I've now seen and heard many people talk about their 510s and some seem to have endless problems with them or having to replace the batts and attys within a couple of weeks or producing weak vapor/taste...
And then the other 50% of 510 owners say they absolutely LOVE their 510s, that they produce monster vapor and/or that they've been using the original batts and attys for 2 months and they're still going strong...
So, my question is:
Are all the parts the same just in different colors and packaging, or are there different manufacturers with slightly different hardware?
Also, could some of you 510 owners tell me where you purchased yours? I'm looking to get another kit and I would prefer it to not be a dud. Thanks!

Ive been useing two attys and 4 batteries, going on day 76,still going strong.

Best place to get a kit would be cignot if in stock.next would be rocky mountain vapor(free shipping).

I have also been very happy with health cabin but delivery times vary due to customs.I have received orders in as little as 5 days and as long as 14 day due to us customs.

As far as I know all the 510 items are made in china. With that said, yes there probably IS more than 1 factory making them as china has less than strict copyright laws (or enforcement perhaps?) As far as ensuring you only buy from 1, would haveto either buy direct from ruyan etc, or ensure you know whom your supplier is buying from.

To me, a battery is a battery, it will wear out eventually so to me is semi disposable. No problems on the 4 we have for the past 3 weeks other than wishing they lasted longer but what can I realisticly expect from such a tiny device you know. We have since ordered 2 protoge's, bigger battery = longer time between battery swaps.

On to attomizers: they are a disposable product. Not all are created equally (even from same manufacturer) Some people are either luckier than others, or use thiers differently ( read less abuse ) than others. The best thing I can say is to do what you have done, and solicit advice from people who have been using them longer than I in the hopes of finding a vendor who's atomizers will last longer or perform better than the ones you have issues with now.

Suggestion, buy 5 packs (cheaper) if you get a week out of 1 attomizer, be happy. If you get more, be happier. If you get one that fails first day, use another and be happy :) (the alternative is to try to fix it, and or be frustrated) Depending on vendor, some may replace one thats bad out of the box, others may not.

The alternative if the 510 simply is too troublesome or finicky for you is to try out a 2 piece cartomizer system, aka vapor king etc. IMHO people could use them with just prefilled carts and likely not spend more money than they did on analogs. You would have a fresh atomizer on each cart this way also. if you elect to refill them, you will end up in the scenario above eventually with a cartomizer also, they do go bad soon or late.

I hope this helps a bit, and you find something that works for you.

No, they're not all the same. Joye is the "official" maker, but lots of companies do knockoffs.

Not all the knockoffs are equal, either. Some may be better (TW's "mega" battery gets rave reviews), others maybe not so much (I'm less than thrilled with my Bestecig BE510 attys and batteries, although they're a good company otherwise).

But I suspect some of people's responses may be a question of expectations -- like when you go to see a really great movie after being told it's really great, and because your hopes were so high you end up being a little disappointed.

I suspect if my first 510 was the BE model I'd still be pretty happy to get a nicotine hit without any tar. But if I'd gotten my Joye 510 after hearing raves about its throat hit and vapor, I might be a bit underwhelmed by the reality.

While browsing for suppliers i've seen 5 or 6 manufacturers of 510 copycats. Not sure how it plays out for product quality. Maybe they're all about equal and some people just have some bad luck, bad parts like it can happen for everything, or maybe some factories are truly less reliable, i have no idea.
