I can't till later in the week: I'm on buying hiatus until at LEAST tomorrow (I break even tomorrow!!!). My birthday is the next week though, and it's already been well discussed that anything bought as a gift doesn't actually count as a vaping "expense" ;)

Hmmm.......you obviously need a lesson in rationalization from a retired finance executive.

If you buy it today at the same price you would pay if you bought it later, your new post-purchase break-even date would be exactly the same.

But you can buy it today on sale which means your new post-purchase break-even date would be earlier than if you bought it when it's not on sale.

As a bonus, you can add a second item next week and declare it your birthday present which doesn't count towards your vaping expense.

Because the first item was picked up at a discount, and the second one isn't counted, you now have 2 for less than the price of one. It would obviously be an unnecessary waste of resources to not take advantage of the opportunity to make the purchase.

And selling that type of concept to the Board is how I managed to retire at age 55 :D:D:D

I LURVE IT!!!

But I believe the code is good until Thursday, which means I can get both the VV and the birthday present at the reduced cost. Is that two for less than the price of half of one, or am I confused by cough medicine math?

Depends on how you "sell it" to your significant other (and yourself). Apply the savings from the total order only against the purchase that counts as vaping expense and that item is now at roughly half-off. So........2 for the price of a bit more than half of one.

You've learned well, grasshopper.......

Pictures, please!

We all jump in on each other's conversations, by the way. How else do we get to know each other?

As requested:

Sorry they're so large, I'm still trying to figure my way around here. And they aren't great quality pics, I just snapped them with my cell.

And thanks again for making me feel so welcome!

When the student is ready, the teacher appears :D

I'm lucky when it comes to expense tracking. Husband and I each have an allowance that is ours to do with as we see fit, so the only person I have to convince is myself.

Thanks redfern! It's really the hubby's thing more than mine ... So the little 20 gallon is my tank and the monster 117 with the custom stand is his but he does most of the daily maintenance on both. I'll tell you, it sure makes it easier for me to rationalize my new obsession with vaping and all the devices I want and juices I'm ordering ... He's spent an astounding amount of money on our tanks so really my vaping hobby is going to be a drop in the bucket. Plus, since we both quite analogs and took up vaping, we're "sharing" the hobby just like with the tanks, only this is more my thing than his.

Very nice job on the tanks -- you and your husband absolutely know what you're doing! On the plus side for me, I can stop digging through my back-up discs looking for the pics of my tank because there is no way that I'm going to embarass myself after seeing what you've done. Your work is beautiful, thank you for sharing!
