I have observed that taking 3x 4 second inhalation into mouth then lungs and out nose at 20mg/ml gives me a "high" for about 25 seconds.
I am worried about the use of "puffs", they probably took very quick puffs. Also one issue is how did they measure nicotine levels, as it is used up very quickly in the brain. "two 10-puff bouts with the two electronic cigarettes described here expose users to no measurable nicotine or CO and do not increase heartrate. " I've measured my pulse, and it increases ~10 seconds after vaping. I'm also worried about "own brand cigarette", is this a brand I haven't heard of or does it mean the researchers have their own brand? Edit: I'm just reading the paper, it seems "own brand" = participant's own brand. I will commented on something I read, because it is vapour (bigger particles than smoke) it needs to be held in the body for longer to be able to be absorbed as much. 10 puffs is a lot if done correctly, however I think they just did very quick mouth puffs and exhaled soon after.
