All of the billion reviews and multiple names for the same variable voltage APVs....I'm completely lost.

SO! I'm going to tell you what I'd like out of a VV APV and y'all can tell me if it exists (in exchange.....y'all don't have to answer a million and one questions!):

- Usable with 2.4-2.8 ohm clearomizers
- Non-fussy. I don't want to have to adjust the thing every 5 minutes. If I find a level I like with that liquid, I don't want to have to touch it again until I change liquids.
- Small incremental increases/decreases in volts (like, no 3.2V to 3.7V to 4.2V like some of the eGo VVs)
- Decent safety features so it won't blow up in my face (not looking for Darwin standards, since clearly the ability get a hold of one is about as likely as catching a unicorn)
- 510 connection, don't really care much about anything other than it has to work with my Vivi novas and the CE3/Phoenix bottom-coil clearos.
- Must come in stainless steel or incredibly durable paint (I tend to pick at paint...)
- Decent warranty, prefer minimum of 6 months
- Nothing that looks like a box. Or is wooden. Or has sparkley GIFs on the website.
- Not longer than an 1000mAh eGo battery (~4.5")
- Would REALLY prefer a full kit cost less than $150 (batteries, chargers, the whole shebang), but not a big deal if it meets the other criteria exactly.

I'm not a big 'dropper' nor do I throw my PV at the bottom of a purse (I only have a wallet).

Help? Please?

Variable wattage. If you're looking for a fidget-free solution, the Darwin offers adjustability and consistency. Size is comparable to a 1000mah ego, but form is iffy to some.

If I could get my hands on a Darwin, I wouldn't have needed to post this. :)

I don't regret spending the money on my vmax. It just is not fool proof. Voltage is way way way different than on my twist. I got the ones that really do twist. I'm about to decide if I really want to drop the cash on a provari. But since seeing your thread I'm gonna be looking into the versa and Darwin? Or am I just being mislead. Either way don't have anything else to do but vape.

Well, people can recommend the Darwin all day long, but the likelihood of getting your hands on one is slim, unfortunately. I've kept cash on hand specifically for the Darwin in the event they release more, but it hasn't happened. :(

So far, the Versa and ProVari are the only ones that seem to be viable options.

What about a vmax or zmax? I haven't used them but they are cheaper(less than $100) and people who own them seem to love them. I have a provari mini in satin black. The finish is cerakote, I believe its spelled. It won't chip, you won't be able to pick it away lol. You can put an extension cap on it if you need longer battery life, but even in standard-size mode with 18350 batteries, they last me 1-1.5 days. If you don't go for different color body or LED, you can save a few bucks. I love mine, and am glad I bought it. I know it will last damn near forever, its built well and feels solid. It has a nice, heavy weight to it, and provape supposedly has great customer service. I haven't had to deal with them though.

I don't know if it means anything to you, but the Versa has a 2.5 amp limit, the Provari a 3.5 amp limit. The Versa is recommended to not use ultra-low resistance cartomizers.

Provari has Acu-set technology, giving you the same voltage you set for the life of the battery, so your last vape will be as good as the first. Proven durability, consistancy, and customer suport post warranty.

I am fixing to order this one - older model - but if it works - 40 bucks well spent......

Variable Voltage MyGo Electronic Cigarette
i bought two of these kits, version 2 is a better deal. only ten bucks more. i think they are young june models. they have all the same specs. could be a knockoff, don't really know. anyway, one of the tubes, the button was funky when i got it, lasted 2 days, wouldn't fire anymore. i asked if it had a warranty. they said no, but if i sent it back, they would determine if it was a manufacturer defect. if it was, they would replace it. still awaiting reply. i sent it back about 4 days ago. should hear anytime now. on the 2nd one, the 510 connection started to come loose. i wrote about it on this forum, and everybody said to send it back. i really didn't want to do that, so i took a 31 gauge hypodermic needle and injected superglue in the crevice. seems to work so far. you do get a lot of stuff in the kit. charger is kind of cheap, but works ok. batteries seem ok too. got a vivanova set with it also, and some juice and a case, both very nice. it you get good tubes, it is a hellava good deal. good luck

I know there is better out there I still want a provari and always will until I hit the buy button. But until then my VERSA is proving to be a excellent buy. The fit and finish is excellent, the button is nice and clickie and the paint job is just awesome each time you look at it, it changes colors. I'm not saying it's the end all be all but it is pretty cool and I love the one button on top, makes it great for a pocket or purse.
