When I rub on my body glitter it has to be a dab about the size of a quarter for certain parts of my body, like left arm and right arm, chest and back (which my wife applies). It has to be applied from the top (my neck) down to my feet. If not I loose my focus.

I have the opposite of OCD if I see stuff lined up in a row I like to mess it up.

Oh yeah, that me too! I'm anti-ocd and an anti-hoarder. So much so that people with ocd tendencies and hoarding tendencies piss me off. I don't want to live in a filthy pit of chaos, but I can't get my panties in a wad about a little disorder. I love an asymmetrical design.... quirkiness (is that a word?)....texture & color... although I don't like a bunch of clutter. I like stuff put up out of sight, but the drawer, closet, box is usually a mess. LOL

I would say that I am just a little bit OCD. I do like to keep my bottles facing the same way in neat rows even spaced. Maybe just a touch hoarder too I like to have lots of spare coils and juice, but I'd say that's really just being prepared and well stocked up. Also I can't stand even a single fingerprint on a screen or mirror so I am cleaning those a lot. It's pretty bad with my touch screen tablet and iPhone, I must wipe off those screens several times a day when I use them.

For me it's even numbers, have to have volumes set on an even number, need to have 2 or 4 etc. of things, and my setup color matches my flavor; pink for strawberry, blue for blueberry, etc. lol. Glad I'm not the only one!

I am also super into even numbers, lol. It's especially obvious with 2-liter bottles of soda; I have to have an even number of bottles. My boyfriend likes to try and sneak an extra bottle in. I will make him go back and get another....

Very interesting posts, my middle son was diagnosed adhd long before most people had even heard of it in 1987. His teachers swore he learned by osmosis as he was all over the place and they thought he couldn't possibly be paying attention. My mom tells me I was very similar as a child. I remember in 2nd grade my teacher took 2" masking tape and taped my mouth shut, had to wear it all day except for lunch. (She would have been arrested for it now) I was always the 1st one done with papers and tests, I was bored out of my mind. My Mom can't believe that as an adult I am so quiet and reserved. I suspect I am adhd even though I have never been formally diagnosed, I base that on all I learned with my son. I just thank god my other 2 sons did not have adhd!! I look at other people in town they seem like they have it all together... you never know what demons they fight at home. Thank you all for your input in this thread, I love the humor and the insight.

Look into OCPD: Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. It's basically OCD light. None of the compulsions are life-breaking. Also, the obsessive compulsions tend to flare up more during high-stress periods, such as removing a compulsive habit that's been with you for years, especially one that your brain thinks it needs to produce certain neurotransmitters. Also,ADHD can behave similarly to OCD, and vice versa. ADHD is commonly self-medicated with nicotine. There is a hypothesis that OCD and ADHD are located on the same gene, and researchers are starting to look into the incidence of comorbidity.
Very interesting, that sounds like me for sure.

Over the years I have gotten more and more used to messes, and things not being clean, and things not being where they are supposed to be.
Probably more out of necessity than anything, given that my wife never gives a thought to where something should go.

She just puts everything down right where she is whenever she has finished using that thing, and she never cleans anything immediately after using it.

So I guess my thing is that a thing should be used, cleaned if needed, then put away.
My wife only recognizes the "using the thing" part and stops there.

Anyway, I can now go long periods of time with things all out of place, or crumbs on the counter, without needing to do anything about it.

But when I get stressed about something, all of the things that are out of place or need to be cleaned make me extremely agitated.
At that point I recruit the wife and we start cleaning and putting things away until I feel better.

Luckily I don't get stressed very often.
:)

Edit: It also looks like I need to clean my keyboard... Lol.

EEEEK!!!! All messed up and lids off too....

I detest crumbs left on the counter!

All of them bothered me, but #17 was the worst. I think I would have taken the Fig Newtons back to the store. Who in the #$% opens Fritos from the bottom?? :glare:
