Been using evods rebuilt with cotton for a few months. Buying a bunch of new stuff soon. I was pretty set on getting 2 itaste vv v3s and mini protank 2s. but, i just read a few things with people saying stuff like rba>Carto>Clearo>...

Was thinking about trying the mini 3ml smok DCT v2 (with 2.0 ohm single coil cartos)

Have clearos caught up to cartos?

How many pre cut holes for 50/50 juice?

I've been vaping on a few Aspire BDC mini nova tanks tonight and they are very impressive. Great flavor, rebuildable with new heads, and they wick very well even on 100% VG juice. They are basically a hybrid carto/clearomizer IMO, but they work very well. I'm using ones I got from nhaler.com, for what it's worth.

I occasionally use and enjoy carto tanks. However they seem to pick the worst times to suddenly start leaking or stop up or just pop a coil. So for out and about I generally have a BCC T3/mini, Evod, Protank2, etc. I also enjoy flipping flavors often and the clearo's are smaller and easier to haul around.
Now I have moved on the the Ithaka style tanks. A little more setup work, but OMG the difference in enjoyable vaping.:)

I tried just about all the clearos that were out a couple of months ago, and finally settled into cartotanks and really like them.

Now, I have not tried the aspire's as they came out after I switched to carto tanks, but I also have no desire to try them, as I am that happy with my carto tanks. I dont even have a desire to try an RBA. I had all the 'rebuilding' I cared to have with an RDA and repeated attempts to get the protank heads to work well.

IOW, my search for my juice delivery device ended with carto tanks. Now I am now just getting more carto tanks. lol Oh, and mods. You can never have enough of those. hahaha It is nice now just buying stuff that I want, instead of constantly trying to find something I like.

I can get a decent amount of time vaping on a Hypertank clearo but I haven't had much luck with others. Well, other than an evod but those are too small to want to jack around with filling and refilling all the time, anyway.

I've pretty much given up on Protanks. I hate that you have to keep them filled so far or they start giving you fits. At least with a Hypertank you can take it down to the bottom like with a cartotank.

I wonder why yours are leaking. The last leak I had on a carto tank was in my first month out here. I do use clearos only on my hands free devices and those get messy for me.

If I end up not liking the hypertank it is your fault. :p

Hey, "taste is subjective" :p LOL

They ARE heavy so you should know that beforehand. I like them but not everyone wants a tank this solid. They use Protank bottom coils so pick the right ohms for your device when you buy replacement heads. A tank comes with two heads to start, one over 2 and I don't remember the other, either. I just know the 2 one works longer...lol (ProVaris do very well over 2 ohms coilwise)

The link I gave you is probably one of the best prices out there and the store is local(ish) to me. They've treated me very well in my many dealings with them. No, I do NOT get commissions or discounts for referring people...lol

I stepped on one of the evods that I had...not on accident. (No I don't have an anger issue. I only throw Provari when I see eRoll posts). Since I decided to step on an evod does that have any bearing on if I would like or dislike the HyperTank?

You might hurt your foot, actually...lol

I'm sure you can break one, of course, but they're built pretty well for what they are. I'm not claiming they're the ProVari of clearomizers, okay? lol

What I meant was I stepped on the Evod because I didn't want to use it anymore. I thought I read over there it used a coil from an Evod. How different is it in operation?

I don't actually KNOW why it works better. It uses the same bottom coils as the Protank and Evod but works better. I have 3 of them and the case is the same in all of them.

Of course they eventually have the usual issues with flooding and stuff when the coil gets used a bit, but the design of the tank itself or the bottom that the coil fits into somehow makes a difference although I'm sure I can't figure out why that should be.

Really. I simply don't know. I just know they work for me.

That's not helpful, is it? lol

I vape 5 to 6 ml a day and haven't found a clearo yet, top or bottom coil, that can keep up. MAP tank, T3, PT2 that I bought and others at the vape shop, I hate dry hits! Using Boge cartos the only leaking I've had was in unpressurized aircraft. As you go up the air pressure goes down so the higher pressure air in the carto tank forces the juice out. The filler in the Boge cartos is pretty dense (that's a good thing) but works with any PG/VG ratio I've used. Do the thermometer shake to prefill. I keep going back to my tried and true carto tanks.

It was not helpful but it was not harmful. :p

The reply you gave is more than acceptable.

The ones that bug me are the ones say "This is the best there is the best there will every be and no I have only tried one other device in it's class".

"I like it but I don't know why" is always an acceptable answer.

Even if it is not helpful. :2cool:

I don't know if this thread is helping you any. As you can see there are those that think carto's are fantastic. Some people that I think have good taste like some clearos. You probably saw the post where I said I stepped on an evod, well....I didn't want to use it anymore so I stepped on it. Some have mentioned clearos they like. Zoe could not give me a helpful answer as to why. :p

The people at least in here are not making huge claims as something being the best. (unlike the eRoll fans):p

Your mileage will vary but they can take my carto tanks when they pry them from my cold dead fingers. :)
