So last night I'm out with my daughter while she's trick 'r treating and we come to this house that is using a fog machine. Very heavy fog I might add.
I was standing at the road vaping while my daughter was getting her treats and this woman beside me started that fake coughing crap and asked me if I could not "do that" around her. Keep in mind that even at the road we were standing in the fog from the machine.
I said "I'm sorry, but I'm not smoking. It's a personal vaporizer." and tried to explain how it works, but she kept insisting that it's the same as smoking.
I got fed up and told her that if she was so concerned about her lungs than why the hell is she standing in the fog cause the same stuff is coming out of the machine! She just turned around and walked away with her nose in the air.

 some people...................

Funny story. I must admit, the timing is very confusing to me. You took here trick or treating 3 or 4 days before Halloween?
In my town trick or treat is always the thursday before halloween, so it puts it on the 26/27th of the month. I dont know why, it's just the way its always been :)

you trick or treat on halloween night? that would be cool if they did that around here.

Yes, here trick or treat takes place on halloween. Presents get opened on christmas day. Fireworks get set off on July 4th. New years eve takes place the last day of December. That's sort of the point of holidays.

I've never heard of this "The Thursday before" thing. The closest I've heard to that, there was some town mayor trying to convince everyone in town that Halloween should be celebrated the Saturday before in order to keep kids from doing their holiday on a school night. I'm pretty sure his plan never worked out. Doing it on the Thursday before doesn't even keep it away from school nights, so I can't see any reason for that at all.

The Thursday before thing is just around where I live. We also have a trunk or treat on the 15th and a costume capers trick or treat 2 days before the town trick or treat.

I can't stand those snooty, ignorant people that refuse to see that vapor is not smoke! You'd think that those "ooh, your smoking is killing me" people would be grateful that we're blowing out vapor instead of smoke, but they won't even give you enough respect to allow you to educate them. I've tried to tell complainers about ecigs and they just don't want to hear it. They figure if it looks like a cig, and acts like a cig, then that's what it is and that's that. Ignorant fools...

I'd rather have a PV that doesn't look too much like a cig, just because it helps with those problems.

That's a fairly easy choice, considering all the stuff that looks like a cig has such small batteries that they don't work well.

not all. My Volt is a cig style and it works better than all my other pv's including my mods. But I like the smaller more discreet pv's.

I honestly hated the fact people would fake cough when I smoked, that's so juvenile as is, just ask me to move. With vaping, I just get even more ....... I have politely explained what it was and most people don't respond and don't care, I have told people that it would be impossible for them to really cough so quit playing that role, that actually seems more effective.

I didn't start vaping with the mentality I could do it anywhere but I tend to get about the same amount of comments than if I was smoking. It sucks when you are not affecting ones health (I find it hard to believe that a few seconds of second hand smoke affects somebody's health in a real since as well though) and they still need to be rude. If you ask politely, I really don't mind, even though vaping isn't harmful, I don't like to have people disrespecting me. I do try to educate them, for the sake of the PV community (I refuse to call them e cigs), but if they don't like it, I don't mind. Just be nice, smokers are usually really nice when you treat them like normal people and most of us are ex smokers who would still be respectful.

The fog machine just adds to the irony. It may even be more dangerous, who knows lol.
