What kind of battery do you have right now? Some of them are interchangeable, and some are not. An ego has two types of threads: a 510 connection that will fit most clearomizers and RBA's as well as some cartomizers, and an "eGo cone threading" that will fit other types of mini-clearomizers. If you have a little cig-a-like battery, it might use 510-threaded cartos, or it might use something else like 808. Find out what kind you have, and if it's not 510-threaded, you can probably find an adapter. Or, it might use a proprietary connection that's not compatible with any standard thread on the market. In that case, you probably won't be able to use your existing carts with the new battery, and would have to upgrade both halves at the same time.

I began with a company I was really happy with... As I vape more, want more, save more $, interchange more.... Are ALL BDC coils the SAME (most companies will and have told me "we're only familiar with our hardware". I have 2 BDC glass tanks (up from starter kit plastic)... Like clean taste. I have a basic VV battery from that same company as well as 2 650 mah batteries that I fill, fully charged, which last me min through the work day and I vape pretty much constantly (not in Session with a client), but doing paperwork, etc. Also working on PhD so I'm staring at that computer screen for MANY MANY hours at night, if not through the... (Better than chain smoking cigs that I put down 5mos ago after 20+ years at a pack a day:) night... I want to purchase liquid from another vendor, as the selection isn't HUGE where I began to shop. I'm wondering if I can order BDC coils and another BDC glass tank from this other company as well or will it just be a waste...????

510 ego thread would be the way to go. The other is 808 ego thread which is what I used for a long time but all the new stuff I want is in 510 so all the old is about to be useless on the new. The only thing I can say is there is a ton of junk batteries and tanks available for 510 egos but I found that at least from the two companies I ordered from the 808 egos and tanks were always of good quality. Not saying there isn't good stuff for the 510 just that basically there are a lot of poor quality knock offs for it.

I love my Ego's. just like many folks have told you, the Ego's have a 510 thread which the tank attaches to. The outer thread, which makes the attachment look nice is what they call the "Ego thread". As far as I know, the 510 thread is pretty much the industry standard. If the threads happen to be different, they now make adapters. If you have the luxury of a local vape shop, they should be able to help. Best of luck!
