Has anyone had success in stopping the Aqua clone from leaking?

I've watched all the youtube videos on top filling and I can't get it to stop leaking

I found one video that showed a bottom fill method. I tried it and it seemed to work...until I adjusted the airflow. Then it leaked.

I'm at wit's end with this rba and close to tossing it in the garbage bin

If anyone's knows how to stop the Aqua from leaking I'd be highly appeciative of any advice

What type of wick are you using?

I ask this because: It appears as if many of those who top-fill with the air flow OPEN are using cotton wicks that are stuffed completely into the vertical juice channels (and some even down into the horizontals as well). And when those channels are 'blocked' like that, it is difficult to force juice into the air passages while you're filling it. I use ceramic wicks, which do not swell like cotton does, so I must close the air flow when I top-fill in order to maintain a stable air bubble inside the bottom airways. And then, just as is most of the videos, I partially thread on the top cap, flip, finish threading the top cap, open the air flow, then flip back upright. I still get flooding sometimes, but I think it has more to do with how un-stuffed my channels are -- which lately is quite un-stuffed now that I've got 2mm ceramic in there instead of the 3mm that I was using previously.

so when you did the standard top filling you got leakage from the air holes right? then after trying the bottom fill method it worked but then as you adjusted the airflow it started leaking from the airholes? although I don't own a clone my authentic aqua did have leaking issues by top filling but when I did go to the bottom method it completely stopped and have had no issues since. what I do is for one just make sure the juice control isn't completely closed tight before attempting to unscrew bottom(because the whole drip tip and chimney will break seal and come out with the deck. so for me that is the only prerequisite before attempting to bottom fill. now once I unscrew bottom, fill back up and re screw back the bottom I stop at my desired air flow distance, this way I never have to adjust it anymore. I have found that my desired airflow is about 3/4 of the holes exposed, that never changes for me and I never mess with it once its in that position so as I screw back in the bottom tank section I stop at that position and never change it until the next time I re screw. so if you just stopped at your desired distance as you re screw in the bottom section will it then not leak?
