No harm in that. It blinks like 15 times as soon as you hit it when it needs a charge. ;)

But if you ever run into one where all indications say it's charged (blue/green light on the charger, LED off on the batt) and it still blinks like it needs a charge, try swabbing the batt and charger posts with rubbing alcohol to get rid of liquid film, then try charging it again.

Your stuff is really new so I didn't even think to mention this, but you might as well go through the whole cleaning process.
On the batt: run a toothpick around the groove between the post and the threads (better if you wrap the toothpick with an alcohol wipe first). On the sides at the threads, there are two little air holes. Poke those with a pin (I don't like to use toothpicks on these because the point might break off and obstruct the holes). While you're in there, wiggle the pin a little and see if you can feel for the other air holes on the post. Try to poke those too. Airflow is really important to these things, and somehow even affects charging. ;)
