Hi there, based on some threads, I see everyone is stocking up. Therefore, I would like to know if we are done and if so when?

I guess if you cannot get any nic you really are done. Anyone have an answer to this question because I thought we had 2 years,
Everybody is stocking up "just in case". Nobody, including the FDA knows what is going to happen. It's a better safe than sorry scenario.

I think most of us "stocked up" because we won't be leaving our ability to vape now, and in the future,...in the hands of government. Better to take it upon ourselves and do what we have to now, to guarantee we can vape for as long as we've prepared ahead for it!

Besides, it's an investment, too. Anything, everything, that we buy now, will most likely cost more in the future...if it's even available at all later. For those things that possibly won't be readily available at all...we won't have to resort to trying to find them, and buy them, from who knows what kind of sources. I prefer to know what's in the eliquids I vape and under what conditions they were made. By making my own...I know exactly, without a doubt!

Nothing that any of us have stocked up on will go to waste. It can/will all be used I'm sure. What we don't use ourselves...will most likely be shared with friends and family who didn't/couldn't stock up, or who hits hard times in the future.

But, it's each person's decision whether to stock up for the future or not. I just prefer to be prepared now, no matter what happens with the FDA garbage, state laws, increased product costs, higher tax rates, etc. in the future.

My personal hope is that all our stocking up looks silly later on, as cooler heads prevail. I however am not counting on that as a plan for my vape survival. If everything goes well, I don't "need" anything for quite some time. If everything goes south I "probably" have until at least the end of the year to grab a few more items before a potential exists for some things to start disappearing. Nic, mods, and rda's have been my focus.

On the hunt for a high end mod or three and a couple more rda's. Another 1.5 liters of nic puts me at 10 liters. Everything now scratches a want and not a need

Truth is no one knows, and that's the way the FDA wants it.

I "stocked up" (ugh my stock is still pathetic) pre 8/8 thinking that would be a day that changed things. It did change things... just not as bad as I expected.

Personally I'm really glad I have another few months (12/31 next date for more regulations) to stock up more as I was definitely NOT finished. I'm not even sure I'll feel properly stocked by then if I think vaping is going away for good. Luckily I don't think it's going away for good, like someone said you can't uninvent e-cigs, but that doesn't mean we won't have a couple-few years without access to the same products we do today.

Also, if I wasn't so happy with the gear that's out today I wouldn't be as thrilled with stocking up. Glad this didn't happen before we got sub ohm gear.

One of the best reasons to stockpile is simply because we can. 100,000 mg of nic for $50? That is literally the deal of the century. In my state, Michigan, the cost is 30 cents per mg in the form of smoke from cigarettes (so $30,000 worth of nic in that bottle). It's a nice bonus that vaping nic instead of smoking it is probably 95% less harmful. The first rule of politics seems to be never discuss the real issues. If there were no excise taxes on tobacco Han Lic would get the Nobel prize in medicine and everybody knows it.

I don't think we saw 8/8 as the end, but as the beginning of the end. I stocked up on my basic needs before 8/8- now I can fill in gaps and maybe add in wants, at a more leisurely pace. What I purchased pre-8/8 gave me peace of mind, which is priceless really. I agree, none of what I purchased will go to waste, whether I use what I have or someone else does.

BTW, for me, if I had not stocked up what I did, when I did, I'd have been out of luck on some items, as they can no longer be found anywhere, or if they can, at a considerably higher price than I paid.

I wish I could hit your "like" buttons several times each because that is exactly how I feel. And reading all my thoughts posted by all of you validates mine because for a while I kept thinking "I'm overdoing it, I'm being paranoid, yada, yada, yada".

Personally I'm too stocked up...I can't possibly live long enough to use all that I have.

Perhaps the best thing for me is that after 8/8 there will be fewer "new" things introduced and I can stop chasing new shiny objects and just be happy with what I have. Of course there are still plenty of "old" shiny objects that I have not had the chance to use as of yet.

The FDA laid the foundation for states to tax the hell out of us. Pennsylvania just added a 40% tax to ecigs and soon other states will follow. Stocking up will save you money either way you look at it. Vaping will never go away as long as government can tax it.
