Thats a great pic!
I haven't killed a bug in years. I'm reformed. Killed thousands as a kid. But now I catch and release. Easier said then done when giant wolf spiders enter the no-kill equation. Spiders freak me out! I capture them using a coffee can and a piece of copy paper. Can on top, then carefully slide the paper under the can (and Mr. Wolfy too) then slip a stiff piece of card stock like a cut square from a cereal box or thin card board under the paper. I'm not preaching, just testifyin!

I do the same thing. It's funny because I can remember a science teacher saying the only reason we hate spiders so much is because they are "ugly" They illogically frighten us but do so much more good than harm. But because we are frightened, we kill them. When I thought about it, it made a lot of
sense but my view didn't really change a lot until I watched a spider spin a web.
It was on our front porch and I could watch it
through the window. Day after day it would come back and re-spin it cause The Bitc* From Hel* (also known as my step mother) would knock it down. For one thing, it truly was a thing of beauty to watch the web being created. The way it would spin it was fascinating. But I also came to respect it's tenacity.
