closed now till the new year :) I am just looking at MBV now at their gwar range, especially the gwar y4. :D I don`t do a lot of baccy vapes, but that could make a nice change to the ones i am used to.

All i know trish is that PG is the flavour carrier, so reduce that and you reduce flavour :) I should have remembered that before i ordered at high VG  Never mind though, i`ve nearly finished the 20 ml i bought !
I think the QOP was very nice, but just too much jam for me

Cheers, I was a bit confused there, I was thinking it was ready to vape not a concentrate. Any idea of the bottle sizes?

All the MVB at chefs are concentrates - in 10ml bottles :)

Trish is correct they are advertised as 10ml but as the bottles they use actually hold more like 12ml sometimes you get a little extra :)
They are the same as the empty bottles they sell and I think they're really good for DIY juice. If you make up 10ml in them there's some room for air which I think helps steeping and they get mixed up better when you shake the bottle. While my juices are steeping every so often I'll expel the air and let fresh air in, then give them a shake.

Starting at 15-20% does mean you'd make less juice than other concentrates that are more like 5-10% to start BUT I find most of the complex flavour concentrates like MBV, pink spot, chefs vapour's own concentrates etc are like that, presumably because they have been made from multiple flavours to start with, as opposed to single flavours which can go further if made just as that one flavour (e.g. plain raspberry or plain custard).

The chefs vapour site lists the typical percentages needed along with some description on the "flavouring information" page. If you're looking for concentrates that need only a few % then inawera are very strong and are typically measuered in "drops" rather than a %. Apart from the tobacco types they are mostly single flavour style ones though.

Anyway I've rambled a bit there. This evening I sanded down the hobo inner barrel so it sits where it should, re-wicked the Ni200 coil with rayon and it's really good. The different airflow adjustments you can make are great and I'm a big fan of drippers where it's nearly leak proof like this one and the veritas. The only problem now is that the RDA is shorter than most so most drip tips look too big on it!

 I might not have a Hana yet, but I do have a Lemo now  Plus I make sure I order the right PG/VG juice ratios :p

-------------------------------------

My MBV order has cleared Customs in the UK, so might arrive soon.

FT order has been split too. iSticks are now being packaged and the other Lemo, is, you guessed it, restocking - knew that would happen

--------------------------------------

Had a real shi-tty day at work today, that's why I've only just landed on ECF world. Only 2 more work days though, then 4 days off. I'll have chance to set the Lemo up then. I did get the sweeties and Xmas card from BA too, along with the Lemo :D

Glad you got the Hobo sorted out Adam, did it take long mate ??

I could do with a leak proof dripper myself. I don't tend to use drippers much because of possible leaks. I see a few of the newer ones now claim to be leak proof, so it's always good to hear from someone that's actually still got a dry mod

Ooo, you have had a bad day haven`t you nasty knickers . FT are getting to bloody good at that restocking crap, They really annoyed me with the kayfuns once, then it started with the Lemo`s, and i just went to Ali`s for them, no bloody messing about !!

I plan on recoiling the lemo i have got now, as it just takes to long to heat up, then goes off with a big bloody `POP` when it first fires.

Nope, the whole thing only took about 15 minutes including rinsing and drying it before and after. Some 120 and 180 grit sandpaper did the job fine.

My veritas clone from FT only properly leaks if I overfill it and tip it the wrong way which is my fault. But as I prefer to take the whole cap off to drip over time doing that over and over drives a tiny bit of juice down the sides and onto the Base near the 510. I suspect if you just removed the drip tip to drip that wouldn't be an issue. I should just do that [emoji23]

This hobo seems even better than that as the airflow is up top and the inner barrel threads down (with an o ring at the bottom of the threads like a kayfun). So far not a single drop out of place although I've only used it properly this evening.

Most drippers with airflow down low like my mephisto or quasar eventually leak some out the airflow I've found so I always find myself reaching for the veritas or now the hobo I expect.

Talking about RY, I have two new ones from the Indigo range here to try: RY, and Eastwood, plus the Naturally RY (NET) is on the way from Indigo direct.
I also have some ready to try now from Heathers, and it smells lovely!: Heavenly which is an RY4 (not to be confused with Heavenly Army which is a NET RY)

All i know trish is that PG is the flavour carrier, so reduce that and you reduce flavour :) I should have remembered that before i ordered at high VG  Never mind though, i`ve nearly finished the 20 ml i bought !

The average 20% in the flavouring is as much as I can cope with :(
I loved the QOP and could taste every flavour in it too! Cleverly layered. Shame about the blackcurrant choking me!

Interestingly, the Rebranded Range seems to have quite low percentages recommended.

I find that as well, at higher watts (maybe 20 and up) the first couple of seconds if you haven't vaped it for a while not much really happens then pop it explodes into action.

After that pop though I get big clouds and monster throat hit, sometimes too much throat hit for me.

I'm waiting for the thicker ni200 wire to arrive to re coil mine, see what it's like with a temp controlled micro coil.

Passengers doing my head in today, I've been on Manchester runs - always leaves me in a bad mood

If the FT Lemo doesn't move in a day or two, I'll open a ticket and get a firm postage date from them.

Gives you a shock sometime when you get the POP doesn't it

I'll be sorting out my Lemo on Friday mate. No way I'm doing any overtime this weekend. It's going to be the busiest time on the buses this weekend, I plan to do my bit by staying at home

That's a great result then Adam :D

The drippers I've got are all push-fit style. So they tend to leak at the base. My Mephisto has been the best so far, with it's deep well. But I'm the same as you, I tend to overfill them and then it's all downhill from there
