Considering getting an aerotank and I noticed I see this pic:

and I've seen this one:

Are there two styles out there or is one newer than the other? And is it just cosmetic or other differences? I prefer the first one, but most seem to show the second one for the image they are selling.

And some say pt 2 coils work fine in this, others say you need to do the flip grommit trick. Wanted to confirm if it just works or need to do the trick. I realize I can buy a pt 2 and an air flow valve (which is actually cheaper) but it's nice if the aero does in fact work with both single and dual coils. And I really like the looks of the first image I linked so I'd prefer that over the pt 2.

Designs do change without warning? Pre production pic versus post production? And no the PT2 heads will not work in the Aerotank. Dual coil heads are made taller than single coil heads. The air tube is designed shorter dual coil heads. But the Aerotank base will fit previous versions of the Protank series...using each tanks respected coil heads that is!!

I don't think it's a pre/post thing as I've seen reviews with both, but some may have had access to a prototype. I'd like the first one if it's for sale but it seems it's the second one that sells online from what I've seen.

And it's confusing because in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/544703-aerotank-single-coil-airflow.html

Some say it works no problem or some say just add a flipped grommit . I would tend to agree with you and suspect that kanger changed the post length on purpose so you'd only use the newer coils but confused by various saying it does work but some saying it doesn't or some say with the trick it does.

looking at the pics some more, it's seem kind of strange in the top one how short the middle post is and the end part meets it in the middle so you have a fat part in the middle of the tank instead of at the bottom which doesn't match the picture on the box (and the box also shows two rings around the top end cap instead of the smooth finish.

Wow, they sure have taken their inspiration from somewhere ^

Can't think where though :D

Yeah, geez. At first I'm thinking, "oooooo, that looks nice... Hmmm...", but then I see the little coil head. "Nope." Why can't Kanger just make a decent budget RTA? I'd probably buy the $#!+ out of it.

I just saw the mega on their web site. And their is also going to be an aerotank mini. Both have a new air flow similar to nautilus and even newer dual coils. The mega is 3.8 mil and the mini is 1.3 mil. they should have updated the reg sized one as well. Now I may wait as this is out in april. I wonder if they'll still sell the air flow valve separately? Will single coil be able to be used. I want newer stuff if it has better features (which this does, like better air flow) but I don't really want to have to use dual coil. I know why they break backwards compatibility and sooner or later they'll probably want to kill the old single coil line, instead of letting them both co-exist in the their brand of products.
