I found this post by an ECF vetern with over 15,000 post. I think he knows what he is talking about.

"The Sanyo UR18500FK battery is a Li Ion battery, not the best suited battery chemistry for use with a Kick.

You will need an IMR battery. IMR is a high drain battery which will have the superior load current capacity to power a Kick. (Lithium Manganese, Li Mn chemistry) The best IMR battery for your use in that size battery will be the AW 18490/18500 IMR 1100mAh battery.

I agree with tmcase. Not a good choice.

After trying to find specs on these, they are obviously ICR chemistry. Protected or not seems to be in question, as is the 'authentic Sanyo' claim. Max discharge would seem to be less than what the kick module would require.

Using these would invalidate the warranty on your kick module, and be considered unsafe. Use a good IMR battery, as tmcase pointed out.

I agree with tmcase and LucentShadow. These are ICR batteries and I bet they are not protected or it would say that on the FT web page.

I think they're good for about 3 amp draw. I would not use these for any vape application. I'm not one to harp on about exploding batteries, but these are the ones that can explode.

Here's a list of safer chemistry batteries that will not vent with flame and so will not explode if shorted. I've bought batteries from Illumination Supply, RTDVapor and a couple of other shops that don't sell counterfeit batteries and had good experiences with them.

You didn't say how low you wanted to go with your coil resistances. Max amp output is what matters for this. From the chart, the AW 18490 is fantastic at 16.5A. It's good to around 0.4 ohms. The EH and the Efest at 8.8A down to around 0.7 ohms. All of them rate 1100 mAh, so there's no difference there.

When it comes to the 18490/18500 size cells combined with an Evolv Kick, Kick 2, or Artisan Crown, the best I've ever been able to get my hands on is this one:
AW IMR 18490 3.7v 1100mAh

I've also used the Efest 1100mah V2 button tops. They'll get the job done, but I got a little more vape time and quite a few more charge cycles off the AWs.

If you have a Kick 2 (up to 15 watts), I definitely recommend going for the AW brand.
