I loaned out my Apollo Superior and just got it back.
I am loving this thing. I think I'll loan out something else the next time.

Most folks know I'm a plain vanilla guy -- no VV or VW -- just 900mah eGo batts with Mini Vivis, CE5s, and single coil cartos. I stick with that setup because it works for me and makes me happy.

The Apollo eGo's that they have with the Superior really look sharp -- I'm lovin' the Royal Blue a lot!

I like that "plain vanilla guy".
I do like VV for certain liquid because you can really adjust to bring out the flavor. Im only eyeballing the ego variable voltage because of the passthrough feature. I would say 60% of my vaping is done infront of a pc.

I still have some issues I need to get over on passthrough devices. Don't feel comfortable using a PC's USB's port -- only needs one minor slip during the battery mfr's quality control process and you have a rather expensive problem with a fried port or motherboard. Using the wall-wart would resolve that, but darned inconvenient for me due to the way my office is set up. Have other concerns after reading some unpleasant threads where people find out too late that they don't have a true pass-through and usage acts as a pseudo recharge cycle yielding premature death of the battery. Think I need to wait until the technology matures a bit more and there is a clearer distinction between manufacturers with a dependable high-quality passthrough versus those that do not.

What I would do is stick with a powered usb port hub/adapter. This way if I fry the usb adapter im out $10 max and its not even hooked to the pc. I would never hook one to my computer.

Agreed, but it's a bit difficult for me to do. The outlet and power strip servicing all the crap on my desk is full up. Even if it wasn't, I don't want to be crawling around under and behind the desk every time the USB wiggles loose from the adapter -- and damned if they don't do just that at the most inconvenient times! Plus plus plus, and and and, Carol would fry me if I had an extension cord across the room for the sake of the adapter (she's funny that way).

I can understand that completely. At work I have 2 four outlet hookups on the wall so I have that covered and at home I have a very nice setup for my saltwater aquarium thats next to my desk. I can free up an outlet on one of my devices that are just sitting idle anyways.

Hello all!

I have to start off by admitting I only came to this thread because I saw the word Prize. But because of this thread I've now visited the website ... And I'm in the comparison process of deciding what my next device will be so I'm going to include Apollo on my list ... plus I'm always looking to try a new RY4; that'll be ordered this week. :)

Thanks for the giveaway and for catching my eye!

.........and at home I have a very nice setup for my saltwater aquarium thats next to my desk.....

Okay, totally envious.

I had a 55 gallon saltwater rig when we lived in California, gave it to my son to use when we moved to Canada with an understanding it would be returned to me after we came back to the States. We drove out to visit him and his miserable-unpleasant-nasty-mean-pain-in-the-... wife (but that's a story for another day when I'll tell you how I really feel about her) and found that the tank was cracked, pumps and filters were shot, wood display stand was stained, hood and light fixtures missing, with next to nothing salvageable.

Came home ......, was even more so after finding out what it would cost to buy a new setup, and so have done without.

I need to dig through my files, see if I have any presentable pictures that I can share.

Wow, I wouldve exploded but I have anger issues. Mine is a fledgling tank as I have only had it setup for less than a year. Its been a learning experience but I do have to say all I have lost is some snails and a clown fish. Snails because I bought them from the LFS and they dont exactly do a good job of taking care of things. The clown fish i have never really figured out why he passed on as all my conditions were correct.
I have way to much money into this and could always put alot more into it, as you know, but have curbed my upgrades right now.
