Are Atomizerse for manual batteries different?

I've made a few mods based around an atty that came with an auto battery. As I'm sure everyone knows, auto batteries have a hole in the center of the terminal for airflow. My question is, are atomizers that are meant to be used with manual batteries designed different?

If you plug the hole in the battery, then you cannot get any airflow through the atomizer. So I'm really trying to figure out how attys work with manual batteries. Anyone care to explain?

Atomizers are the same regardless of whether they're being used with an automatic or manual battery. They have either vents or holes to allow air to move through the atomizer. The only reason that automatic batteries have a hole is to allow the vacuum inside to activate when you suck on it.

It's doesn't matter, manual batteries and auto batteries use same atomizers.
