Are the Pro Tank 2/EVOD heads better than the T3 heads????

I was never a fan of the T3. I used the Smokeless Image version and never liked it. Always a leaker. This has pretty much kept me away from any other Kanger bc. But I am really tired of the miserable battery life I am getting from dual coil. So I am thinking about trying the single coil bc Kangers. Either the PT2 or the EVOD. Are these plagued with leaks like the T3 heads??? I now some people love the T3. But I know from reading that I am far from the only person that hated them and had miserable luck with them.

My solution is replace the flavor wicks with cotton when it leaks. I use cotton balls, roll it out so you have small string and trim as its just sticks out a little bit.
You can also use peaches and cream yarn from wally world or sugar and cream yarn from your local craft store.

Cheers

I've never really dug into any heads. Is a flavor wick a non coiled wick that sits above the coiled wick??? The one I see many people removing in the first place??? So why do some people replace it with cotton and other totally remove them???? I just want reliability without leaking or gurgling. The T3 were a nightmare for me on everything but a few light colored thin juices. Even then they were not perfect.

Other option I see all the time is an Aerotank. Protank 2 + airflow controller if you want single coil for battery life.

The airflow controller seals the battery contact and having the airflow control allows you to adjust it for what you want. If it starts flooding the coil every so often just open the holes wide open for a couple of hits. No leaking issues that way unless you lose an o-ring or break the glass.

I've been using EVODS and a n itaste VV since XMas w/ no issues. When I start to lose flavor or vapor, I rinse/replace the wick with organic cotton. That usually gets me through the week. I've recently gotten into rebuilding them! I'm going to get a mini Protank soon. I love that they take the same heads!

I like the look of the T3s, but I've just heard too much leaky business!

I've never had leaking issues with EVOD's or T3S'. when I rebuild the head I always move the little rubber cap up the chimney a bit so it will seat firmly on the tube when reassembled. I also extend both my coil wick and flavor wick past the holes in the head and trim them flush to the body of the coil. I'm supposing that this keeps too much juice from entering the coil area and the snug chimney cap also stops leaking. This has been working well for me for six months now.

The Evods and T3's work great. I hate to see them disappear. It looks like Kanger is moving to dual coils for them too.

Everything is moving to dual coil. Looks like pretty soon the only single coil tank option will be a carto tank. That is where I'm prolly headed soon if these don't work for me.
