Are there any good bottom coil tanks out there?

What device are you using? Ego, Mechanical, APV?

I will assume ego.

Look into getting a Kanger Protank 2. Great vapor production, easy to clean, rebuildable and easy to find coils.
yeah, i have an ego. i'm not looking to get too fancy with a set up. i just want a solid tank. the crappy starter kit one came apart in my pocket which was a bit of a bummer.

I ordered a whole mess of bottom coils after I got my ego starter kit, but the tanks on those are cheap, crappy plastic. I also got an ARO tank but it started leaking the first time I used it. Any recommendations?

So the first question is what kind of bottom coils did you order? Who makes them? What kind of tank are they for?

What is your current tank? Is it an EVOD? If it is an EVOD, then the coils will work in the Protank 1 and 2, and the Protank Mini 1 & 2 as well as the EVOD.

We need more specifics to get you better answers!

they're smok tech coils. http://www.madvapes.com/smok-tech-replacement-bottom-coils.html i got the 1.8 ohm ones.
the tank is some generic clear plastic thing. i was just looking at Kanger EVOD BCC tanks and they're highly rated on a few sites i checked.
yeah, i'm super new to this wonderful world of future smoking.

As stated on the Mad Vapes product page for those SmokTech coils: "Not compatible with other manufacturers devices that use replaceable bottom coils"
Also:" These coils vape great and are versatile because they work with all Smok Tech bottom coil tanks and clearomizers including but not limitede to the ARO and Pyrex ARO, the Tumbler, the Trophy tank, the RBC, the NBC and the PBC."
Best to look at the Smok Tech items and try them.

actually, ARO coils are pretty good, some like them better than kanger coils. i have 2 glass ones, there OK.

kanger evods are cheap and provide lots of flavor for non-cracker juices:

Kanger Evod Rebuildable Clearomizer - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

kanger mini protank 2s are pretty good tanks, safe with all juices:

Mini Protank

Discount Vapers is a good place to get replacement coils:

ProTank Coil Replacements

i have 6 Aspire bdc w/ 3 on the way. DV is where i get my coils, also. these are big tanks, maybe they are too big for an ego. there are smaller size ones:

Aspire Vivi Nova-S BDC Glassomizer

Cheapish plastic and the same color all the way through that sounds like the smok tech RBC, not a bad tank but attachments and juices are subjective to the individual user. Looking for an upgrade that will use those coils and handle any juice you can put into them then the ARO glassomizer, step up from that which uses the Vision Aspire BDC coils, go with the Anyvape Davide Version 3, glass tank similar to the Protank 2 but uses the Aspire BDC coils is a win win =)

There's nothing full-proof or perfect, quality can vary from head to head and experiences vary but I'd have to recommend the Aspire ET-S for overall reliability and pretty good vape. Some people like the Vivi Nova versions of the Aspire. I only have the ET-S. Only get the glass versions, no need to save a couple of bucks for plastic.

Protanks are nice tanks, and when they're working they're a good vape. When they're working. You never know what's going to happen with a Protank. I only enjoy them with a well-rebuilt coil, which I think I've finally achieved.

I really like my Davide tank. It takes Kanger ProTank heads, but has a better draw, less gurgling, and for some reason more flavor. I rebuild the heads with a 7 wrap microcoil from 28ga kanthal wire, and rewick with boiled cotton balls.

I have a half dozen tanks around the house, but I always go back to my Davide.

+1 for the Davide. I use the Davide Mini on an ego battery. I like that you can change the drip tips on them too. The Davide has a glass tank so you don’t have to worry about the “tank cracker” juices. It completely disassembles for cleaning but be careful not to lose the gaskets when you do. It has ego threading. There is no one size fits all in vaping. What one person will kill for, another will gleefully malign on ECF, a third will put up with it as a backup and the fourth will use it for target practice. Good luck in your search and don’t settle for something you don’t like. All of us have left a trail of rubble in our wake. The good part is, what you don’t care for or outgrow, you can pass on to a new vaper later on.

Evod is my perfect tank, except for the need to constantly refill it, it just holds around 1.5ml. Aside from that, cheap, good vapor and taste. I tried cartos and vivis, evods and protank my favorite, until i try rebuidables.

this on will fit the heads and not be plastic

ARO Pyrex Bottom Coil Tank

That's the one I bought and sadly, it leaked and leaked worse than anything I've ever owned.

I rewicked it with 2.5mm silica and then 2 more strands of 1mm silica. Now it works.

Both the ARO and Protanks seem to suffer with too little wick i.m.o.

The best plastic tank I use is the Kanger T3S, like an evod only bigger and easier to see the juice level. I've had one constantly in use since August, not a leak ever and only a few gurgles when down to 1ml or less.
