Are Riva 650 mah batts regulated for a solid draw throughout batt usage?

I have been trying to make sense of what a "regulated" battery is. To my understanding, It means that the voltage will remain pretty steady throughout usage. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I currently have been using an eGo 900 mah, and I have found this to be the case. I don't have a volt meter, but the draw seems to be consistent from start to finsh.

I have an opportunity to get some Riva 650 mah batts at a good price in the classified section, just looking for some spare batts. They are 3.7v. What does this mean compared to my eGo? Are Riva batts regulated or do they decrease in performance as the batt is being used?

I have read for hours, and I still have no clearcut answer. I apologize because I know this has been covered to death. I'm just looking for a clearcut answer.

i know the ones i have are they are consistent throughout my use they're not 3.7v though the only older ones that were 3.7v are the 510 se models, the new rivas are 750 mah 3.7v and im pretty sure they're unregulated so they're 4.2 off the charger then 3.7 untill the batteries almost dead and it will drop down a little. i prefer it that way personally so i know when to put it on the charger without completely killing the battery and putting more stress on it..

Problem is, the people who make these batteries don't say much about the technicals on them. I would assume the Rivas are regulated similarly to the eGos, but I wouldn't know for sure myself. As far as the eGos, they're regulated in a way (PWM) that makes measuring the voltage erroneous by sticking the probes of a cheap DMM on the contacts and pressing the button. To get an accurate reading, you need to measure them with a a more expensive RMS meter under load. It's around 3.5V.

You are correct on what regulated is and every Ego that I'm aware of is regulated although under 3.7v.

The only Riva I know positively is unregulated is the Riva SE which will drop off as the battery is depleted but still remain at or above the voltage on the regulated ones when it's time to charge.

I've heard recently that other Rivas besides the SE are unregulated but I haven't seen or used one. If you're unsure it would be best to contact the seller before you buy to make sure you're getting what you want.
