Hubby has an 801 Penstyle from myvaporstore(they are great) along with a supply of atomizers and batteries. We have a supply of 801 carts from another supplier and the carts do not fit correctly into two of the atomizers we have. Clearly, the atomizers we have from the same supplier are different. Can we buy any 801 atomizer(or battery) from any supplier? Will they fit? This can be so confusing but I know I can come here and get an answer. You all are terrific.

An 801 is an 801. The carts and atomizers should fit and be usable from any supplier. If they are not, then you better get in touch with your supplier and ask for a refund.

Being new, you should consider getting a USB passthrough, a USB wall plug and 1000mAh power pack for your 801 for better performance. I am assuming you bought liquid and are not just using pre-filled carts.

You should also consider a screwdriver for the best performing PV.

- The ScrewDriver - An electronic cigarette that simply works

PS: you can email trog and get an 801 adapter for the screwdriver.

I don't think he's selling the adapters any more. There have been a lot of damaged SD's being sent back to him for repair and the conclusion is some of the 801 atomizers people are trying to use are causing the circuit board at the end of the SD to melt. It works flawlessly with the 901 atomizer any way.

I had the same problem. I have carts from one supplier and an atomizer from another supplier. I found out that some of the hard mouth piece cartriges do not fit flush on some of the other atomizers from another supplier. The supplier offered to send me some of his cartridges but the reason I was sticking with one style of ecig was so I wouldn't have to order all different parts and styles. Now I have to order Rubber mouth pc cartridges for one of my atomizers and the hard mouth pcs for another atomizer and they are all suppose to be the pen style 801.

If it is a penstyle just pop the white part of the cart off the mouth piece and use the old mouth piece. They just pop on and off. Thats what I done when I got some that were a little to big.The carts would go in but I had trouble getting them out.

You can put your mouth pieces in some bleach water for a few minutes to sanitize them or vinagar.

just for reference , ....

an 801 atomizer will work on an 801 battery and an RN-4072 battery (the other penstyle that looks EXACTLY the same

and RN-4072 atomizer will NOT work on an 801 battery , the connection on an 801 battery is to low to make contact..

RN-4072 carts will not work in an 801 atomizer
and 801 carts will kind of work in an RN-4072 atomizer

the problem is the 801 atomzier is more narrow at the point where the cart goes and the RN-4072 carts are a touch to wide

the problem is most people don't know which model they have , and it doesn't help when certain vendors label their pensyle as a Dse-801/RN-4072 because they are not completely compatible

For me, the culprit was the actual adapter itself, not the 801 atomizer. I managed to kill two SDs before we figured out the problem. (Trog couldn't have been more helpful. I shipped back my SDs, and he repaired them and mailed them back within 24 hours of receipt.) In any event, I think you're right--I doubt Trog will be selling adapters any more . . . he hated the idea to begin with, and I guess he was right. :)
