Anyone tried CigStar?

Hi, I'm new here, and about to try e-smoking as an alternative to roll-ups. I've been looking around, and after looking at the rather expensive SuperSmoker, I came across CigStar. Has anyone tried them?

I'd prefer to buy e-cigs from a UK supplier, rather than from Europe or China, mainly because I can phone them and ask questions (or complain!). Hopefully they'll enable me to get rid of this permanent cough and generally make me a nicer person to be around!

dunno about cigstar, but ive bought from an english fella on ebay-pillbox38.he has the same or a similar model cheaper and with more cartridges.hes a helpful guy, has good customer service, and will answer your queries and deal with problems.ultimately its up to you to decide tho.i just recommend him from my personal experience so far.

Thanks for the comments, Mr Darcy, much appreciated. I've placed an order for a Super Mini e-cig kit with pillbox38, although due to this being a bank holiday weekend in the UK, it probably won't arrive until the end of the week.

I decided not to order from one company I spoke to because the guy was very vague about the supply of cartridges, and when I asked him about the taste, he said he'd tried them but because he's 17, he didn't smoke! They might be OK but I didn't get a good feeling about buying from them.

I thought I'd give the 10cm Super a fair trial before replying and, I'm glad to say, it's a favourable report! I've never owned an e-cig before, so of course I've got nothing to compare it to, but these are my impressions.

When it arrived, and I fired it up for the first time, I honestly hated it and thought I'd just chucked away 35 quid. However, it didn't take too much getting used to, and now I love it. I've still got some baccy and straights left (cos I'm too tight to chuck them out!), and I occasionally try one, and I don't miss the tobacco at all.

I'm still getting used to the routine of an e-cig, I tend to hang on to it and keep dragging, but that's no problem because I'm using the low strength cartridges. One thing I've noticed is that I have to pull quite hard on it after the initial freshness of a cartridge has worn off which makes the facial muscles ache a bit. I haven't had to replace the atomiser yet so maybe that's due soon - how will I know when it's due for replacement?

In terms of cost, I'm a heavy smoker, and it's costing me about the same. I was smoking 'loose' tobacco, suitable for hand rolling, but with a lower rate of tax here in the UK - possibly the cheapest form of smoking bar stealing it or growing your own!

The benefits are obvious, my rather bad cough disappeared within a couple of days, and I can walk briskly without puffing anywhere near as much. The lack of ash trays and the absence of a constantly smoky atmosphere in the house and car are also a huge bonus. I've used my e-cig in a couple of pubs and in motorway services although, much to my annoyance, I've not been challenged yet!... plenty of time for that I guess :)

I can heartily recommend pillbox38, his service is very good and he's a friendly guy, and he also launched his website a little while ago.

I've had my e-cig for about a day and a half now and at first I didn't think I would like it either. The tast made me a little sick. Say you get really really drunk off tequila one night to the point of being sick... The next morning open a bottle of tequila and smell it. THAT's the feeling I got the first half a day I used this thing. But now (shortly after) that has gone away and I'm really enjoying it.

Hey guys

Talking of CigStar - I just purchased one last week after a friendly and infomative chat with the owner and it arrived next day. The problem I had was the one I purchased from Pillbox after reading this conversation wouldn't charge and the guy was reluctant to offer me any help! The CigStar seems to work very well with a longer battery life than my old one and the taste seems nicer.

I'd reccommend CigStar to anyone looking for a decent E-Cig. All credit to CigStar!

Hope that helped!
